Evaluation of the effect of ketoprofen on experimentally induced ephemeral fever in dairy heifers 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Objective To evaluate ketoprofen for the therapy of ephemeral fever.
Design A blind controlled clinical trial.
Animals Sixteen cattle (one immature Holstein bull, eight Holstein and seven Jersey heifers).
Procedure Ephemeral fever was induced by the intravenous injection of blood leucocyte layer from a clinical case. Ketoprofen solution or a coded placebo was injected intramuscularly at the rate of 3 mg/kg daily for three days.
Results Ketoprofen reversed locomotor dysfunctions significantly compared with controls, but did not have any effect on rectal temperatures, leucocyte counts, plasma fibrinogen concentrations, ionised Ca-concentrations or the presence of dyspnoea.
Conclusion Ketoprofen is a safe and effective drug for the treatment of locomotor symptoms of milk fever, but has no effect on the duration of clinical respiratory abnormalities. 相似文献

Dengue virus infections are a serious cause of morbidity and mortality in most tropical and subtropical areas of the world; Southeast and South Asia, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Dengue virus infection can be asymptomatic or causes two forms of illness, dengue fever (DF) and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), which is the severe form of dengue illness and often fatal. Pathogenesis of DHF has been analyzed, and two mechanisms are considered to be responsible. These include dengue serotype cross-reactive immune responses and virulence of the virus. The immunopathological mechanisms include a complex series of immune responses. Rapid increase in the levels of cytokines, especially TNF-, and chemical mediators play a key role in inducing unique clinical manifestations of DHF such as plasma leakage, shock, and hemorrhagic manifestations. It is understood that the process is initiated by infection with a virulent dengue virus, often in the presence of antibodies that enhance dengue virus infection in secondary infection, and then triggered by rapidly elevated cytokines and chemical mediators that were produced by intense immune activation. An immunohistochemical study of the tonsils was carried out to gain further insight in the pathogenesis of acute African swine fever (ASF). Twenty-one pigs were inoculated by intramuscular route with a highly virulent isolate of ASF virus and painlessly killed at 1-7dpi. Viral antigen was highly distributed in the tonsil from 3 to 4dpi and an increase in the number of monocyte-macrophages was very evident at the same days post inoculation. This phenomenon was observed together with an increase of the expression of proinflammatory cytokines (Tumour necrosis factor alpha and Interleukin-1 alpha) and the apoptosis of lymphocytes studied by the terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase-mediated dUTP nick end labelling (TUNEL) technique and haemorrhages. With these results, we can conclude that the tonsil is suffering similar lesions than those observed in other lymphoid organs in acute African swine fever, even when the route of inoculation is the intramuscular and not oral-nasal. 相似文献

在前期研究工作筛选出2种DNA疫苗质粒的基础上,采用3种免疫策略(DNA疫苗单独免疫法、DNA疫苗初免蛋白免疫加强的prime-boost方法以及沙门氏菌(Salmonella)载体介导法),于某规模化猪场对猪瘟病毒(CSFV)的DNA免疫效果进行了临床应用研究。随机选择未经猪瘟疫苗免疫的断奶仔猪60头,分6组进行免疫接种,检测免疫猪抗体产生情况并对各组免疫猪进行攻毒试验。免疫猪血清抗体ELISA检测结果表明,pcDSW组、pIRE2IL2组、pcDSW E2protein组和pIRE2IL2 E2protein组均产生了较高的抗体水平,而沙门氏菌介导的2种DNA疫苗质粒诱导的抗体水平不显著。攻毒试验结果表明,pcDSW和pIRE2IL2单独免疫组或prime-boost组能够抵抗致死剂量的CSFV石门强毒攻击,保护率87.50% ̄90.00%。其中pcDSW效果好于pIRE2IL2。而沙门氏菌介导的DNA疫苗组不能产生有效保护。不同接种途径的免疫效果比较结果表明,颈部肌肉注射免疫后产生的抗体水平较后肢胫前肌注射免疫产生的抗体水平高。 相似文献

采用热融法制备双氯灭痛退热栓剂,经质检合格后应用于临床。将501头发热病猪分成2组,其中248例为双氯灭痛栓剂组,253例为复方氨基比林注射液组,观察比较用药后不同时间的退热效果。结果表明,双氯灭痛栓剂组的退热显效率、总有效率和退热维持时间分别为87.10%、100%和(8.19±1.03)h,其作用明显优于复方氨基比林注射液组[退热显效率、总有效率和退热维持时间分别为27.27%、89.33%和(2.04±0.61)h],且双氯灭痛栓剂给药途径方便、成本较低,适宜于兽医临床推广应用。 相似文献
