Herbicide options for effective weed management in dry direct-seeded rice under scented rice-wheat rotation of western Indo-Gangetic Plains

Farmers' participatory field trials were conducted at Madhuban, and Taraori, the two participatory experimental sites/locations of the Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia (CSISA), a collaborative project of IRRI and CIMMYT in Karnal district of Haryana, India, during Kharif (wet season) 2010 and 2011. This research aimed to evaluate preemergence (PRE) and postemergence (POST) herbicides for providing feasible and economically viable weed management options to farmers for predominant scented rice varieties. Treatments with pendimethalin PRE fb bispyribac-sodium + azimsulfuron POST had lower weed biomass at 45 days after sowing (DAS). At Madhuban, highest grain yield of scented basmati rice (3.43 t ha⁻¹) was recorded with the sequential application of pendimethalin PRE fb bispyribac-sodium + azimsulfuron POST. However, at Taraori, yields were similar with pendimethalin or oxadiargyl PRE fb bispyribac-sodium and/or azimsulfuron POST. Applying oxadiargyl by mixing with sand onto flooded field was less effective than spray applications in non-flooded field. The benefit-cost ratio of rice crop was higher with herbicide treatments at both sites as compared with the non-treated weed-free check except single PRE and POST applications and sequential application of oxadiargyl PRE fb oxadiargyl PRE. In a separate experiment conducted at Nagla and Taraori sites, scented rice cultivars' ('CSR 30′ and 'Pusa 1121′) tolerance to three rates of azimsulfuron (15, 25, and 35 g ai ha⁻¹) was evaluated over two years (2010 and 2011). CSR 30 (superfine, scented) was more sensitive to higher rates (35 g ai ha⁻¹) of azimsulfuron as compared to Pusa 1121 (fine, scented). Crop injuries were 8 and 28% in case of CSR 30; 5 and 15% in Pusa 1121 when applied with azimsulfuron 25 and 35 g ai ha⁻¹, respectively. Azimsulfuron applied at 35 g ai ha⁻¹ reduced yield in both cultivars but in CSR 30 yield reduction was twofold (11.5%) as that of Pusa 1121 (5.2%).     

Establishment of Detection Methods for Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate in Injections by UPLC-PDA

A detection method of dexamethasone sodium phosphate in houttuynia injection,bupleurum injection,vitamin C injection,lincomycin hydrochloride injection,and asragulus polysacharin injection was established by UPLC-PDA.The Waters ACQUITY UPLC^® BEH C18 column(2.1 mm×50 mm,1.7 μm) was used,the mobile phase consisted of 0.75% triethylamine phosphatic liquor/solution (pH 3.0)-methyl alcohol-acetonitrile(50:45:5),the flow rate was 0.3 mL/min,the column temperature had remained 25℃,photodiode array detector wavelength range was 190 to 400 nm,the recorded wavelength was 242 nm,the injection volume was 10 μL.The linear range of dexamethasone sodium phosphatel was 10.0 to 200.0 mg/L (R²=0.9999),the mean recovery and RSD for dexamethasone sodium phosphate in houttuynia injection,bupleurum injection,vitamin C injection,lincomycin hydrochloride injection and asragulus polysacharin injection were 97.54% and 1.14%,101.59% and 0.19%,100.92% and 0.92%,99.82% and 0.73%,100.08% and 0.62%,respectively.This method was accurate,easy and fast,it was suitable for detection of dexamethasone sodium phosphatein houttuynia injection and other four kinds of injections.     

Managing soil quality for humanity and the planet

Rather than a human-centric, the basic strategy of achieving Sustainable Development Goals must be focused on restoring and sustaining planetary processes. The urgency of meeting the demands of the humanity must be reconciled with the necessity of enhancing the environment. Increasing and restoring soil organic matter content of the degraded and depleted soils is critical to strengthening planetary processes.     

Effect of tetrandrine on radiosensitivity of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells

AIM: To investigate the mechanism of the radiosensitizing effect of maximum non-cytotoxic doses of tetrandrine (Tet) on nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines CNE1 and CNE2.METHODS: The cells were treated with ma-ximum non-cytotoxic doses of Tet (for CNE1 cells at 1.5 μmol/L and for CNE2 cells at 1.8 μmol/L), irradiation at 4 Gy, or combination of irradiation and maximum non-cytotoxic doses of Tet. The cell cycle distribution was analyzed by flow cytometry. The protein levels of γ-H2AX, cleaved caspase-3, p-CDC25C, CDK1, p-CDK1, cyclin B1, ERK and p-ERK were determined by Western blot.RESULTS: The expression of γ-H2AX was increased in CNE1 cells and CNE2 cells after combined treatment with irradiation and maximum non-cytotoxic doses of Tet. The percentages of CNE1 cells and CNE2 cells at G₂/M phase in irradiation group were (18.09±0.42)% and (18.48±1.32)%, respectively, which were decreased to (15.88±1.04)% and (13.80±0.82)% in combined treatment group, respectively (P<0.05). Combined treatment enhanced the increase in the protein level of cleaved caspase-3 caused by irradiation. The protein levels of p-CDC25C and p-CDK1 were increased in a dose-dependent manner by Tet treatment (P<0.05), while the expression of CDK1 showed no difference among different doses of Tet treatments. The protein levels of p-CDC25C, p-CDK1 and CDK1 showed no difference after the treatment with maximum non-cytotoxic doses of Tet. The combined treatment with irradiation and the maximum non-cytotoxic doses of Tet decreased the protein levels of p-CDC25C and p-CDK1 (P<0.05), increased the expression of cyclin B1, and had no influence on the expression of CDK1 (P<0.05). The combined treatment resulted in an increase in the protein level of p-ERK1 (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The maximum non-cytotoxic doses of Tet enhance the DNA damage and apoptosis in CNE1 cells and CNE2 cells caused by irradiation, and the mechanism might be associated with ending of G₂/M arrest via activation of ERK/CDC25C/CDK1/cyclin B1 pathways.     

日粮中添加维生素C对热应激长毛兔的影响

[目的]探讨日粮中添加维生素C对长毛兔夏季热应激的缓解效果。[方法]选择80只10月龄长毛兔随机分成5组,分别为对照组、试验组Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ,在夏季高温条件下在基础日粮中分别添加0、500、1 000、1 500和2 000 mg/kg维生素C粉,研究维生素C对缓解长毛兔热应激效果的作用。[结果]夏季长毛兔基础日粮中添加维生素C可以有效提高单次产毛量。日粮中添加维生素C对长毛兔血清中葡萄糖、谷丙转氨酶、谷草转氨酶、甘油三酯、胆固醇及高密度脂蛋白的影响较小,对全血中白细胞(WBC)、中值细胞(MID)、嗜中性粒细胞(GRN)和红细胞(RBC)数量的影响较大。从经济成本等综合考虑,为缓解夏季热应激,长毛兔基础日粮中维生素C的适宜添加量为1 000 mg/kg。[结论]夏季高温时,在长毛兔日粮中添加维生素C能有效缓解长毛兔的热应激效应。     

细菌鞭毛蛋白作为佐剂的研究进展

细菌鞭毛蛋白作为Toll样受体5(TLR5)或NOD样受体C4(NLRC4)的配体,其结构决定了其既有抗原性又具有佐剂效应。将细菌鞭毛蛋白与外源抗原混合或融合表达,已获得多种有效的候选疫苗。细菌鞭毛蛋白佐剂效应主要是通过TLR5和NLRC4信号途径协同实现的。TLR5位于细胞表面,可触发炎性因子、趋化因子和Ⅰ型干扰素的分泌,启动天然免疫应答。NLRC4是细胞质中的模式识别受体,可识别细胞质中的多种配体并诱导相应免疫应答。另外,细菌鞭毛蛋白能募集T淋巴细胞和B淋巴细胞至次级淋巴器官,促进DCs和T淋巴细胞的活化。细菌鞭毛蛋白的可塑性将会使得以细菌鞭毛蛋白为基础的疫苗成为当前和未来研究的热点。     

基于Cortex-M4内核的μCOS-Ⅱ移植

针对TI公司新推出的基于Cortex-M4内核的TM4C123G高性能低功耗芯片,详细介绍了嵌入式开源实时操作系统μCOS-Ⅱ在芯片上的移植方法。根据移植的需求,首先介绍了芯片的一些基本功能以及相关的软件开发环境,然后结合芯片的固有特性以及μCOS-Ⅱ移植的需求,使用C语言和汇编语言修改了相关的源文件,并详细阐述了修改的原因。     

不同合成树脂工艺对改性材性能影响研究

为研究树脂对改性材性能的影响，采用2种不同工艺合成三聚氰胺-脲醛树脂（MUF），测试了树脂的相关性能。结果表明，不同合成工艺路线下制备的 MUF 树脂在固体含量、粘度、固化时间、游离甲醛含量间存在显著差异。最终树脂的分子结构类型相似性极高，但相同结构组分在不同树脂中所占比例各有差异。羟甲基基团在MUF2中所占比例高，而亚甲基桥键及醚键在MUF1中含量高。MUF1改性材的增重率（weight percent gain，WPG）值更大，但MUF2改性材的抗溶胀性（anti-swelling efficiency，ASE）和体积膨胀率（bulking rates，B）更高，MUF2改性材的尺寸稳定性更好。

水位检测远程传输系统

本系统以STC89C51单片机为控制核心,HC-SR04超声波模块进行测距,GSM模块进行远程传输[1],LCD12864和矩阵键盘进行数据显示和更改等操作。据实验,该系统测量结果准确、灵敏度高、使用可靠、性价比高,具有很好的实用价值。
