为探究同期排卵处理母牛体温和活动量变化规律及不同同期排卵技术处理效果,指导同期排卵技术优化。本研究自动监测了18头20月龄左右同期排卵(GnRH-PG-GnRH)处理荷斯坦母牛和17头产后40~60 d预同期排卵(PG-PG-GnRH-PG-GnRH)处理荷斯坦母牛的体温和活动量,应用自动检测系统进行母牛发情监测。结果发现,同期排卵处理母牛发情时阴道温度平均升高(0.43±0.20)℃,持续(12.37±2.73)h;活动量平均升高(18.28±18.61)倍,持续(11.00±1.68)h;排卵时阴道温度平均下降(0.20±0.10)℃,持续(11.00±1.68)h。自动化发情监测显示,同期排卵处理母牛7头发情并排卵;预同期排卵母牛GnRH处理前全部发情排卵。两种同期排卵处理,虽可改变母牛性周期进程,促进母牛性周期同步化,但均难以使母牛性周期完全同步。因此,将同期排卵-定时输精和发情鉴定技术科学结合才能取得更好的繁殖效果。  相似文献

Two nutritional levels following parturition and five weaning ages for the calf were evaluated to study their effect of reproduction in Gyr cows in the savannas of West Central Brazil (Campos Cerrados). Early weaning of calves reduced postpartum weight losses and shortened the postpartum interval to conception. Energy level did not affect cow weight at weaning or conception, the number of days from parturition to first estrus or the number of matings/conception; however, the postpartum period to conception was reduced (116 vs 160 d; P less than .05) for cows on the higher energy diet. Weaning age significantly affected postpartum weight loss in cows. Six months after calving, cows that nursed calves for 1 mo were 89 kg heavier than those that nursed calves for 6 mo (384 vs 295 kg; P less than .05). Cows that were nursed for 1 mo returned to estrus at an average of 40 d postpartum, which was 23 d earlier (P less than .05) than the average of the other groups nursed for longer periods of time. There was no significant difference in the postpartum period to conception among cows that had their calves weaned at 1 mo, 3 mo and cows which were nursed twice daily beginning 30 d after parturition (57, 94 and 97 d, respectively), but was less (P less than .05) for cows nursed for 5 or 6 mo (212 and 231 d, respectively). The results show that Gyr cattle are genetically capable of responding reproductively to improve nutrition and reduced lactation stress achieved through early weaning or controlled nursing.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine whether an antiestrogen (enclomiphene) would shorten the interval to first estrus and conception in postpartum beef cows. Sixty postpartum Angus beef cows were stratified by age, body condition, and calving date and were randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups. Group 1 cows (n = 24) received three silastic implants, each containing 150 mg of enclomiphene, on d 20 postpartum. Implants were removed on d 30 postpartum. Group 2 cows (n = 28), received empty implants and served as controls. Cows were artificially inseminated at first detected estrus. Estrus detection and ovulation were further verified by increased serum progesterone. Concentrations and pulse frequencies of LH were determined from blood samples collected at 15-min intervals for 6 h on d 20, 25, 30, and 40 postpartum. Hypothalami and pituitaries were collected from four cows in each treatment group on d 30 postpartum and analyzed for concentrations of estradiol receptors. Concentrations of total and unoccupied hypothalamic and pituitary estradiol receptors were reduced by enclomiphene. Neither concentrations nor pulse frequencies of LH differed significantly between treatment groups on any of the 4 d. Days to first estrus did not differ (P greater than .05) between enclomiphene-treated (57 +/- 6; n = 24) and control (56 +/- 4; n = 28) cows. Days to conception did not differ between treated (81 +/- 9) and control (79 +/- 8) cows. The dose of enclomiphene used in this study reduced hypothalamic and pituitary estrogen receptors but did not alter secretion of LH or days to first estrus in the postpartum beef cow.  相似文献

Three experiments were conducted to induce estrus and(or) ovulation in 1,590 suckled beef cows at the beginning of a spring breeding season. In Exp. 1, 890 cows at three locations were allotted to three treatments: 1) GnRH on d -7 + prostaglandin F2alpha (PGF2alpha) on d 0 (Select Synch); 2) GnRH on d -7 + PGF2alpha on d 0 (first day of the breeding season) plus a norgestomet implant (NORG) between d -7 and 0 (Select Synch + NORG); or 3) two injections of PGF2alpha given 14 d apart (2xPGF2alpha). More (P < 0.05) cycling cows were detected to have been in estrus after both treatments that included GnRH, whereas, among noncycling cows, the addition of norgestomet further increased (P < 0.05) the proportion in estrus. Pregnancy rates were greater (P < 0.01) among noncycling cows after treatments that included GnRH. For cows that calved >60 d before the onset of the breeding season, conception rates were greater (P < 0.01) than those that calved < or =60 d regardless of treatment, whereas days postpartum had no effect on rates of detected estrus. When body condition scores were < or =4 compared with >4, rates of detected estrus (P < 0.05) and conception (P = 0.07) were increased. In Exp. 2, 164 cows were treated with the Select Synch + NORG treatment and were inseminated either after estrus or at 16 h after a second GnRH injection (given 48 h after PGF2alpha). Conception and pregnancy rates tended (P = 0.08) to be or were less (P < 0.05), respectively, for noncycling cows inseminated by appointment, but pregnancy rates exceeded 53% in both protocols. In Exp. 3, 536 cows at three locations were treated with the Select Synch protocol as in Exp. 1 and inseminated either: 1) after detected estrus (Select Synch); 2) at 54 h after PGF2alpha when a second GnRH injection also was administered (Cosynch); or 3) after detected estrus until 54 h, or in the absence of estrus, at 54 h plus a second GnRH injection (Select Synch + Cosynch). Conception rates were reduced (P < 0.01) in cows that were inseminated by appointment. An interaction of AI protocol and cycling status occurred (P = 0.05) for pregnancy rates with differing results for cycling and noncycling cows. Across experiments, variable proportions of cows at various locations (21 to 78%) were cycling before the breeding season. With the GnRH or GnRH + NORG treatments, ovulation was induced in some noncycling cows. Conception rates were normal and pregnancy rates were greater than those after a PGF2alpha program, particularly when inseminations occurred after detected estrus.  相似文献

An experiment was performed to evaluate the effect of the side of ovulation with respect to the previously gravid uterine horn on fertility of cows inseminated at one of two periods postpartum. All cows were treated with an intravaginal progesterone insert for 7 d and received estradiol benzoate (2 mg, i.m.) at the time of device insertion, prostaglandin F2alpha (25 mg, i.m.) at the time of device removal, and estradiol benzoate (1 mg, i.m.) 30 h after device removal. All cows were inseminated 28 to 30 h after the second treatment with estradiol benzoate, regardless of observed estrus. Cows treated in Period 1 received inserts at 16 to 20 d postpartum and were inseminated at 25 to 29 d postpartum. Cows treated in Period 2 received inserts at 26 to 30 d postpartum and were inseminated at 35 to 39 d postpartum. Diameter of the largest follicle at insert removal was greater in cows treated in Period 2 (10.1 +/- 0.3; mm +/- SEM) than in cows treated in Period 1 (9.1 +/- 0.3; P < .05). Diameter did not differ with the side of ovulation in respect to the previously gravid uterine horn. Diameter was greater in cows 5 to 9 (10.3 +/- 0.3) than in cows 3 to 4 (9.0 +/- 0.3) or 10 to 13 (9.4 +/- 0.6) yr of age (P < .01). The proportion of cows that ovulated from the ovary contralateral to the previously gravid uterine horn was greater (P < .05) than of those that ovulated from the ipsilateral ovary, and the incidence of ovulation was reduced in cows 3 to 4 yr of age (P < .01). Conception rate tended to be greater for ovulation from the ipsilateral compared with the contralateral ovary, relative to the previously gravid uterine horn (P < .10) and for ovulation from the right than the left ovary (P < .06). Conception rate was less if cows ovulated a follicle that was < 9 mm than a follicle > or = 9 mm in diameter at insert removal (P < .01) and was greater in cows inseminated in June than in April or May (P < .05). In conclusion, in cows in which estrus was synchronized at 25 to 39 d postpartum, ovulation from either the ovary ipsilateral to the previously gravid uterine horn, or the right ovary, tended to increase fertility.  相似文献

An estrus synchronization protocol (7-11 Synch) was developed to synchronize the first follicular wave and timing of ovulation in postpartum beef cows. In Exp. 1, follicular development and timing of ovulation in response to the following protocol were evaluated. Beef heifers (n = 12) and cows (n = 6), at random stages of the estrous cycle, were fed melengestrol acetate (MGA; .5 mg x animal(-1) x d(-1)) for 7 d and injected with PGF2alpha (PG; 25 mg) on the last day of MGA. A second injection of PG was administered 11 d after cessation of MGA. After the second injection of PG, estrus was synchronized in 6/12 heifers and 3/6 cows. The interval to estrus in heifers and cows was 54 and 64 h, respectively (P > .10). All animals exhibiting estrus ovulated first-wave follicles. Animals that failed to respond to the second injection of PG were in estrus later than 6 d after cessation of MGA and had corpora lutea that were unresponsive to the injection of PG. Based on the variation in interval to estrus following the first PG injection on the last day of MGA feeding in Exp. 1, an injection of GnRH (100 microg) was added to the protocol 4 d after the cessation of MGA to ensure ovulation or luteinization of dominant follicles and synchronization of first-wave follicular development. This revised protocol was termed "7-11 Synch." In Exp. 2, two estrus synchronization protocols were compared. Multiparous beef cows were stratified by breed and postpartum interval and randomly assigned to the 7-11 Synch (n = 44) or Select Synch protocols (GnRH injection followed by PG injection 7 d later; n = 45). Timing of estrus after the last PG injection (0 h) ranged from 42 to 102 h in the 7-11 Synch group and -30 to 114 h in the Select Synch group. Eight cows (18%) in the Select Synch group exhibited estrus 30 h before to 18 h after PG. Synchronized estrus peaked between 42 and 66 h after the last PG injection, and a maximum number of cows were in estrus at 54 h for both treatment groups. Synchrony of estrus from 42 to 66 h was greater (P < .05) in 7-11 Synch (91%: 41/44) than in Select Synch cows (69%: 31/45). Artificial insemination pregnancy rate from 42 to 66 h was greater (P < .05) in the 7-11 Synch group (66%: 29/44) than in the Select Synch group (40%: 18/45). In summary, the 7-11 Synch protocol improved synchrony of estrus without reducing fertility. This protocol has potential future application for fixed-time AI in beef cattle production systems.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of BCS at calving and the amount of postpartum protein supplementation on the dominant follicle (DF) and behavioral characteristics at the first postpartum estrus of mature beef cows. Multiparous Angus x Hereford cows (n = 45) were fed to calve in thin (T; < 5) or moderate (M; >or=5) BCS. Cows were stratified by BCS and calving date, and randomly assigned to receive lesser (L; 1.2 kg/d) or greater (G; 2.5 kg/d) amounts of a 42% CP supplement. All cows grazed the same native grass pasture and were fed in individual stalls for 49 +/- 2 d. Beginning 20 d after calving, blood samples were collected from each cow thrice weekly, and estrous behavior was monitored continuously with a radiotelemetry system. At 4 to 16 h after the onset of estrus, size of the DF was determined by ultrasonography. Body condition score of T cows was less (P < 0.01) at calving than M cows; L and G cows had similar BCS at calving and at the end of the feeding period. Body weight gains during treatment did not differ for L or G cows. Duration from calving to first estrus was greater (P < 0.01) for T than M cows. The incidence of a short luteal phase before first estrus was not influenced by BCS or protein supplement. Concentrations of IGF-I in plasma tended (P < 0.07) to be greater and size of the DF was greater (P < 0.01) for M than T cows. Size of the DF tended (P < 0.06) to be greater for G than L cows. Duration and number of mounts received at the first estrus were not influenced by BCS or supplement. Pregnancy rate of M cows during the breeding season was greater (P < 0.05) than T cows. Postpartum protein intake and BCS at calving influenced the size of the DF at the first postpartum estrus in mature suckled beef cows. Cows should be managed to calve in moderate BCS and maintain BW after parturition to decrease the interval to first estrus, increase follicular development, and maximize pregnancy rate.  相似文献

In Exp. 1, the objective was to determine if interval of separating calves from cows (24 or 48 h) immediately before insemination affects detection and precision of estrus and pregnancy rates of lactating beef cows implanted with norgestomet. Separation of calves from cows for 24 h (n = 418) lengthened intervals to estrus, did not affect precision of estrus, reduced success of detecting estrus and lowered pregnancy rates relative to positive controls (48 h separation, n = 508). Cows with poor body condition, and not suckled for 24 h, conceived at lower rates than cows with similar condition that were not suckled for 48 h. Adverse effects of separation for only 24 h on fertility are apparently due to inadequate intervals between estrus and insemination at 48 h after removing implants. In Exp. 2, the objective was to determine effects of separating calves from cows for 48 h immediately before insemination on detection and precision of estrus and on pregnancy rate of ovulatory lactating beef cows injected twice with prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2 alpha). Weaning increased detection of estrus but overall pregnancy rates did not differ between suckled (n = 256) and nonsuckled (n = 221) cows. But, weaning calves improved pregnancy rates of young (2 to 3 yr) cows and reduced fertility among middle (4 to 6 yr)-aged cows. A study was conducted to determine the effect of the milk-ejection reflex on exogenous gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH)-induced release of luteinizing hormone (LH) after short-term calf removal. Twenty-four postpartum multiparous beef cows were assigned randomly to groups arranged in a 2(3) factorial arrangement. Factors consisted of two levels of suckling [suckled (S) or nonsuckled (NS)], treatment with GnRH [saline (C) or 200 micrograms GnRH] and days postpartum (d 1 and 14). Dams were isolated from their calves for 4 h on d 1 and 14 postpartum. At the end of 4 h dams were reunited with their calves in S + C and S + GnRH groups, while dams of calves in NS + C and NS + GnRH groups remained separated an additional 2 h. Cows were injected iv with saline or GnRH following the 4-h isolation period, 5 min after calves had begun suckling or nuzzling the udder. Sera from jugular blood samples collected 15 min prior to the end of the 4-h isolation period, immediately prior to injection (0 h) and at 15 min intervals thereafter for 120 min were analyzed for LH. Serum concentrations of LH in control cows did not differ due to suckling or stage of the postpartum period and averaged 2.3 +/- .1 ng/ml. Pituitary response to GnRH was determined by computing the rate of LH release. Rate of LH release (ng LH.ml-1.min-1) in response to GnRH on d 14 was greater (P less than .001) than on d 1 in both suckled and nonsuckled groups (S + GnRH, 37.1 +/- 3.9 vs 18.3 +/- 5.0; NS + GnRH, 34.7 +/- 5.9 vs 14.5 +/- 1.1). However, GnRH-induced release of LH did not differ between suckled and nonsuckled cows on either d 1 or 14 postpartum. These data indicate that response of the bovine pituitary to GnRH during the postpartum period is not influenced by the act of suckling but is enhanced with time after parturition.  相似文献

Food additives made of placenta tissues of healthy cattle, included in the diet of cows 23–38 days before calving and/or in different intervals of the postpartum period, stimulated the resumption of ovary activity and the manifestation of normal estrus cycles (with ovulation) in cows. The cow fertilization rates during 80 days after calving was 50–80%. These values increased more than twofold in comparison with the fertility level of cows fed a normal diet. The level of fertilization after inclusion of placenta‐containing additives in the diet of cows 5 days before ovulation, in estrus cycles that took place during 6 months after calving, increased 38 % on average, in comparison with that of cows fed a normal diet.  相似文献

A field trial was designed to determine the efficacy of a combination rotavirus-coronavirus/Escherichia coli vaccine on dairy farms in southwestern Ontario. In Part A of the trial, 321 cows on 15 farms were randomly assigned to either vaccination or placebo groups. On eight farms, 50% of the dams were vaccinated, while on the other seven farms, 80% of the dams were vaccinated. In Part B of the trial, 26 farms were randomly assigned to either a total vaccination program or to no vaccination program. Mortality, disease occurrence and weight gains were recorded on all calves for the first two weeks of life. In Part A, 23.5% of all calves were treated in the first two weeks of life, 20.9% were treated specifically for scours and 3.6% of live-born calves died. Enteropathogenic E. coli was identified on 13 of the 15 farms, rotavirus on 11 and coronavirus on ten. At least one of the three potential pathogens was found on every farm. There were no significant differences between calves from placebo-treated and vaccine-treated dams with regard to the proportion treated for all diseases, or for scours, or the proportion which died. Neither were there differences in days to first treatment for all diseases (seven days on average), days to first scour (6.7 days), duration of treatments (3.9 days for all diseases, 3.7 days for scours), or estimated weight gains (0.5 kg/day to 14 days). Cows that exhibit estrus within 24 h of fixed-time AI have elevated concentrations of estradiol and greater pregnancy rates compared with cows not in estrus. Our objective was to determine whether estradiol, estrus, or both had an effect on uterine pH during a fixed-time AI protocol. Beef cows were treated with the CO-Synch protocol (100 mircog of GnRH on d -9; 25 mg of PGF(2alpha) on d -2; and 100 mircog of GnRH on d 0). One-half of the cows received an injection of estradiol cypionate (ECP; 1 mg) 12 h after PGF(2alpha). Cows detected in standing estrus within 24 h of the second GnRH injection were considered to be in standing estrus. Uterine pH was determined in all animals 12, 24, and 48 h after the PGF(2alpha) injection. For Exp. 1, pH was also determined 72 and 96 h after the PGF(2alpha) injection; in Exp. 2, pH was also determined at 54, 60, 66, 72, 78, 84, 90, and 96 h after the PGF(2alpha) injection or until ovulation. A treatment x time interaction (P < 0.01) influenced concentrations of estradiol. All cows had similar (P > 0.15) concentrations of estradiol at the time of ECP administration, but after ECP treatment all cows treated with ECP and control cows that exhibited estrus had greater (P < 0.01) concentrations of estradiol compared with nontreated cows that did not exhibit estrus. In all animals, estradiol diminished 48 h after the PGF(2alpha) (time of the second GnRH injection), but ECP-treated cows, regardless of estrus, had elevated (P < 0.02) concentrations of estradiol compared with control cows. There was a treatment x time interaction (P < 0.001) on uterine pH. All cows had similar uterine pH (P > 0.19) 24 h after the PGF(2alpha) injection. Control cows that did not exhibit estrus had a greater uterine pH compared with control cows that exhibited estrus (P < 0.01) and ECP cows that exhibited estrus (P = 0.05) 48 h after the PGF(2alpha) injection (7.0 +/- 0.1 vs. 6.7 +/- 0.1 and 6.8 +/- 0.1, respectively). Estradiol cypionate-treated cows not exhibiting estrus were intermediate (6.8 +/- 0.1; P > 0.05). All cows had similar uterine pH 72 h after the PGF(2alpha) injection through ovulation (P > 0.06). In summary, uterine pH was similar among all animals that exhibited estrus, regardless of treatment with ECP.  相似文献

Previously published reports have indicated that postpartum anovulatory intervals can be markedly reduced and rebreeding performance enhanced in Bos taurus cows by eliminating nighttime suckling. We sought to confirm this hypothesis by examining the effects of day, nighttime, and ad libitum suckling on suckling behavior of calves, duration of the postpartum anovulatory interval, and pregnancy rates in 45 fall-calving Brahman x Hereford (F1) cows. Beginning on d 9 to 12 postpartum, calves were removed from lactating cows from 0700 to 1900 (Night-Suckled, n = 15) or from 1900 to 0700 (Day-Suckled, n = 15), or remained with their dams continuously (Ad Libitum-Suckled, n = 15). Cows in each group were maintained with fertile Angus bulls from d 10 postpartum until the first normal luteal phase or 100 d postpartum, whichever occurred first. Cows were observed for estrous behavior twice daily, and jugular blood samples were collected twice weekly for the determination of serum progesterone concentration. Mean number of suckling episodes per 24 h was greater (P < .0001) for the Ad Libitum-Suckled group than either Night- or Day-Suckled groups (5.9+/-.42 vs 3.8+/-.14, and 3.9+/-.32, respectively). Hourly analysis of suckling episodes in the Ad Libitum group indicated that they were not skewed toward a particular period, with suckling occurring at a periodicity of 4 to 6 h. Intervals to the first rise in progesterone > or = 1 ng/mL (32+/-2.5, 32+/-4.5, and 31+/-1.7 d, respectively), first normal luteal phase (38+/-3.1, 38+/-3.8, and 37+/-2.5 d, respectively), and first estrus (43+/-3.5, 40+/-3.9, and 36+/-1.1 d, respectively) did not differ (P > .05) among the three groups. Similarly, cumulative pregnancy rates within 100 d after calving did not differ (P > .05). These results in Bos indicus x Bos taurus (F1) cattle do not support the previous conclusions in Bos taurus that eliminating nighttime suckling reduces the postpartum anovulatory interval.  相似文献

为了解产后母牛的繁殖状况,明确产后护理的应用效果,选择饲养管理条件相同、日粮配方及营养水平相同、不同胎次的围产期西门塔尔母牛,每批次护理组105头、对照组35头,3批次共计420头,进行产后护理对母牛体况恢复和繁殖能力影响的研究。结果显示:护理组胎衣不下、乳房炎、子宫内膜炎极显著低于对照组(P<0.01),其他疫病发病率显著低于对照组(P<0.05);护理组恶露排放期、子宫复旧时间极显著低于对照组(P<0.01),45 d以下黄体、卵泡和46~60 d黄体发育极显著高于对照组(P<0.01),45 d以下及46~60 d发情率、情期受胎率显著高于对照组(P<0.01),61~90 d及91 d以上发情率、产后配种天数显著低于对照组(P<0.01)。提示:护理模式对产后母牛的干预效果明显,可显著促进母牛产后体况快速恢复,促进了卵巢黄体、卵泡的发育,缩短了产后配种天数,提高了情期受胎率。  相似文献

Productivity of 3-, 4-, and 5-yr-old crossbred cows containing various proportions (0, 1/4, or 1/2) of Brahman breeding out of Angus or Hereford dams was evaluated using 489 spring-calving and 427 fall-calving records collected over a 4-yr period. Cows were bred to Limousin sires for the first 3 yr and to Limousin and Salers sires the 4th yr. Interactions between crossbred cow group and season of calving were not significant. Percentage of cows exposed to breeding that weaned a calf increased (P less than .01) as proportion Brahman breeding increased, was higher (P less than .01) for cows out of Angus dams than for cows out of Hereford dams, and was higher (P less than .01) for spring-calving cows. As the proportion Brahman increased, the percentage requiring assistance at birth decreased, and cows out of Angus dams required less (P less than .05) assistance than those out of Hereford dams. Preweaning ADG, adjusted weaning weight, weaning conformation, weaning condition, and adjusted weaning hip height increased a proportion Brahman breeding increased. Spring-born calves gained .12 kg/d faster (P less than .01) than fall-born calves. However, weight at weaning was similar for the two groups; spring-born calves were weaned at an average age of 205 d, and fall-born calves were weaned at an average age of 240 d. Fall-calving cows were heavier (P less than .05) than spring-calving cows, and 0 and 1/2 Brahman cows were heavier (P less than .01) than 1/4 Brahman cows. The effects of calf isolation and restricted suckling on LH pulse characteristics and interval to first ovulation (postpartum interval) were studied in 52 multiparous beef cows, with or without exogenous progesterone. At 30 d postpartum, cows were randomly allocated to one of four treatments (n = 13/treatment): 1) Ad lib, ad libitum access of cows to calves; 2) CI/RS, calf isolation/restricted suckling, where suckling was restricted to once daily; 3) CI/RS+P4, same as CI/RS but cows received an intravaginal progesterone-releasing device at calf isolation for 6 d; or 4) CI/RS+P4+E2, as CI/RS+P4 but the intravaginal progesterone-releasing device had a 10-mg estradiol capsule attached. Daily ovarian scanning and twice-daily blood sampling were performed from d 25 postpartum until the day of second ovulation. A random sample of cows from each treatment (n = 31 in total) were blood-sampled at 15-min intervals for 10 h on d 29, 32, 35, and 38. Ovulatory response to treatment was regarded as ovulation of either the dominant follicle growing at d 30 or the subsequent DF. There was a treatment x day effect (P = .09) on LH pulse frequency, but neither progesterone (CI/ RS+P4) nor progesterone and estradiol (CI/RS+P4+E2) treatment suppressed the calf isolation/restricted suckling-induced increase in LH pulse frequency. The estradiol capsule (CI/RS+P4+E2) delivered sufficient estradiol to delay new follicle wave emergence (treatment x stage; P < .001) and the associated preemergence increase in concentrations of FSH (treatment, P < .05) in cows treated at the postselection stage of follicle wave development, prolonging dominance of the dominant follicle present at treatment initiation (P < .001). The number of cows that ovulated in response to treatment was greater (P < .001) in cows with calf isolation/restricted suckling than in cows suckled ad libitum. Hence, cows assigned to the Ad lib treatment had a longer postpartum interval (P < .001) than cows of the other treatments. Exogenous progesterone treatment increased the frequency of cows exhibiting clinical signs of estrus at first ovulation (P < .001) and reduced the frequency of short estrous cycles (P < .001). We conclude that, in beef cows with calves, a 6-d progesterone treatment does not suppress the calf isolation/restricted suckling-induced increase in LH pulse frequency. Hence, on progesterone withdrawal, the LH pulse frequency is sufficient to stimulate first ovulation, accompanied by overt estrous expression and elimination of a short estrous cycle in most cows.  相似文献

在研究不同比例全株玉米青贮、谷草和羊草组合日粮饲喂干奶前期奶牛对其围产期生产性能和血液生化及免疫指标的影响。选择健康、体况一致的干奶前期荷斯坦奶牛45头,根据体重、胎次及预产期接近(P>0.05)的原则将奶牛随机分为试验A、B和C组,每组15头。分别以精料、全株玉米青贮、谷草和羊草16∶24∶30∶30(A组)、16∶24∶45∶15(B组)和16∶24∶60∶0(C组)比例配合日粮饲喂。产前2周将3组试验牛转入围产牛群,3个试验组开始饲喂场内同一围产前期和新产牛日粮。试验期88 d。结果表明:1)与C组相比,B组在产后1、2和3周的干物质采食量分别提高10.46%(P<0.05)、7.79%(P<0.05)和5.65%(P<0.05)。除产后1周外,产后2、3周B组的奶牛体况评分分别比C组高6.60%(P<0.05)和9.06%(P<0.05)。2)各试验组的犊牛初生重差异不显著(P>0.05)。试验A、B组初乳免疫球蛋白G(IgG)含量分别比C组提高10.82%(P<0.01)和18.07%(P<0.01)。3)与C组相比,B组产后21 d产奶量提高9.00%(P<0.05),乳非脂固形物率提高2.83%(P<0.05),乳蛋白率提高10.59%(P<0.05),乳糖率提高5.64%(P<0.05)。各试验组间乳脂率和尿素氮无显著差异(P>0.05)。4)分娩当天和产后21 d,B组的血清甘油三酯含量显著低于A和C组(P<0.05),B组的血糖含量显著高于A和C组(P<0.05), B组的血清尿素氮和胰岛素显著低于C组(P<0.05),B组的胰岛素样生长因子I(IGF-I)和总蛋白显著高于C组(P<0.05);在产前7 d和分娩当天,B组的血清免疫球蛋白A(IgA)、免疫球蛋白B(IgM)和IgG显著高于C组(P<0.05);在产后21 d,B组的血清IgM和IgG含量显著高于C组(P<0.05);产前7 d和分娩当天,B组瘦素显著高于C组,而B组的血清非酯化脂肪酸(NEFA)含量显著低于C组(P<0.05);在产前7 d、分娩当天和产后21 d,B组的胆固醇均显著低于C组(P<0.05),B组的血清白蛋白含量显著高于C组,B组谷草转氨酶(AST)和谷丙转氨酶(ALT)也显著低于C组(P<0.05)。各试验组间β-羟丁酸无显著差异(P>0.05)。综合分析,干奶前期饲粮组成和养分水平可影响围产期奶牛的机体代谢和生产性能。在本试验条件下,干奶前期奶牛日粮中精料、全株玉米青贮、谷草和羊草的适宜比例为16∶24∶45∶15。  相似文献

摘要:[目的]探究繁殖营养素对西门塔尔杂交母牛繁殖性能、产后健康及犊牛生长性能的影响。[方法]试验对33头390kg左右妊娠8-9月的初配西门塔尔杂交母牛饲喂不同添加量的繁殖营养,对母牛繁殖性能、产后健康及犊牛生长性能的数据进行分析。[结果]饲喂10g/(头·d)繁殖营养素母牛人工助产率较对照组大幅降低,且犊牛成活率提高,犊牛发病率减少。第一次发情时间提前7.42d,且受胎率也有所提高;饲喂10g/(头·d)繁殖营养素大幅度降低了母牛胎衣不下、子宫炎和乳房炎疾病的发病率;添加了10g/(头·d)繁殖营养素组的犊牛从出生到产后3月龄,其体重和体尺都有不同程度提高。[结论]母牛日粮中添加10g/(头·d)繁殖营养素能提高母牛繁殖性能、降低母牛产后疾病的发生率以及一定程度上提高犊牛的生长性能。  相似文献

Pregnancy rate to the Ovsynch protocol can be improved if cows are presynchronized (i.e., two PGF(2alpha) injections given 14 days apart and the second injection of PGF(2alpha) given 12 days prior to the first GnRH of the Ovsynch program) so that a greater proportion of cows during the Ovsynch protocol ovulate to the first GnRH injection and have a CL at PGF(2alpha) injection. Pregnancy rates were normal in anestrous cows (39.6%) if they ovulated to both injections of GnRH. Estradiol cypionate (ECP) can be used to replace GnRH to induce ovulation as a modification of the Presync-Ovsynch program (i.e., Presync-Heatsynch). Pregnancy rates after TI were 37.1+/-5.8% for Presync-Ovsynch compared to 35.1+5.0% for Presync-Heatsynch. Use of ECP to induce ovulation was an alternative to GnRH in which greater uterine tone, ease of insemination and occurrence of estrus, improved acceptance by inseminators. A GnRH agonist (Deslorelin; 750 microg) implant inserted at 48 h after injection of PGF(2alpha), as a component of the Ovsynch protocol, induced ovulation, development of a normal CL and delayed follicular growth until 24 d after implant insertion. Utilization of Deslorelin implants (450 microg and 750 microg) to induce ovulation compared to GnRH (100 microg) within the Ovsynch protocol resulted in 27 d pregnancy rates (GnRH 100 microg, 39%; Deslorelin implants 450 microg, 40% and 750 microg, 27.5%) with 12.7%, 5.0% and 9.5% embryonic losses by 41 d of pregnancy, respectively. Induction of an accessory CL with injection of hCG on day 5 after insemination improved conception rates by 7.1%. Bovine somatotrophin injected at first insemination following a Presync-Ovsynch program in cycling-lactating dairy cows increased 74 days pregnancy rates (57.1%>42.6%).  相似文献
