La morelle jaune a été signalée pour la première fois en Tunisie en 1985, dans la délégation de Sbikha du gouvernorat de Kairouan, véritable carrefour qui relie plusieurs régions du pays. Nos prospections durant la campagne 2004/2005 nous ont permis de constater l’abondance de cette espèce dans cette délégation. Dans les délégations de Chébika, Kairouan Sud et Kairouan Nord elle n’est que localement abondante. Dans le reste du gouvernorat, elle est peu fréquente. Cette plante n’est plus confinée au seul gouvernorat de Kairouan et a été signalée dans d’autres gouvernorats (Sousse, Zaghouan, Sidi Bouzid, etc.). Les biotopes les plus infestés sont les bordures de routes, les terres incultes, les cultures d’été. Ces infestations engendrent des pertes considérables, pouvant amener les maraîchers à abandonner leurs cultures d’été. En 2005, nous avons estimé la superficie envahie par cette plante à 20 000 ha. Pour freiner son extension, nous avons engagé contre elle une action de lutte le long des bordures de routes et dans les décombres. Nous avons utilisé, durant l’été 2005, le glyphosate à la dose de 2000 g/ha au stade baie verte. Les résultats de cette action ont été plus ou moins satisfaisants selon les sites infestés rendent nécessaire la reconduction de cette expérience.  相似文献

Identifying the action of natural selection from patterns of standing genetic variation has long been of interest to the population genetic community. Thanks to the availability of large single‐nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data sets for many species and of high‐throughput SNP genotyping methods, whole‐genomic surveys to detect selective sweeps are now possible. Knowing the ancestral allele increases the power to detect selection. We present here a comparative genomic approach to determine the putative ancestral allele of bovine SNPs deposited in public databases. We analysed 19 551 488 SNPs and identified the putative ancestral allele for 14 339 107 SNPs. Our predicted ancestral alleles were in agreement with ancestral alleles detected by genotyping outgroup species for 97% SNPs from the BovineSNP50 BeadChip. This comparison indicates that our comparative genomic‐based approach to identify putative ancestral alleles is reliable.  相似文献

The Valdostana is a local dual purpose cattle breed developed in Italy. Three populations are recognized within this breed, based on coat colour, production level, morphology and temperament: Valdostana Red Pied (VPR), Valdostana Black Pied (VPN) and Valdostana Chestnut (VCA). Here, we investigated putative genomic regions under selection among these three populations using the Bovine 50K SNP array by combining three different statistical methods based either on allele frequencies (FST) or extended haplotype homozygosity (iHS and Rsb). In total, 8, 5 and 8 chromosomes harbouring 13, 13 and 16 genomic regions potentially under selection were identified by at least two approaches in VPR, VPN and VCA, respectively. Most of these candidate regions were population-specific but we found one common genomic region spanning 2.38 Mb on BTA06 which either overlaps or is located close to runs of homozygosity islands detected in the three populations. This region included inter alia two well-known genes: KDR, a well-established coat colour gene, and CLOCK, which plays a central role in positive regulation of inflammatory response and in the regulation of the mammalian circadian rhythm. The other candidate regions identified harboured genes associated mainly with milk and meat traits as well as genes involved in immune response/inflammation or associated with behavioural traits. This last category of genes was mainly identified in VCA, which is selected for fighting ability. Overall, our results provide, for the first time, a glimpse into regions of the genome targeted by selection in Valdostana cattle. Finally, this study illustrates the relevance of using multiple complementary approaches to identify genomic regions putatively under selection in livestock.  相似文献

Silverleaf nightshade, Solanum elaeagnifolium, is listed as a noxious weed in its native range (Americas) and as an invasive alien plant in many countries across the world. Its local pattern of distribution in the EPPO region indicates that it is still in an establishment phase. S. elaeagnifolium invasiveness could be related to several biological traits: copious production of sexual and asexual propagules, its facility for long‐distance dispersion, its ability to endure considerable drought and to dominate shallow‐rooted vegetation, especially during summer dry periods, and its capacity to suppress more valuable species because it is unpalatable and toxic to cattle. Invasion of the Mediterranean semi‐arid region by S. elaeagnifolium was mainly facilitated by irrigation and animal production. Low moisture stress may favour this invasive species and sheep are an important pathway for its long‐distance dispersal. Once established, it is one of the most difficult weeds to eradicate because of its network of creeping horizontal and deep vertical roots. Its phenotypic plasticity enables it to adopt a rosette‐like growth pattern to escape control by repeated slashing. Thus, S. elaeagnifolium monitoring in the EPPO region is vital in order to contain established populations and prevent invasion.  相似文献

Water scarcity in the Mediterranean basin in addition to the extension of irrigated lands is one of the main factors limiting agricultural development. The need for supplementary irrigation of the Chemlali olive cultivar (Olea europaea L.) during summer and autumn periods was investigated. Leaf water content, gas exchange parameters, fruit development and yield in rain-fed and in irrigated plants have been monitored in 12-year-old olive trees grown under environmental conditions in semi arid regions characterized by high temperatures and high light intensity. Trees were subjected to three irrigation treatments, T0, T1 and T2 corresponding respectively to 0, 33 and 66% of crop evapotranspiration (ETc) by a drip irrigation system. The water deficit during the summer (from June to August) led to the decrease of soil moisture, leaf water content and gas exchange parameters. Irrigated trees showed the same slow activity in the three summer months as the rain-fed trees. For all treatments, net CO2 assimilation, stomatal conductance and transpiration rates were markedly decreased by environmental conditions (high air temperature and high light intensity) during the summer period. At the partial active growth phase of the Chemlali olive cultivar (September–November), a significant re-increase in all parameters was observed. However, net photosynthesis and stomatal conductance of control plants (T0) were, respectively, 57 and 40% lower than those of plants conducted under milder water contribution (T1). The decrease of physiological activity in irrigated plants during hot and dry (summer time) and cold (winter) seasons was a clear evidence that water supply during such periods will be without a great benefit for photosynthetic activity, and thus growth, if applied under critical conditions inducing the rest phase of the plant. The non-statistically significant slight differences as well in photosynthetic performances activities (Pn, Gs and E rates), as in olive production between the two irrigated treatments will not cover the expenses of water loss when applying irrigation at 66% of ETc especially in arid region characterized by scant and irregular rainfall. On the light of these results, we can conclude that the irrigation of this species during the vegetative growth phase (in spring and autumn), and stopping it during the olive rest phase (in summer and winter) could be recommended at least under the experimental conditions of this study; and that the contribution of 600 mm of water per year (33% of ETc) can respond to the needs of the Chemlali olive cultivar in a semi arid region without impairing photosynthetic activity and olive production.  相似文献

Allozyme variation at seven polymorphic loci (GPI, EST, MDH, MPI, DIA, PEP, PGM) was studied to examine genetic variation within and between sheep, cattle and human populations of Echinococcus granulosus in Tunisia. A high degree of genetic similarity was shown between the cysts of the three host origins. Nevertheless, whereas, the ovine and human samples were highly similar, the cattle samples were slightly different genetically. We conclude that humans are mostly infected by parasites originating from sheep liver. The intense deficiency in heterozygotes was partly artefactual (Wahlund effect) and partly due to self-fertilisation.  相似文献

Sandy clay soils locally known as gardud are less arable despite their better production potential than other infertile and exhausted sand soil in western Sudan due to surface physical constraints such as low infiltration and workability. Field experiments were, therefore, conducted on these soils to determine effect of two relatively new tillage systems to the area and two widely practised systems on soil bulk density, porosity, water storage and sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) plant growth and yield. Contour diking at specified spacings was superimposed on the four tillage treatments for impounding surface runoff. These systems were (1) chisel ploughing, (2) broadbed and furrow, (3) ridge-furrow, and (4) traditional no-till (control). Distances of the contour diking were at four levels: zero, 5, 10 and 20 m. Soil bulk density, porosity and water content were significantly affected by the different tillage systems and contour diking. Combined analysis of three successful seasons out of five seasons showed that plant establishment and growth were highly significant. Yield component data (percent of plants reaching physiological maturity, grain and straw) indicated significant differences among treatments tested for the three seasons of the experiment. The 3-year mean grain yield for chisel plowing pooled over the four contour diking distances produced 1448 kg/ha which was greater by 72%, 107% and 384% than broadbed and furrow, ridge-furrow and no-till, respectively. Similarly, the 10-m contour-diking-distance mean grain production (917 kg/ha) over the tillage systems was 16%, 5% and 30% for more than zero, 5-m and 20-m distances, respectively. These results indicate that chisel and 10-m contour diking are appropriate and suitable for gently sloping compacted sandy clay soils of western Sudan, and superior to widely practised ridge-furrow and no-till surface configuration.  相似文献

Candidatus Phytoplasma prunorum was detected for the first time in almond (Prunus dulcis Mill.) cv. ‘Abiod’ in Tunisia. Infected trees showed emergence of new growth during dormancy and leafed out before flowers opened in addition to early defoliation in summer. Phytoplasma was detected by nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using universal phytoplasma primer pairs P1/P7 and F2n/R2. A band with expected size was observed in samples collected from five symptomatic, but not symptomless almond trees. PCR products (1.2 kbp) were used for restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis after digestion with endonucleases RsaI and SspI. RFLP patterns obtained were similar to those reported previously for the European stone fruit yellows (ESFY, 16SrX-B). Identification has been further confirmed by PCR using ESFY specific primer pairs (ECA1/ECA2). This is the first report of Ca. Phytoplasma prunorum infecting almonds in Tunisia.  相似文献

The effects of phosphate processing wastewater (PPWW) on heavy metal accumulation in a Mediterranean soil (Tunisia, North Africa) were investigated. Moreover, the residual toxicities of PPWW-irrigated soils extracts were assessed. Results showed that heavy metal accumulation was significantly higher in PPWW-irrigated soil extracts than in control soil. The heavy metal accumulation increased over time in treated soil samples and their average values followed the following order: Iron (Fe 252.72 mg l?1) > Zinc (Zn 152.95 mg l?1) > Lead (Pb 128.35 mg l?1) > Copper (Cu 116.82 mg l?1) > Cadmium (Cd 58.03 mg l?1). The residual microtoxicity and phytotoxicity of the various treated soil samples extracts were evaluated by monitoring the bioluminescence inhibition (BI %) of Vibrio ficheri and the measurement of the germination indexes (GI %) of Lepidium sativum and Medicago sativa seeds. The results showed an important increase of residual toxicities of PPWW-treated soil extracts over time.  相似文献

Despite the fact that the use of rosemary and thyme residues and essential oils in animal feeding was widely documented, that of myrtle is scarce. To test the hypothesis that myrtle essential oils (MEOs) could improve goats' carcass characteristics and meat quality traits, twenty-one male goats received a ration consisted of 40% oat hay and 60% concentrate. Experimental goat kids received the control diet supplemented with 0, 0.3 and 0.6% of myrtle essential oils (MEOs) for C, Myrt1 and Myrt2 groups respectively. The administration of MEO did not improve the daily DM intake (p > 0.05). Kids of C and Myrt2 groups had higher average daily gain than Myrt1 group (75 versus 55 g). The goats slaughtered at 19.9 kg of weight did not differ (p > 0.05) in carcass weights and carcass yield in terms of commercial dressing percentage (CDP = 41%) and real dressing percentage (RDP = 52%). The administration of MEO increased the meat polyphenol content, being higher in both Myrtle groups (87 versus. 56 μg gallic acid equivalents g-1 fresh matter, p < 0.05). Myrtle EO administration protected kids’ meat against oxidation (0.48 versus. 0.91 mg MDA/kg of meat for Myrtle and C groups, respectively, at the 9th day of storage; p < 0.05). It could be useful to include MEO as a dietary supplement in goats’ rations since it improves meat's oxidative status without negative effects on FA profile.  相似文献
