Organophosphorus pesticide residues in Mexican commercial pasteurized milk   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
A study was conducted to measure residues of 13 organophosphorus (OP) pesticides, widely used as dairy cattle ectoparasiticides or in crops used for animal feed, in homogenized and pasteurized Mexican milk samples. Four different milk brands with high distribution were collected biweekly during a 12 month period (n = 96) in supermarkets. OP pesticide residues were measured by gas chromatography with a flame photometric detector. Approximately 39.6% of the samples contained detectable levels of OP pesticide residues. Eight samples contained residues exceeding established maximum residue limits (MRL), and the OP pesticides present in these samples were dichlorvos (five samples), phorate, chlorpyrifos, and chlorfenvinphos (one sample, respectively). Average residues of 13 OP pesticides measured were below established MRLs ranging between 0.0051 and 0.0203 ppm.  相似文献

A 10-month-old male Pomeranian dog was examined for neurological abnormalities consistent with diffuse forebrain and cerebellar disease. Based on ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) a diagnosis of diverticulum of the third ventricle, partial agenesis of the corpus callosum, and absence of the interthalamic adhesion was made. Fourteen benzohydrazides have been synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro antifungal activity against the phytopathogenic fungus Botrytis cinerea. The best antifungal activity was observed for the N',N'-dibenzylbenzohydrazides 3b-d and for the N-aminoisoindoline-derived benzohydrazide 5. A quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) study has been developed using a topological substructural molecular design (TOPS-MODE) approach to interpret the antifungal activity of these synthetic compounds. The model described 98.3% of the experimental variance, with a standard deviation of 4.02. The influence of an ortho substituent on the conformation of the benzohydrazides was investigated by X-ray crystallography and supported by QSAR study. Several aspects of the structure-activity relationships are discussed in terms of the contribution of different bonds to the antifungal activity, thereby making the relationships between structure and biological activity more transparent.  相似文献

Grenache red wines were produced following three different winemaking techniques, that is, small-scale standard experimental wines and industrial-scale wines by both double-mash fermentation and fermentation in Ganimede vats. Wines were analyzed for their color properties, as well as the anthocyanin, flavonol, hydroxycinnamic acid, and pyranoanthocyanin profiles following alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. The evolution of pyranoanthocyanins and their corresponding precursors in the experimental wines was monitored at 6 and 10 months of aging. Wines produced by double-mash fermentation exhibited superior color properties compared to Ganimede wines and the experimental red wines, due to better extraction of flavonols and anthocyanins as well as a lower degree of polymerization. Pyranoanthocyanin formation varied within the different classes of pigments. Vitisins A and B were formed only during alcoholic fermentation. Pinotin A (i.e., the reaction product from malvidin 3-glucoside and caffeic acid) formation took place only during the aging process, whereas formation of hydroxyphenyl-pyranoanthocyanins derived from p-coumaric and ferulic acid followed two different pathways, that is, an enzymatically assisted production during fermentation and a pure chemical formation during aging.  相似文献

The aim of this study was the detailed characterization of the phenolic composition and the determination of the antioxidant activity of the Bord? grape (Vitis labrusca) cultivated in South Brazil. The edible parts of Bord? grapes (flesh and skin) contained 1130 mg/kg of total phenolic compounds (as gallic acid), mainly located in the skins. Anthocyanin content in the skins was high, largely as 3,5-diglucosides (1359 mg/kg, as malvidin 3,5-diglucoside). Total flavonols accounted for 154 μmol/kg, mainly located in the skins and with myricetin 3-glucoside as the principal flavonol in both grape parts. Very low amounts of flavan-3-ol monomers and dimers and low amounts of polymeric proanthocyanidins, with a composition similar to that reported for V. vinifera grape varieties, were found in Bord? grape skins. Hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives mainly derived from caffeic acid and were found in the skins in high amounts, ten times higher than in the flesh (total amount: 483 μmol/kg). Finally, the Bord? grape cultivar can be considered a high resveratrol producer (10.91 mg/kg) and also exhibited a high value of total antioxidant capacity (37.6 ± 1.0 mmol/kg, as Trolox).  相似文献

Formation of wine pyranoanthocyanins in model wine was monitored by HPLC-DAD-ESI-MS/MS, using red grape skin extracts and wine fermentation metabolites (acetaldehyde, pyruvic and acetoacetic acids, and diacetyl) and also hydroxycinnamic acids (p-coumaric, caffeic, ferulic, and sinapic acids). Pyruvic acid and acetaldehyde reacted fast, the first reaching high product yield and the second inducing mainly pigment polymerization. In contrast, acetoacetic acid and diacetyl reacted slowly with poor product yields. Hydroxycinnamic acids progressively reacted without apparent formation of polymeric pigments, the reaction rate and yield increasing as the number of hydroxy/methoxy groups did. Substituent at C-10 strongly affected the visible maximum absorbance wavelength, whereas B-ring substitution pattern or sugar acylation exerted little effect. The 10-methylpyranoanthocyanins formed from acetoacetic acid were also found as side products in the formation of 10-carboxypyranoanthocyanins. Finally, we report for the first time on UV-vis and MS spectral data of 10-acetylpyranoanthocyanins formed from diacetyl, and their occurrence in commercial red wines is suggested.  相似文献

CO2 is one of the most important gases linked to climate change. However, its ambient concentrations in a clean atmosphere have scarcely been investigated. In this paper a close relationship between CO2 concentrations and meteorological variables was proposed to establish atmospheric conditions linked to high CO2 values. A detailed 3-year campaign was carried out in a rural area with a CO2 continuous analyser and a RASS sodar for meteorological variables. Daily and yearly CO2 cycles were obtained. In addition, semi-hourly medians and quartiles were fitted to straight lines during the night time and daily maxima and minima were parameterised by means of a second order cylindrical model. Six meteorological variables were considered: wind speed, wind direction and temperature at one level and differences between them at two levels. Intervals were proposed from the highest CO2 concentrations during the night to build up a binary system of 64 meteorological classes. Analysis of both CO2 medians and meteorological classes enabled simplification of the system to four groups. The first group, characterised by high temperatures and drainage flow, was associated with detrended median concentrations above 15 ppm. Two groups of moderate concentrations were linked to thermal inversions and no prevailing wind directions. The final group corresponded to low concentrations associated with less than three meteorological variables with values linked to high concentrations. Only high directional shear and low wind speed were relevant in this group. This 4-group system was successfully used with the whole dataset.  相似文献

  • 1 A history of marine research on the Azores is outlined. Until two decades ago most oceanic and littoral marine studies had been carried out by foreign scientists. Studies by Azorean scientists started to increase in the early 1980s when the University of the Azores was created.
  • 2 Ocean circulation in this part of the Atlantic is described as a background for biogeography and diversity. The picture emerges that Azores is a ?meeting point’? for shallow water marine fauna and flora of different origins.
  • 3 The species composition of one of the best studied groups of organisms, the fish, is compared between locations in the northeastern Atlantic. The work on fish is also compared with other well studied groups (algae and hydroids) to highlight the interest of the Azores as a natural biogeographical experiment.
  • 4 Studies of marine resources began less than two decades ago. The development of demersal fisheries is described focusing on the switch from small-scale artisanal fishing to more commercial fisheries.
  • 5 Conservation of species and legislation in force for molluscs, crustaceans, fishes, marine turtles, seabirds and marine mammals are summarized.
  • 6 Protected marine areas already designated are defined, as well as new areas recommended.

There are approximately a dozen species of commercially interesting barnacles worldwide, some of which have been cultured on a semi‐industrial scale. These species are listed and information is provided with regard to geographical distribution, landings and prices. Traditionally, ‘goose’ barnacles (four species) are considered to be the most important for consumption. World production already stands at 500 tonnes year?1, but this species has not been cultured to date. Some ‘acorn’ barnacles are also consumed (seven species), with harvest levels per species that do not exceed 200 tonnes year?1 and selling prices that can reach US$17/kg. ‘Acorn’ barnacle culture on a world scale is still developing. Nevertheless, production has occurred on a semi‐industrial scale; specifically, spat have been collected from the wild and grown in suspended systems. Farming trials have focused on two species of acorn barnacles: Austromegabalanus psittacus (Molina 1782) ‘picoroco’ in Chile and Megabalanus azoricus (Pilsbry 1916) ‘craca’ in Portugal. The large‐scale production of these crustaceans will depend on the optimization of spat collection from the wild and/or the parallel development of mass production technologies for larvae (hatcheries). In addition, further development will be achieved by opening up new markets for commercialization.  相似文献
