利用TDP径流计对福建沿海木麻黄南北方位的边材液流动态进行长期监测,并同步检测空气温湿度、太阳辐射等环境因子,分析南北方位液流速率的相互关系、对蒸腾耗水量测算的影响以及与环境因子的关系。结果显示,木麻黄南北2个方位测得的液流速率存在显著差异和线性相关。木麻黄生长季(5~10月)内单株蒸腾耗水量与日总太阳辐射和昼间平均空气水汽压亏缺的指数饱和曲线拟合效果较好。采用单方位树干液流速率测算的整株蒸腾耗水量与2个方位的测算值相差18.19%。  相似文献

在1.3×10-6到1.0×10-5m3·s-1的流速条件下,测量马尾松的纵向空气渗透系数.在所使用的流速范围内,空气流速与样品两端的空气压强差呈现线形与非线形的关系,其非线形的分量随空气流速或压强差的增大而增强.空气流速或压强差对样品的纵向空气渗透系数有影响,在6个所测量的试样中,5个试样的纵向空气渗透系数最大值与最小值的相对差在3.1%到5.7%之间,而1个试样的相对差则达到了34.2%.根据本文的研究结果,应该使用不同的气体流速(气体压强差)测量木材样品的气体渗透系数,用所测得的这些结果的几何平均值或以流速与压强差为权重的加权平均值作为样品的气体渗透系数,并指明测量气体渗透系数时不同的气体流速或压强差的范围.  相似文献

Abstract

Eighteen sapwood and 18 heartwood samples from three Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) trees were used to identify correlations between the features of their near-infrared spectra (400–2500 nm) measured before and after impregnation with linseed oil (Linogard®) and (1) the amount of oil taken up by the samples at three different longitudinal positions; and (2) the tissue type of sample. Calibration models were cross-validated and oil uptake models were also validated on separate test sets. Partial least squares regression models for the prediction of uptake and tissue type in non-impregnated wood were promisingly accurate, having coefficients of multiple determination (Q 2) values of > 0.8, 0.8 and 0.75 for predictions of tissue type, oil taken up as a percentage of sample mass and total mass of oil taken up, respectively. The models developed for linseed oil-impregnated samples were better still, generating Q 2 values of > 0.9, > 0.8 and 0.8 for the three key properties. In general, models based on spectra acquired along two directions of measurement (longitudinal and tangential) were more accurate than models based on only one. Tandem models consisting of two submodels, one for sapwood and one for heartwood, were more successful than single models applicable to both tissue types.  相似文献

Abstract

Differences in durability between heartwood and sapwood of Norway spruce [Picea abies (L.) Karst.] were investigated to determine wood qualities most favourable for use in outdoor constructions above ground. Trees grown on sites with either good or poor access to water were used. Seventy-eight specimens measuring 20 × 50 × 300?mm3 separated into heartwood and sapwood, half untreated, half painted, were exposed horizontally outdoors above ground for 5.5?years with the pith side up and the bark side down. Crack length and crack number were measured. Fungus growth and surface changes were visually estimated. Fungus type was determined by microscopic analysis. The main finding was that spruce heartwood had fewer and shorter cracks and less surface-discolouring fungus growth than sapwood. This was valid for both painted and untreated wood. After 2?years’ exposure, the cracks in sapwood (upper surface) were more than three times longer and about five times more numerous than in heartwood for both painted and untreated boards. Microscopic study showed that surface discoloration was due mainly to Aureobasidium pullulans, together with a few other discolouring fungi. After 5.5?years, initial decay was established on the surface and in the end grain of four untreated test objects.  相似文献

In eucalypt plantations in subtropical Australia, Eucalyptus dunnii exhibits greater diameter increment after thinning than more shade-tolerant Corymbia citriodora. To elucidate the mechanism underlying this difference, we investigated relationships between tree leaf area and sapwood area following thinning in 11-year-old E. dunnii and C. citriodora plantations. There was no significant difference in specific leaf area (SLA) between thinned and unthinned stands in E. dunnii and C. citriodora, whereas crown zone significantly affected SLA in the two eucalypts. At the whole-tree level non-linear leaf area (Al)–sapwood area (As) relationships were measured in both eucalypts by thinning treatment. A significant increase in Al/As ratio was only observed at the upper crown in thinned E. dunnii. The present results suggested the plastic nature of response of leaf characteristics in both eucalypts grown in different light environments and the species-specific pattern of crown-zone leaf responses to thinning in the two species, i.e. the top of the canopy appears to be driving greater growth response to thinning in the less shade tolerant E. dunnii compared with the more shade-tolerant C. citriodora. It is concluded that different thinning regimes should be applied in shade-tolerant and shade-intolerant eucalypt forests.  相似文献

以广西林业科学研究院老虎岭试验林的28年生红锥单木为研究对象,进行心材变化特征分析,用回归方程对心材与边材关系进行拟合,定量研究心材形成过程中的变化规律。结果表明:红锥心材初始年龄为7.17 a,当树干心材出现之后,心材平均合成速率为0.72轮/a;红锥心材直径生长和断面去皮直径生长拟合的线性关系比采用年轮数效果更好,回归方程为 y =1.0219 x -8.1766,R2=0.978,红锥干材去皮直径为8.00 cm,是心材开始形成的阈值,去皮直径每增加1.00 cm,心材直径增加1.02 cm,心材的圆满度随直径增长呈正相关关系;红锥心材沿树高变化表现为心材形成时间和大小,与树高生长呈相反趋势,心材、边材比例随红锥生长而减弱。  相似文献

Sapwood density and bark thickness of Calophyllum inophyllum L. (a multipurpose durable timber species) were studied in various locations in Northern Australia and in Sri Lanka. Measurements were taken non-destructively by using core sampling and bark gauge. From each provenance, 4-15 mature trees having girth at breast height over bark (GBHOB) at 100-150 cm were selected on the basis of the population size. Significant (p<0.05) hemispheric and provenance variations in bark thickness were found. Variations in the bark thickness are influenced by environmental variables. Variations in sapwood density were less pronounced compared to that of bark thickness. Variations in sapwood density are likely to be governed by genotypic variations.  相似文献

Abstract

This study focused on the amount of sapwood and its variation by means of computed tomographic (CT) imaging. Twenty-four trees were selected from four Norway spruce [Picea abies (L.) Karst.] stands in north-eastern France, varying in age, density and fertility. In each stand, sampled trees represented the dominant, co-dominant and suppressed strata. The heartwood/sapwood boundary was detected from the CT images, and the heartwood and sapwood amount and their variations were then evaluated. At the within-tree level sapwood width was relatively constant along the tree stem above the butt swelling and below the living crown. The between-tree sapwood width variations were partially explained by the total cross-sectional area of living branches. This result opens up the possibility of investigating within-tree allometric relationships. Sapwood width was found to be highly correlated with tree slendemess (tree height/breast height diameter) and with the relative height of the crown. This suggests that sapwood width could be readily predicted from conventional forest inventory measurements. The number of sapwood rings within the stem was largely dependent on cambial age, and could be determined dynamically using the concept of mean lifetime of sapwood rings.  相似文献

Nine seed lots each of Norway spruce (Picea abies L.), and Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) were treated with combinations of the growth regulators: Indole‐3‐acetic acid, indole‐3‐butyric acid, etephone, kinetin, fusicoccin, and the gibberellins A1 A3 A4/7, and A9. GA9 GA4/7 and fusicoccin significantly promoted the germination of five Norway spruce, and three Scots pine, seed batches. Independent of species, the germinability of seeds treated with auxins, etephone, kinetin, GA1 and GA3 were unaffected or reduced. The rate of germination was stimulated for both species when treated with GA9 or GA4/7. The germination percentage for Scots pine seeds was enhanced by GA9 but not by GA4/7. Neither of the two GAs enhanced the germination percentage of Norway spruce seeds.  相似文献
