基于Starwind的iSCSI存储实现

近年来,服务器及存储技术得到了迅猛发展,特别是iSCSI~([1])的应用越来越广泛,数据库系统如SQL Server群集~([2])、Oracle RAC~([3])~([4])等的实现,都依赖于存储设备,但存储设备价格往往比较昂贵,不利于在教学环境或科研环境中去购买。Starwind软件可在主机上模拟出i SCSI存储设备,通过IP网络即可访问该iSCSI存储,提供与真实环境相似的服务,而且配置相对简单,对于教学和实验环境,可大大缩短架设周期和费用。     

NAS、SAN的融合与数字图书馆

随着计算机技术的发展和广泛应用,数据量不断增加从而对网络存储提出了更高的要求,并由此诞生了许多新的网络存储技术,其中较为突出的是NAS和SAN,而NAS和SAN由于各自的优缺点及互补性出现了相互融合的趋势。NAS与SAN融合产生的巨大优势适应并推动了数字图书馆发展。

Voluntary Certification Design Choices Influence Producer Participation,Stakeholder Acceptance,and Environmental Sustainability in Commodity Agriculture Sectors in Tropical Forest Landscapes

Voluntary certification programs are one type of intervention used to incentivize the agricultural commodity sector in tropical landscapes to reduce deforestation and improve sustainability. Cases of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) voluntary certification program in Indonesia and the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN), voluntary certification for cattle in Brazil, are used to contrast the role taken in two significantly different programs to render sustainability outcomes. While producers in both countries follow a similar path toward compliance with certification standards, only the RSPO program offers enticements for producers to participate in the intermediate stages of compliance by offering membership in its affiliated industry roundtable. Design choices about the core activities of a program (adoption, implementation, and enforcement and monitoring) that are ancillary to standards setting are found to be opportunities for providing benefits to both producers and civil society stakeholders without compromising the program’s rigor. A framework is proposed to understand voluntary certification programs as both creators and brokers of benefits between producers and other sustainability stakeholders, potentially providing an approach to simultaneously increase participation and maintain program rigor.

关于数据存储备份的探讨

数字化信息如不注意其数据的存储备份,一旦发生数据丢失、损坏等意外事故,其后果是不堪设想的。为此,简要阐述了数字化信息进行存储备份的基本思想及重要性,并具体讨论关于基于存储区域网络(SAN)的技术在数据存储备份中应用。     

Preparation of SAN/silicate nanocomposites using PMMA as a compatibilizer

Polymer/silicate nanocomposites were prepared via two-step manufacturing process: a master batch preparation and then mixing with matrix polymer. A hybrid of PMMA and Na-MMT with exfoliated structure was first prepared by emulsion polymerization of MMA in the presence of Na-MMT. For the case that SAN24, miscible with PMMA, is used as matrix, we could prepare a nanocomposite with exfoliated structure. However, SAN31 nanocomposite shows the aggregation and/or reordering of the silicate layers due to the immiscibility between SAN31 and PMMA.

Synthesis and acaricidal activity of 4‐pyrimidinyloxy‐ and 4‐pyrimidinylaminoethylphenyl dioxolanes and oxime ethers

Novel types of mitochondrial respiration inhibitors at complex I, with emphasis on acaricidal activity, have been designed and prepared. The synthetic approach to these 4‐pyrimidinylphenyl ethyl ethers and amines with a specific ketal or oxime function in the phenyl side chain is outlined. Bioassays demonstrate their high potential against important spider mites, like Tetranychus urticae and Panonychus ulmi. Structure–activity relationship studies and several biological parameters are discussed. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry
