This study demonstrated that increased dietary protein‐to‐lipid ratio (P/L‐ratio) improved survival of farmed Atlantic salmon naturally affected by pancreas disease (PD). In addition to diet, body weight (BW) and delousing mortality prior to the PD outbreak also contributed significantly (p < 0.05) to explain the observed variation in PD‐associated mortality. Subsequent to the PD outbreak, large amount of fish failed to grow and caused thin fish with poor condition (runts). At the end of the trial, significantly (p < 0.05) lower amounts of runt fish and increased amount of superior graded fish where detected among fish fed increased P/L‐ratio and within the fish with the largest BWs prior to PD. Diet, BW and delousing mortality contributed significantly (p < 0.05) to explain the variation in the amount of superior graded fish, whereas BW and diet explained the variation in the amount of runt fish. A significant (p < 0.01) negative linear relationship was observed between the amount of superior graded fish and the total mortality, whereas a positive linear relationship was detected between percentage of fillets with melanin and the total mortality. Thus, increased dietary P/L‐ratio seem to reduce the mortality and impaired slaughter quality associated with PD.  相似文献

The effects of two plant ingredients (solvent‐extracted soybean meal [SBM] and high‐protein sunflower meal [HPSFM]) and three inclusion levels (0 percent, practical diet containing 25 percent fish meal; 12.5 percent; and 25 percent) of these ingredients were investigated on the growth, feed utilization, gut histology and gene expression in the distal intestine of Arctic charr Salvelinus alpinus (average initial weight, 330.1 ± 8.9 g per fish). Feeding experimental diets for 12 weeks resulted in no difference between HPSFM diets in body weight gain (BWG), thermal‐unit growth coefficient (TGC), feed efficiency (FE), feed intake (FI) or pro‐inflammatory mRNA expression (PIE) with increasing dietary inclusion and between SBM FE, FI and PIE. Differences in quadratic contrasts were observed for nitrogen deposition rate (NDR) and nitrogen retention efficiency (NRE) (p < .05), whereby HPSFM diets elicited the strongest positive response. SBM resulted in linear reduction in BWG, TGC and distal intestine simple fold length and width measurements (p < .05) with stepwise increases in dietary inclusion, whereas dietary HPSFM had no effect. Histological observations of individual villi indicated several symptoms of non‐infectious subacute gastrointestinal enteritis in tanks fed SBM, many of which were not present in tanks fed HPSFM. The dietary HPSFM seems to be more adequate to replace fishmeal in Arctic charr diet than SBM, when fed at a level of up to 25 percent at the grow‐out stage.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was performed to examine the potential of total replacement of fish meal with animal by‐products with or without enzymatic components in juvenile genetically improved farmed tilapia (GIFT) diets, Oreochromis niloticus, (mean initial weight, 19.71 ± 0.28 g), reared in RAS system. Five isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets were formulated with fish meal for the diets with total replacement of the isonitrogenous amounts of enzymatic fish meal (E‐FM), chicken liver meal (CLM), enzymatic chicken liver meal (E‐CLM), dried porcine solubles (DPS) and enzymatic dried porcine solubles (E‐DPS) respectively. The results indicated that the weight gain rate (WGR) and specific growth rate (SGR) in the FM group were significantly higher than the E‐FM and E‐CLM groups (p < .05), but the specific growth rate (SGR) in the E‐CLM group lower than the E‐FM group. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) in FM and CLM was significantly lower than the E‐FM, E‐CLM and E‐DPS groups (p < .05), and no significant difference was observed among the FM, CLM and DPS groups (p > .05). The values of the protein retention efficiency (PRE) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) in FM, CLM and DPS groups were significantly higher than the E‐CLM group (p < .05). The values of feed intake ratio (FIR) in FM and CLM groups were significantly lower than the E‐FM, E‐CLM and E‐DPS groups (p < .05). There was no significant difference in the whole body contents of moisture, crude lipid and crude ash among the FM and E‐CLM groups (p > .05). The whole body contents of crude protein in the FM group were significantly higher than the E‐FM, CLM, E‐CLM DPS and E‐DPS groups (p < .05). The apparent digestibility coefficients (ADC) of dry matter, crude protein and crude lipid in the FM, E‐FM, E‐CLM and E‐DPS groups were not significantly different (p > .05). The serum glucose(GLU), total cholesterol (TCHO) and triglycerides (TG), or the activities of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were not affected by the different treatments (p > .05). There was no significant difference in serum total protein (TP) or albumin (ALB) and between the FM group and other groups (p > .05). There was no significant difference in the serum urea nitrogen (BUN) content in the FM, CLM, E‐CLM and DPS groups (p > .05). Fish fed with the CLM and DPS diets had significantly lower hepatic GHR1, IGF1 and IGF2 gene mRNA expression levels than in fish fed the FM diet (p < .05). The present data showed that 6% of dietary fish meal can be totally replaced by the chicken liver meal and dried porcine solubles with no effect on the growth performance of GIFT strain tilapia.  相似文献

A 65‐day feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary antimicrobial peptide APSH‐07 on the growth performance, anti‐oxidation responses, stress resistance and intestine microbiota of large yellow croaker Larimichthys crocea. Four isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets were formulated with 0, 30, 60 and 90 mg/kg of APSH‐07, respectively. The results showed that the fish fed with 90 mg/kg of dietary APSH‐07 had the significantly highest specific growth rate (p < .05). The activities of catalase, superoxide dismutase, the total anti‐oxidative capacity and lysozyme had the significantly highest values in liver of fish fed with 90 mg/kg of dietary APSH‐07 (p < .05). Serum glucose increased significantly in fish fed diets without APSH‐07 supplementation after temperature stress, while serum cortisol increased significantly in those after trawl stress (p < .05). Fish fed with 90 mg/kg of dietary APSH‐07 showed significantly higher operational taxonomic units, ACE estimator and phylogenetic diversity whole tree in intestine microbiota compared to fish fed without APSH‐07 (p < .05). In conclusion, under the present experimental condition, 90 mg/kg of antimicrobial peptide APSH‐07 supplementation in diet had the better growth performance, higher anti‐oxidation and stress resistance capacity, and a potentially more beneficial intestine microbial community of large yellow croaker.  相似文献

The study amalgamated earthworm and agro‐industrial wastes through vermicomposting and then evaluated the potential of the bedding (mixture of Eisenia fetida and vermicompost) to replace fishmeal in semi‐intensive farming of Oreochromis niloticus. The bedding was used to substitute fishmeal at inclusion rates of 100, 60, 30 and 0% (D100, D60, D30 and control D0). In triplicates, the four homogeneous diets were fed to quadruplicate groups of 30 g O. niloticus for 112 days. There was no significant difference (p > .05) in mortalities, average length gain and FCR among all tests. Nevertheless, diet D0 had significantly (p < .05) superior amino acid profile, low fibre content and fish carcass crude protein (63.2 ± 0.72% dry matter). Subsequently, D30 and D0 produced fish with significantly higher (p < .05) mean weight gain (256.03 ± 0.4 g) and biomass (369,136 g) respectively. On to the contrary, diet D100 had significantly higher (p < .05) crude lipids content (9.4 ± 0.6% dry matter), economic returns and profit index than the control diet due to the comparatively low cost of producing the earthworm bedding. This simple biotechnology can commercially be upscaled to sustainably produce cheap and nutritious fish feed capable of increasing yields and maximizing profits.  相似文献

The dietary folic acid requirement of fingerling Catla catla (3.4 ± 0.17 g; 7.6 ± 0.41 cm) was evaluated by feeding casein–gelatin‐based isonitrogenous (350 g/kg crude protein) and isocaloric (16.72 kJ/g GE) diets containing different concentrations of folic acid (0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 2.0 mg/kg) to triplicate groups to apparent satiation at 08:00, 12:30 and 17:30 hr for 16 weeks. Absolute weight gain (AWG; 40.07 g/fish), specific growth rate (SGR; 2.25%), feed conversion ratio (FCR; 1.53), protein retention efficiency (PRE; 31.42%) and protein gain (PG; 6.74) improved significantly (p < .05) with increasing folic acid levels up to 0.4 mg/kg diet and then reached a plateau. However, maximum liver folic acid concentration increased up to 0.6 mg/kg diet. Dietary folic acid levels also significantly affected (p < .05) body composition of fish. No significant change (p > .05) in haematological parameters except in fish fed folic acid‐free diet was noted. Antioxidant and immune parameters increased with increasing concentration of dietary folic acid up to 0.4 mg/kg diet. Broken‐line regression analysis of AWG, FCR, PRE, PG, HCT and liver folic acid concentrations of fingerling C. catla against dietary folic acid levels indicated optimum growth, FCR, PRE, PG, HCT and liver folic acid saturation ranging between 0.22 and 0.56 mg/kg diet, respectively.  相似文献

The present study investigated the effect of fish meal (FM) replacement with fermented soybean meal (FSM) on growth and feed utilization of rainbow trout. Two FSM products, FSM1 (more fermentation with more small peptide and acid than FSM2) and FSM2 were used to replace 20%, 40% and 60% of FM in control diet (250 g/kg FM), respectively (FSM1‐20, FSM1‐40, FSM1‐60, FSM2‐20, FSM2‐40 and FSM2‐60). Then the seven diets were fed to rainbow trout (18.1 g) for 8 weeks. Weight gain (WG), feed conversion ratio (FCR) and digestibility of crude protein and dry matter showed no significant difference among the groups of FSM1‐20, FSM1‐40, FSM2‐20, FSM2‐40 and the control, but WG significantly decreased and FCR increased when 60% FM was replaced by both FSMs (p < .05). The replacement of 40%, 60% FM resulted in lower villus height than the control (p < .05), and intestinal protease activity was lower in FSM2‐40, FSM2‐60 and FSM1‐60 groups than the control group (p < .05). In addition, the activity of alkaline phosphatase and superoxide dismutase increased with increasing levels of FSM (p < .05). In conclusion, dietary fish meal could be replaced by 40% with both FSMs without adverse effects on growth and feed utilization of rainbow trout based on an eight weeks feeding trial.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of dietary inulin and Jerusalem artichoke (JA) on intestinal microbiota and morphometry of Nile tilapia fingerlings. Five treatment diets were designed to supplement inulin at 0 (basal diet), 2.5 and 5.0 g/kg, and JA at 5.0 and 10.0 g/kg. Nile tilapia larvae were fed experimental diets from the first feeding through the fingerling stage (84 days). The cultivation‐dependent technique showed that dietary inulin at 5.0 g/kg and JA (at both levels) increased lactic acid bacteria and Bifidobacterium spp., but decreased Vibrio spp. (p < .05). PCR‐DGGE targeting 16S ribosomal RNA gene revealed that dietary inulin and JA generated different profiles of microbial community compared with fish fed a basal diet. Compared with fish fed the basal diet, a greater intestinal villi height was observed in fish fed 5.0 g/kg inulin and JA at both levels (p < .05). A larger relative goblet cell number were observed in the anterior intestine of fish fed 5.0 g/kg inulin or JA (p < .05). Overall, dietary inulin (5.0 g/kg) and JA (5 and 10.0 g/kg) since the first feeding had effects on modulating the intestinal microbiota and morphology of Nile tilapia fingerlings.  相似文献

To investigate dietary calcium requirement of red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkia), six semi‐purified diets were formulated to contain different concentrations of calcium (2.7(control group), 6.1, 11.9, 17.6, 23.5 and 29.1 g/kg calcium). Each diet was hand‐fed to triplicate of 15 crayfish with average initial body weight (6.22 ± 0.87) g for 8 weeks. The results showed that weight gain rate (WGR) significantly increased and feed conversion ratio (FCR) significantly decreased from 11.9 to 23.5 g/kg groups (p < .05). Protease activities in intestine and hepatopancreas and parathyroid hormone concentrations in serum significantly decreased with increasing dietary calcium levels (p < .05), while calcium and phosphorus contents in exoskeleton, calcium content in muscle and calcitonin concentrations in serum significantly increased (p < .05). The activities of lipase and amylase in intestine and hepatopancreas, serum alkaline phosphatase and total vitamin D concentrations in serum had significant increase as dietary calcium content increased up to 11.9–17.6 g/kg (p < .05). The inorganic phosphorus content in 29.1 g/kg group was significantly lower than those in other groups (p < .05). Broken‐line model analysis based on WGR and quadratic curve model analysis based on FCR showed that optimal dietary calcium requirement of red swamp crayfish ranged from 12.7 to 17.1 g/kg.  相似文献

This study was conducted to determine the optimal dietary myo‐inositol (MI) requirement of juvenile hybrid sturgeon (Acipenser baerii ♀ × A. schrenckii ♂). Fish with an initial average body weight of 28.28 ± 0.41 g were randomly divided into six groups with three repetitions in each group and fed the experimental diets with different graded MI concentrations (70.2, 130.0, 270.2, 443.0, 1,096.6 and 1997.3 mg/kg) three times per day for 12 weeks. The results showed that with the increase in dietary MI level from 70.2 mg/kg to 443.0 mg/kg, weight gain (WG) was increased significantly (p < .05); however, when the MI level was further increased, there was no significant difference in weight gain rate (WG) over time (p > .05). Specific growth rate (SGR) showed a similar trend. The feed conversion ratio (FCR), survival rate (SR), hepatosomatic index (HSI), viscerasomatic index (VSI) and condition factor (CF) were not affected by dietary MI supplementation (p > .05). Dietary MI did not affect whole‐body and muscle crude protein and ash content (p > .05), while dietary MI significantly affected the muscle and whole‐body crude lipid and moisture content (p < .05). Moreover, serum triglyceride (TG), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels were decreased by increasing dietary MI levels. Total antioxidant capacity (T‐AOC), malonic dialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities in the liver were also affected by the dietary MI (p < .05). In summary, this study indicated that the optimal dietary MI requirement for juvenile hybrid sturgeon (Acipenser baerii ♀ × A. schrenckii ♂) was 335.84 mg/kg and 590.65 mg/kg based on the maximum WG and liver MI accumulation indices respectively.  相似文献

An 8‐week trial was conducted to determine the effects of total replacement of 12.9% fish oil (FO) with soybean oil (SBO), peanut oil (PNO), sunflower seed oil (SFSO), corn oil (CO) and canola oil (CNO) on growth performance, health status and fillet fatty acid composition of hybrid sturgeon (194.28 ± 0.14 g). Compared to the FO group, dietary SBO decreased growth performance (p < .05), increased serum glucose and hepatic lipid content (p < .05). No obvious adverse effects on growth performance and health status were observed in PNO, SFSO and CO groups (p > 0.05). The fish fed with CNO had increased growth performance (p < .05), reduced serum ALT, AST, LDL‐C (p < .05) and enhanced serum GSH‐Px, T‐AOC, and LZM, MPO, C4 (p < .05). The contents of C18:1n9, C18:2n6, and ∑n‐3 PUFA and ∑n‐6 PUFA in fillets showed a positive linear correlation with the diets (p < .05). In summary, PNO, SFSO and CO are probable alternative lipid sources to fully replace FO. Hybrid sturgeon prefers to use CNO as a lipid source with improved growth performance and health status. The fillet fatty acid composition mirrors the dietary fatty acid composition.  相似文献

Swim bladder is an ideal source of collagen production in fish for improved human health. Proline (Pro) is the main proteinogenic amino acid needed for collagen production. However, the effects of Pro supplementation on the swim bladder collagen synthesis have rarely been evaluated in fish. We determined the effects of dietary Pro supplementation on swim bladder collagen synthesis and its possible signalling pathway in spotted drum, Nibea diacanthus. A total of 450 N. diacanthus (100 ± 3.05 g) were randomly assigned into six treatments and fed with diets supplemented with different levels of Pro (0, 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and 12.5 g/kg of dry diet, hereafter P0, P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5, respectively) for 8 weeks. At the end, we evaluated collagen synthesis in swim bladder and the expression of genes related to TGF‐β/Smad pathway in the fish. Dietary Pro levels increased significantly the contents of crude protein, total collagen (TC) and the levels of some amino acids in swim bladder than the control diet (p < .05). The optimum amount of dietary Pro inclusion in diets for swim bladder collagen synthesis in N. diacanthus was 7.6 and 7.5 g/kg based on crude protein and TC in swim bladder, respectively. Dietary Pro levels increased significantly the proline 4‐hydroxylase (P4H) content in fish serum, swim bladder, muscle and liver tissues than control (p < .05). The relative expression of collagen type I alpha 1 (COL1A1), alpha 2 (COL1A2) and mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 2 (Smad2) genes in liver and swim bladder initially increased significantly as the concentration of Pro and later decreased (p < .05). Similarly, the relative expression of transforming growth factor beta (TGF‐β), P4Ha2 and P4Ha3 genes in the swim bladder increased significantly as dietary Pro levels increased (p < .05). Using K‐means clustering analysis, dietary proline partly promoted collagen accumulation in swim bladder through upregulation of Smad2 and TGF‐βRT genes. Taken together, Pro affected the collagen metabolism in swim bladder, probably by regulating the TGF‐β/Smad pathway, most likely via transient overexpression of Smad2 gene.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was conducted to estimate the optimum dietary manganese (Mn) requirement for juvenile hybrid grouper, Epinephelus lanceolatus × E. fuscoguttatus. The basal diet was formulated to contain 520 g/kg crude protein from casein and fishmeal. Manganese methionine was added to the basal diet at 0 (control group), 2.5, 5, 10, 20 and 40 mg Mn/kg diet providing 7.48, 10.34, 13.76, 19.72, 31.00 and 53.91 mg Mn/kg diet, respectively. Each diet was randomly fed to triplicate groups of juveniles, and each tank was stocked with 20 fish (initial weight, 60.06 ± 0.68 g). The manganese content in rearing water was monitored and kept below 0.01 mg/L. Results showed that the weight gain ratio (WGR), protein efficiency ratio (PER), specific growth rate (SGR), Mn contents in whole body, liver and vertebra, and activities of hepatic Mn superoxide dismutase (Mn‐SOD), total SOD (T‐SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH‐PX) were significantly improved by dietary Mn supplementation (< .05). However, dietary Mn did not affect arginase (DArg) activity. The highest feed conversion ratio (FCR) was observed in fish fed the basal diet (< .05). No significant differences were found on the Cu and Zn contents in whole body by supplementing dietary Mn. Supplemented Mn in diets had significantly effect on liver and vertebral trace element deposition (< .05). Fish fed the basal diet had the highest Fe and Zn contents in vertebra (< .05). There were no significant differences on hepatic pyruvate decarboxylase (PDC) activity with supplemented Mn levels below 13.76 mg/kg. As biomarker of oxidative stress, malondialdehyde (MDA) content in liver was significantly higher in fish fed the basal diet (< .05). Using the broken‐line models based on SGR, dietary Mn requirement of the juvenile hybrid grouper was estimated to be 12.70 mg/kg diet.  相似文献

An 8‐week feeding trial was conducted with extruded practical diets containing 320 g/kg of crude protein from plant‐based sources to determine the effects of L‐lysine on growth performances, muscle‐growth‐related gene (myoD, myogenine and myostatin) expression and haemato‐biochemical responses in juvenile genetically improved farmed tilapia (GIFT). Five isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets were formulated to contain graded levels of lysine (14.3, 16, 17.5, 19 and 20.5 g/kg of diet). Each diet was randomly assigned to triplicate groups of 30 juvenile fish (5.2 ± 0.1 g), which were fed thrice a day (9:00, 13:00 and 17:00 hr). Maximum growth performances were observed in fish fed with lysine at 19 g/kg of diet. There was no significant (p > .05) effect on whole‐body composition and amino acids profile by dietary lysine supplementation. Significant (p < .05) changes were observed in relative expression of muscle‐growth‐related genes namely myoD and myogenine and in plasma metabolites by dietary lysine supplementation. In contrast, the relative expression of myostatin was not affected by dietary lysine supplementation. Broken‐line regression analysis and second‐order polynomial regression analysis of weight gain and N gain against dietary lysine levels showed that the dietary lysine requirement for juvenile GIFT tilapia was 18–18.3 g/kg of diet and 19.3–19.5 g/kg of diet, respectively.  相似文献

Dietary protein requirement of juvenile kelp grouper Epinephelus moara was investigated through a feeding trial. Experimental diets with graded crude protein (CP) levels (33.01%, 38.54%, 45.21%, 50.71%, 56.10% and 63.09% of dry matter respectively) were formulated. Six triplicate groups of fish (20 individuals per replicate with initial mean weight 6.00 g) were fed with each diet for 8 weeks. Best growth performance of fish was detected in 56.10% CP diet. The specific growth rate (SGR) significantly elevated with increasing dietary CP level to 50.71%, but there was no significant difference thereafter (p < .05). The feed conversion ratio (FCR) decreased significantly with dietary CP levels from 33.01% to 56.10% (p < .05). Glucose (GLU) and total protein (TP) concentrations in plasma had an increasing trend with dietary protein increasing. In the 33.01% CP group, plasma triglyceride (TG) content was significantly higher (1.67 mmol/L) than that in other dietary treatments (0.65–1.14 mmol/L). The lowest alanine transaminase (ALT) activity was observed in the 56.10% CP group (163.16 U/L). Crude lipid content in the muscle and liver was significantly elevated with increasing dietary protein levels (p < .05). The glycogen content in the liver decreased significantly as CP levels increased (p < .05). The fish fed diet with higher CP level (56.10% and 63.09%) had significantly higher energy retention (ER) and lipid retention (LR) than other treatments. Based on the broken‐line regression analysis of SGR and FCR, the optimal dietary protein requirement for juvenile kelp grouper is 54.61%–56.22%.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to assess the effects of different dietary fibre concentrates (DFC: Mucilage = MG; pectin = PN or β‐glucan+mannan = βg+M), on biochemical parameters, stress and immune response and skin mucus of jundiá (Rhamdia quelen). The fish (7.16 ± 0.06 g) were fed with Control diet (0 g/kg of DFC); diet supplemented with 5 g/kg of commercial prebiotic (CP 5) or diets supplemented with 5 or 10 g/kg of MG; PN or βg+M. After 8 weeks of the feeding trials, biochemical parameters (cholesterol, glucose, albumin and total protein), cortisol, immunoglobulin IgM and mucoproteins of skin mucus were assessed. Results demonstrated that supplementation with PN increased cholesterol levels (p<.05). After application of the stressor, most fish, except those in the PN and 10 g/kg MG groups, showed significant increases (p<.05) in cholesterol, glucose and albumin levels. The jundiás showed no difference in cortisol levels after application of the stressor (p>.05). IgM levels were significantly high in fish supplemented with DFC (p<.05). However, the concentration of mucoproteins in skin mucus was not influenced in the different treatments (p>.05). The results showed that supplementation with DFC promoted beneficial effects on the metabolism of jundiá.  相似文献

To investigate the effect of dietary folic acid on fish flesh quality, muscle antioxidant status and the potential mechanism, young grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) were fed diets containing 0.10–3.12 mg/kg diet of folic acid for 8 weeks. The results showed that optimum folic acid increased muscle contents of protein, lipid, pH, shear force, amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids, hydroxyproline and glutathione, whereas contents of moisture, cooking loss, lactate and saturated fatty acids and cathepsin L activity showed an opposite trend (p < .05). Moreover, optimum folic acid elevated antioxidant enzyme activities and mRNA levels, as well as NF‐E2‐related factor 2 and casein kinase 2 mRNA levels (p < .05). However, optimum folic acid decreased reactive oxygen species (ROS) content and Kelch‐like ECH‐associated protein 1a (Keap1a) and Keap1b mRNA levels (p < .05). Interestingly, excess folic acid induced negative effects on above‐mentioned parameters (p < .05). Summarily, this study indicated that optimum folic acid improved fish flesh quality and muscle antioxidant system associated with Nrf2‐Keap1 pathway. This study investigated the effects of glutamate (Glu) in low‐phosphorus diets on growth performance, haematological indices, antioxidant enzyme activity, immune‐related gene expression and resistance to Aeromonas hydrophila in juvenile mirror carp (Cyprinus carpio) (5.07 ± 0.02 g). Fish were fed either graded levels of Glu (0 g/kg, 5 g/kg,  10 g/kg and 20 g/kg, named G0, G0.5, G1 and G2, respectively) in a low‐phosphorus diet (15 g/kg NaH2PO4, 0.49), or a normal phosphorus diet ( 20 g/kg NaH2PO4, 0.61) without added Glu (C), for 8 weeks. At the end of the feeding trial, the fish were challenged with A. hydrophila. Compared with G0 group, 10 g/kg and 20 g/kg Glu supplementation of the low‐phosphorus diet significantly improved the final weight, WGR, SGR and PER, and decreased FCR (p < .05). Glu supplementation of the low‐phosphorus diet significantly enhanced the T‐AOC, SOD activity and GSH content in intestine (p < .05). Glu supplementation significantly reduced MDA content in foregut and midgut and increased CAT activity in midgut and hindgut (p < .05). Regarding immune‐related gene expression, Glu supplementation significantly diminished the up‐regulation of intestinal TNF‐α, IL‐1β and IL‐8 mRNA levels induced by phosphorus deficiency (p < .05). The survival rate of the G1 group was significantly higher than that of the G0 group (p < .05). In conclusion, 10 g/kg Glu supplementation in low‐phosphorus diets can improve the growth performance, enhance the activity of intestinal antioxidant enzymes and strengthen the immune function of juvenile mirror carp.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of dietary exogenous protease on the growth performance, intestinal health, immune parameters and disease resistance of genetically improved farmed tilapia (GIFT, Oreochromis niloticus). Five test diets with commercial protease at the levels of 0, 1.38, 2.76, 5.52 and 11.04 U/g (named PE0, PE1, PE2, PE5 and PE11, respectively) were administered to triplicate tanks with 30 fish for 60 days, and then, the fish were challenged with Streptococcus agalactiae for 14 days. The results indicated that weight gain increased as exogenous protease increased from 0 to 5.52 U protease/g diet and then decreased significantly (p < .05) with a further increase in exogenous protease supplementation (p < .05). The height of the villi in the proximal intestine and distal intestine, the width of the villi in three segments of the intestine, and the thickness of the muscle layer in the proximal intestine and mid‐intestine (p < .05) were increased in the fish fed the PE5 diet. Immune and antioxidant indices (except malondialdehyde), and survival after challenged with S. agalactiae were higher in fish fed PE5 diets than in those fed other diets (p < .05). In conclusion, 5.52 U/g protease supplementation in a plant‐based diet could promote the growth performance, intestinal physical barrier function, innate immunity and S. agalactiae resistance of GIFT.  相似文献
