Fungicides are applied by air, chemigation, and ground in the Columbia Basin of Oregon and Washington. These methods of fungicide application differ in deposition of fungicide to the canopy and cost. This study compared the alternate use of air and chemigation application of fungicides (AIRCHEM) with chemigation alone (CHEM), by either measuring chlorothalonil or manganese (mancozeb) amounts in three canopy levels (upper, middle, lower), both on leaflets and stems, after multiple fungicide applications on a 7-day schedule. Greater amounts of chlorothalonil or mancozeb were usually found on the leaflets in the upper and middle canopy locations from AIRCHEM compared to CHEM, the day of fungicide application and 7 days later. Deposition of fungicides on stems generally follow the same pattern as leaflets, but the amount deposited and maintained on stems was significantly less than leaflets. Mancozeb deposition in the three canopy levels followed the same pattern as was found for chlorothalonil. The greater the amounts of chlorothalonil on leaflets and stems resulted in better disease reduction during inoculation assays. Reduced fungicide amounts on stems compared to leaflets may be the reason for increased stems infections in recent years by more aggressive strains of late blight. This is the first report quantifying chlorothalonil or mancozeb amounts on potato stems and the first to report amounts of mancozeb on potato foliage after fungicide application.  相似文献

Summary Synergism between fungicides could be used to reduce the application dosage. Synergism between cymoxanil and mancozeb was studied using potted potato plants under field conditions. In three experiments the preventive efficacy of the fungicides and fungicide mixtures in the treatments were studied using a bio-assay. Potato plants were sprayed with the fungicides or fungicide mixtures. Leaves were picked from the potato plants with regular intervals after fungicide application. The efficacy of the fungicides was studied in a bioassay by inoculating the leaves withPhytophthora infestans zoosporangia. The Abbot method was used to show synergistic effects of the cymoxanil/mancozeb mixtures tested. In two of three experiments synergy of the fungicide mixtures was found.  相似文献

马铃薯晚疫病是马铃薯生产中一种普遍发生、危害严重的病害,杀菌剂防治该病仍是生产中采用的主要措施。本试验采用氟吡菌胺和霜霉威、噁霜·锰锌、烯酰吗啉和多菌灵4种农药,从发病初期开始连续进行2次施药防治晚疫病。结果表明,4种杀菌剂均有较好的防治效果,68.75%氟吡菌胺和霜霉威SC 1000倍、64%噁霜·锰锌WP 300倍、50%烯酰吗啉WP 1500倍和50%多菌灵WP 500倍施用2次后,平均防治效果分别为76.8%、70.0%、71.0%和62.0%,前3种杀菌剂的防效明显好于后者。  相似文献

Isolates ofPhytophthora infestans collected in Canada from potato and tomato plants from 1994 to 1998 were tested for their responsein vitro to equal active ingredient concentrations (1, 2.5, and 5 μg a.i/mL) of six commercial fungicides: Acrobat MZ (dimethomorph and mancozeb), Ridomil Gold (metalaxyl-m), Dithane (mancozeb), Curzate (cymoxanil), Bravo (chlorothalonil), and Tattoo C (propamocarb and chlorothalonil). Relative mycelial growth of isolates estimated on fungicideamended vs fungicide-free media was compared among isolates of the US-8 and US-11 genotypes from the two host plants. The effects of these fungicides on spore germination of isolates from the two genotypes were also estimated. Mycelial growth of US-8 and US-11 isolates was most affected by Bravo and Tattoo C, followed by Acrobat, and then Curzate and Dithane. Ridomil Gold was not effective in inhibitingin vitro growth of US-11 isolates at the concentrations tested. Variations in sensitivity to different fungicides among isolates of the same genotype collected in different years were observed. For example, based on 2.5 and 5 μg a.i./mL, potato/US-11 isolates collected from 1995 to 1997 showed increased sensitivity to Curzate and Ridomil Gold, while decreased sensitivity was recorded with Dithane. For US-8 isolates, responses to the fungicides varied according to fungicide and year. Variations were generally not significant for Acrobat, Curzate, Bravo, and Tattoo C over time. Conversely, potato/US-8 isolates from 1995 and 1998 were less sensitive to Dithane and Ridomil Gold than those from 1994, 1996, and 1997.  相似文献

马铃薯晚疫病是马铃薯生产中的重要病害,是影响马铃薯产量和品质的重要因素之一,在云南春作马铃薯上普遍发生,且危害较重,给当地马铃薯产业带来了巨大的经济损失。为减轻马铃薯晚疫病对马铃薯生产造成的损失,试验研究了11种药剂7种药剂组合(包衣剂+保护剂+治疗剂)通过播种期种薯包衣,现蕾期叶面喷施一次保护剂,发病初期和发病中期叶面各喷一次治疗剂的方法防治马铃薯晚疫病。结果表明,药剂组合种薯包衣+甲霜·锰锌+氟吡菌胺·霜霉威的防治效果最好,防治效果达到60.99%,增产率176.28%,增效率152.27%;其次是种薯包衣+霜脲·锰锌+氟吡菌胺·霜霉威组合,防治效果达到60.15%,增产率173.20%,增效率150.55%。这2个药剂组合对马铃薯晚疫病均有极显著的防治效果,增产增效明显。  相似文献

Fungicides applied to potato can enhance green peach aphid,Myzus persicae (Sulzer), outbreaks by interference with entomopathogenic fungi. (Order Entomophthorales). Late season aphid numbers were highest in potatoes sprayed with metalaxyl + mancozeb, captafol, or mancozeb, and lowest in potatoes sprayed with benomyl, triphenyltin hydroxide, chlorothalonil, or copper hydroxide. In field-collected aphids,Pandora (= Ernyia) neoaphidis (Remaudière et Hennebert) andEntomophthora planchoniana Cornu (F. Entomophthtoraceae) were the predominant cause of mycoses, 66.7% and 22.3%, respectively.Conidiobolus obscurus (Hall and Dunn) Remaudièe and Keller (F. Ancylistaceae) accounted for 8.5% of mycoses. In the laboratory, fungicides were shown to have direct effects on these entomopathogens. Metalaxyl + mancozeb, mancozeb and captafol were strongly inhibitory of germination of conidia, copper hydroxide was intermediate, and chlorothalonil had little effect. Triphenyltin hydroxide, benomyl, metalaxyl + mancozeb, and mancozeb were strongly inhibitory of growth of mycelia, copper hydroxide was intermediate, and chlorothalonil and copper hydroxide had least effect. Benomyl was highly toxic to green peach aphid, copper hydroxide and chlorothalonil intermediate, and captafol, mancozeb, and metalaxyl + mancozeb least toxic. Possible interference of potato fungicides with aphid pathogens is now an important consideration because of the intensity of spraying required to protect the crop from infection by metalaxyl-resistant strains of the late blight pathogen,Phytophthora infestans (Mont.) de Bary. Minnesota potato growers reported high green peach pressure in both 1995 and 1996, years of intensive fungicide spraying. Concomitantly, there was a marked increased in the incidence of PLRV in seed lots entered for winter testing.  相似文献

The use of azoxystrobin (Quadris) for early blight control often results in potato vines remaining greener later in the growing season. This observation has lead to the suggestion that nitrogen (N) fertilizer could be applied at lower rates when azoxystrobin is used in a fungicide program since high N rates are sometimes used to help manage early blight. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effectiveness of azoxystrobin for control of early blight under various N fertility management regimes and to determine if azoxystrobin affected plant N fertilizer requirements. Plots were established in 1999 and 2000 at Becker, MN, on a Hubbard loamy sand as a complete factorial, split-plot arrangement using a randomized complete block design with four replications. Fungicide treatments were used as the whole plot factor and included an untreated control, chlorothalonil, and azoxystrobin rotated with chlorothalonil. Fertility treatments were used as the sub-plot factor and included N applied at three levels (170, 250, and 340 kg ha?1) and two timings (all prehilling or pre- and post-hilling). Early blight was problematic in 1999 and both early and late blight were severe in 2000. Significant interactions were observed between fungicide and fertility treatments for disease control. Control of diseases with fungicides was generally more effective at higher N rates regardless of N application timing. When azoxystrobin was used in the fungicide program, N rate was not as critical in managing foliar disease. In 1999, an interaction was not observed between N rate and fungicide treatment for yield. Yields increased with increasing N rate regardless of fungicide program. However, a significant interaction did occur between N rate and fungicide treatment in 2000 where yields decreased linearly in the control with increasing N rate, increased linearly with N rate using chlorothalonil, and did not respond significantly to N rate using azoxystrobin/chlorothalonil. Results of this study indicate that interactions between the incidence of early/late blight disease and N requirement for potato may depend on the rate of vine death and conditions affecting tuber maturity. At equivalent N rates, post-hilling N tended to depress yield regardless of fungicide program, suggesting that under the conditions of this study late season N is not an effective practice for managing foliar diseases such as early or late blight.  相似文献

A total of 134 Czech Pseudoperonospora cubensis isolates originating from Cucumis sativus were used for fungicide resistance screening. Efficacy of six commonly used and registered fungicides was screened in Czech P. cubensis populations. The investigations covered the frequency and occurrence of sensitive, moderately resistant and resistant isolates to the individual fungicides during the period 2005–2010. Fosetyl-Al (Aliette 80 W) and propamocarb (Previcur 607 SL) were the most effective fungicides. All tested isolates were sensitive on all tested fosetyl-Al concentrations. However, some isolates expressed resistance (profuse sporulation) or moderate resistance (limited sporulation) to lower and/or even to recommended concentrations of propamocarb in the years 2006 and 2008–2010. Metalaxyl (Ridomil PLUS 48 WP) and metalaxyl-M (Ridomil Gold MZ 68 WP) were ineffective. Isolates collected in 2008 and 2009 showed large variation in moderate resistance or resistance even at high fungicide dosages. However, this result was not confirmed in 2010, when efficacy of these fungicides increased slightly, and 69% and 43% of isolates were controlled at the recommended concentration of metalaxyl-M and metalaxyl, respectively. Limited or profuse sporulation was observed only sporadically at high concentrations. Sensitivity of isolates to cymoxanil (Curzate K) differed among the studied years. While cymoxanil was ineffective in the years 2005–2008 and in 2010, 68% of isolates were controlled at the recommended concentration in 2009. During the years 2005 through 2010, a shift towards higher sensitivity to dimethomorph was observed at all screened concentrations.  相似文献

Strategies based on using the translaminar fungicide cymoxanil for control of potato late blight, caused by Phytophthora infestans, were compared in the highland tropics of Ecuador in three separate field experiments. In one strategy, a commercial formulation of cymoxanil mixed with mancozeb was sprayed sequentially three times early in the season; this was then followed by three sequential sprays of a commercial product containing mancozeb alone. For the other strategy, the same commercial products were alternated. For each strategy, a spray interval of 14 d was used after the contact/translaminar mixture and 10 d after sprays containing mancozeb alone. Both strategies were evaluated with a manually operated knapsack sprayer but with two levels of application quality. High quality was achieved with a constant pressure valve and a new nozzle, while for low quality, fungicide was applied without a valve and using a damaged nozzle. All treatment combinations gave adequate disease control and no consistent effect of application strategy or application quality could be measured on disease severity or yield. However, approximately twice the volume of fungicide was applied using poor quality equipment, regardless of the application strategy. Advantages and disadvantages of the strategies and their potential effects on fungicide resistance are discussed.  相似文献

试验采用生长速率法测定了双炔酰菌胺、恶酮.霜脲氰、氟菌.霜霉威、烯酰.松脂酮、丙森锌.霜脲氰、代森锰锌6种杀菌剂对马铃薯晚疫病菌的毒力。结果表明,供试6种杀菌剂对马铃薯晚疫病菌丝生长都有良好的抑制效果。双炔酰菌胺的毒力最强,其EC50值为0.029μg/mL,恶酮.霜脲氰、丙森锌.霜脲氰、烯酰.松脂酮、氟菌.霜霉威毒力依次减弱,而代森锰锌毒力最差,其EC50值为5.502μg/mL。根据室内毒力测定结果及药剂特性,供试的6种杀菌剂在田间防治上可视病害的发生情况交替或混合应用,做到科学合理搭配,以避免或延缓抗药性的产生。  相似文献

Alternaria solani Sorauer (Ellis) is a causal agent of early blight of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.). Sensitivity to chlorothalonil, triphenyl tin hydroxide (TPTH), and mancozeb was determined for field isolatesof A. solani in 1998 and 1999. Specifically, the relative sensitivity ofA. solani to foliar fungicides in field populations collected from several commercial fields was evaluated over the course of two growing seasons. Sensitivity to these foliar fungicides was determined with anin vitro spore-germination assay method. The fungicide concentration that inhibited conidial germination by 50% (EC50) was estimated for each isolate. Sensitivity ofA. solani isolates to TPTH and mancozeb varied little during the growing season, possibly because there were few TPTH and mancozeb applications made to the fields studied. At several locations, however, repeated exposure ofA. solani populations to chlorothalonil resulted in considerable variability in sensitivity, frequently causing isolates to have decreased sensitivity to this fungicide at the end of the growing season. In five of seven fields, isolates of A.solani collected at the end of the season were significantly less sensitive to chlorothalonil than isolates collected at the beginning of the season.  相似文献

Uptake and translocation of the fungicide cymoxanil was studied using tomato and potato plants infected with Phytophthora infestans and grape plants infected with Plasmopara viticola. Translocation of cymoxanil was mainly translaminar and acropetal from roots and stems to leaves to an extent similar to that of the phenylamide fungicide oxadixyl. Basipetal translocation from upper to lower leaves, as well as lateral movement, was also observed but to a lesser extent. Plant parts that grew after application were protected against P. infestans and P. viticola because of systemic activity up to 7 days by cymoxanil alone and up to 14 days when cymoxanil was used as part of a three-way mixture with oxadixyl and mancozeb. Drench application of cymoxanil and a simultaneous spray application of mancozeb against P. infestans and P. viticola resulted in a significant synergistic interaction. The spray application of the three-way mixture oxadixyl/mancozeb/cymoxanil was more effective against both sensitive and phenylamide-resistant strains of P. infestans and P. viticola than the individual components alone, representing significant levels of synergistic interactions. Synergy ratios were higher for resistant than for sensitive strains of both pathogens.  相似文献

试脸在田间测定了克露、迭克宁、银法利、瑞凡和中药杀菌剂5种药剂对马铃薯晚疫病的防治效果。结果表明:5种药剂对马铃薯晚疫病均具有明显的防治效果和增产效果,防治效果最好的是银法利,其次为瑞凡、达克宁、克露和中药杀菌剂,增产62%-155%,晚疫病烂薯率为1.20%-8.09%。根据病害发展曲线,病害发展前期使用5种药剂。均可达到显著防治效果。病害发展后期,建议选择银法利和瑞凡药剂。注意每种药剂交替使用,避免产生抗药性。  相似文献

Summary Potato growers have been able to control the fungus,Phytophthora infestans, that causes late blight with fungicides, but at an increasingly higher cost. A Delphi survey was conducted with thirteen experts to estimate the impact of late blight on potato yields, storage losses and fungicide use. It was estimated late-blight fungicides cost $77.1 million and lost revenue for US growers was an additional $210.7 million. These total costs, which average $507 per hectare, do not include non-fungicide control practices.  相似文献

Summary Field experiments between 1996 and 2000 compared the efficacy of fungicide programmes applied in accordance with the NegFry and Met éireann (Mé) decision support systems (DSS) for the control of late blight with 7- and 10-day routine fungicide programmes. The Mé DSS reduced fungicide use by 68% and 54% respectively while NegFry reduced fungicide use by 49% and 27% compared with the 7- and 10-day programmes. The NegFry DSS was similar to the 10-day routine programme in terms of late blight control, quality and marketable yield. A similar result was found when the NegFry DSS was compared with a 7-day routine mancozeb programme (included for two seasons only). Within the NegFry DSS the use of fluazinam resulted in improved yield, foliage blight and tuber blight control compared with mancozeb, but this benefit was significant for tuber blight only. The Mé DSS resulted in inferior disease control, yield and quality.  相似文献

Potato late blight caused by the oomycete Phytophthora infestans is a devastating disease of potato worldwide. Most of the potato cultivars grown in conventional agriculture are susceptible, or at best moderately resistant, and require frequent applications of fungicides to avoid heavy yield losses.In field trials spanning four years, we have investigated the effect of potassium phosphite, an inorganic salt on potato late blight. Potassium phosphite is known to induce defence responses in potato and to also have direct toxic effects on oomycetes, which in turn counteract late blight and tuber blight development. However, the use of this salt is not yet implemented and approved in European potato cultivation. We compared the effect of phosphite alone with fungicides currently used in Swedish potato cultivation. We also investigated the combined use of potassium phosphite and reduced doses of fungicides. Table potato cultivars and starch potato cultivars with different levels of resistance were used.We found that potassium phosphite in combination with reduced doses of fungicides results in the same level of protection as treatments with the recommended full dose of fungicides. These combined treatments reduce the need of traditional fungicides and may also decrease the selection pressure for fungicide resistance development in the pathogen. In relatively resistant starch potato cultivars using phosphite alone gave sufficient protection against late blight. Furthermore, in starch potato a combination of phosphite and fungicides at two-week intervals provided similar protection to weekly applications of fungicide at the recommended dose. Foliar treatment with phosphite also gave protection against tuber blight at similar levels to that of the best-performing fungicide. Our data suggests that potassium phosphite could be used in potato cultivation in temperate regions such as in Sweden, at least in combinations with reduced rates of fungicides. The implementation of the use of phosphite in practical potato crop protection as part of an IPM strategy is discussed. Doses, intervals and combinations could be adjusted to the level of cultivar resistance.  相似文献

Summary Similar amounts of metalaxyl were deposited onto potato leaves on the middle and lower parts of the stem by different tractor-mounted sprayers, but much more was deposited onto apical leaves by an electrostatic sprayer. 通过田间试验调查,研究了7种化学药剂对马铃薯植株和薯块晚疫病的防治效果。结果表明:7种药剂对马铃薯晚疫病均可达到显著防治效果。防治效果最好的4种药剂为25%瑞凡、50%福帅得、0.5%苦参碱和30%甲霜.嘧菌酯,防治效果均达到80%以上;其次为45%三苯乙酸锡和68.75%银法利,防治效果达到70%以上;较差为52.5%抑快净,防治效果达到65%。建议在生产上交替使用,避免产生抗药性。  相似文献

Summary Phenylamide-based fungicides were reintroduced to the Irish market in 1985. Mixtures of phenylamides and mancozeb were recommended for no more than 3 sprays in potato late blight control programmes with the last systemic spray to be applied not later than 31 July. Samples of potato foliage infected withP. infestans were collected from the main potato growing areas in Ireland over a five-year period starting in 1985. Using the floating disc method, 11% of the crops sampled in 1985 were found to have phenylamide-resistant strains ofP. infestans present. The number of crops with resistant strains increased rapidly up to 1988 when 83% of the crops sampled had resistance. Factors affecting the distribution of resistance and the efficacy of a phenylamide-based spray programme are discussed.  相似文献

Three potato cultivars differing in degree of susceptibility to early blight were grown under crop management practices typical for Pennsylvania in 1987 and 1988. There were three experimental treatments: no fungicides, mancozeb with weekly applications initiated at 7 or 8 weeks after planting (early treatment), and weekly applications initiated at first symptoms of disease (late treatment). The no-fungicide control treatment had significantly higher AUDPC values than either treatment with fungicides and the no-fungicide treatment had significantly lower yield in 1987 but not in 1988. Tubers from the no-fungicide control had lower specific gravity. Norchip, the cultivar most susceptible to early blight examined in this study, responded the most in yield increases by the increased fungicide applications.  相似文献
