Conceptualization of Art and Architecture

Western modern and contemporary architecture and art is a conceptual architecture and art, change in human concept promotes the development of modern and contemporary architecture and art, presents us a new look. Evolvement of concept is the core force that pushes forward the unceasing development of art and architecture, art and architecture as concept always influence and interact with each other and create a new dimension. Both architects and artists try to express their opinions using the individualized works and practices in the context of changing values in social transformation, which has become the significance of contemporary architectural design and artistic creation.

乡村休闲旅游是当今倍受人们青睐的一种休闲方式。和合思想是中国传统文化的精髓。从和合学的角度出发,解析了乡村休闲旅游的内涵,认为乡村是体现"天人和合"的典型地理空间,乡村休闲是人们实现自我和合的最佳选择,乡村休闲旅游是促进社会和合的新动力、新模式和新途径;以鹿鸣岭景区为例,对和合思想在乡村休闲旅游目的地规划中的运用进行了实践尝试,认为将中华和合文化与乡村休闲旅游目的地规划紧密结合,不仅有利于中华和合文化的研究与传播,而且对中国旅游业的发展也将具有长远积极的意义。     

Application of Classical Garden Design in Landscaping of West Sichuan Plain

Taking"Lotus Garden Residential Area"in Dayi County,Chengdu City,on the west Sichuan Plain for example,the signifi cance of combining ecological technologies and landscape design was elaborated,and the means of controlling urban fl ood and waterlogging were explored from the perspective of the basic unit of urban construction,the residential area,so as to offer a new sustainable thought for the environment design of future residential areas.     

The “Hyperreality” Utopia: Analysis of the Landscape Architecture of Disneyland from a Semiotic Perspective

Modern society has become a society of the spectacle that centers on production and consumption of visual signs. The sign is no longer in its natural state but gets involved in the society of the spectacle with massive reproduction and representation. Literature review and semiotic principles were applied to summarize the landscape architecture of Disneyland. This study proposed the following three arguments by correlating Baudrillard's concept "hyperreality" with the landscape architecture of Disneyland: the disappearance of history in landscape architecture, simulacra reproduction in landscape architecture and the consumerism tendency in landscape architecture. The analysis of Disneyland's landscape architecture from a semiotic perspective will be a more profound examination of landscape architecture.     

Speculation about Recombination of Vernacular Dwellings in the Contemporary Regional Architecture

Application of local elements in contemporary architectural creation is a process of keeping pace with the times. This paper analyzed several creations of contemporary regional architecture, and discussed the effective approach of achieving the co-existence between tradition and modernity in architectural designs. Against the background of current social cultural development, interpretation of regional architectural culture was reviewed from three perspectives of traditional construction vocabularies, specific regional problems, local cultural artistic ambience. This paper tries to further understand reconstruction of vernacular dwellings, speculate the marginalized regional architectural creation in the fast-developing and "explosive" construction movements.     

Philosophy of Science and the Chinese Contemporary Architectural Forms

Philosophy of science led by Popper is one of the most important contemporary scientific and philosophic theories.In addition to the science,the philosophy of science impacted contemporary social science mostly,of which the false-feasibility,circumstantial logic,anti-historical determinism and anti-scientism influenced the orientation of contemporary architecture.Just with these factors of philosophy of science,this thesis reanalyzed and reviewed Chinese contemporary architectural forms,especially the tradition inheritance.     

Main Frame of Contemporary Integrated Manufacture System

Based on the success of CIM philosophy applied in manufacturing industries for reference, the author, analyses the character of modern furniture's produce and management, etc., and set out from real need of modern furniture manufacture to establish the architecture of contemporary integrated furniture manufacture system. The key technologies such as methods and viewpoints of contemporary integrated furniture manufacture system are discussed. Finally, the stream of material is reviewed as core and ERP, FEC is included in contemporary integrated furniture manufacture system based on web distributed database is put forward. The work is a helpful investigation to CIMS and gives a beneficial idea to implement CIMS in furniture industry.     

Poetic and Pictorial Splendor-Expression of Traditional Chinese Literati in Chinese Architecture

The expression of traditional Chinese literati is based on connection, seeking emotion and harmony. With various forms, though, this style of expression shares the same value in some art forms, like traditional Chinese poetry, calligraphy and paintings, and Chinese architecture. Based on the commonalities of various forms of literature and art, this paper offered an insight into Chinese architecture in light of poetic and pictorial expression of traditional Chinese literati. In order to illuminate the corresponding connection between traditional Chinese poetry, calligraphy and paintings, and Chinese architecture, this paper discussed the expression of Chinese architecture corresponding to the essence of traditional Chinese poetry, calligraphy and paintings respectively from the perspective of philosophy, aesthetics, and culture study of Chinese architecture. Via analogous analysis, which includes the analogy between the emotion of architecture and the feelings in traditional poetry, the analogy between the order of architecture and the spirit of calligraphy, and the analogy between the artistic conception and the picturesque scene, the poetic and pictorial expression of Chinese architecture was clarified. This paper emphasized that Chinese architecture needs to jump out of the concrete image, eradicate the interdisciplinary boundaries, and stress the integration of arts and humanities in a higher level, to express Chinese architecture in a Chinese way. That means making Chinese architecture modern in forms and techniques, and traditional in spirit and artistic conception.     

Meaning in Architecture and Landscape Architecture: Enhancement of Contemporary Design Practices Based on the Review of Postmodernism and Surrealism Aesthetic Philosophies

The study explored surrealist aesthetic philosophies in relation with referential postmodern architecture,and landscape architecture,to communicate meaning with the audience.These philosophies provide lessons about the potential of the built environment to address the emotional and psychological needs of the public,that is,to address the vital social,ecological,and functional needs of modern society.According to this,the purpose of the study was two-fold.The first is to analyze the visual techniques and forms that are used in referential postmodern architecture and landscape architecture in relation with surrealist aesthetic philosophies,to communicate meaning with the audience.Second is to demonstrate the relevance of these visual theories,to enhance contemporary design practices.The study emphasized the potential of art forms that provide meaning to address the physiological and spiritual needs of the society.Hence,it re-established landscape architecture as an art form capable of enriching human psychological and spiritual well-being,which is opposed to the conservative utilitarian natures of the field.

Recreation of Agricultural Landscape for Children with Nature-deficit Disorder

Promoting human health is a basic value of landscape architecture. It is theoretically feasible to rebuild the link between children with nature-deficit disorder and nature via artificially-made natural environment. This paper explored the relationship between children's health and nature from the perspective of landscape architecture theories and practices. First, impact of nature-deficit disorder on children's health; second, basic appeals of children with nature-deficit disorder were sorted out; finally, specialized gardens for children with nature-deficit disorder under the instruction of the above theories were designed.     

Theories and Methods of Landscape Architecture Heritage Protection

This paper firstly made an overview of foreign and domestic theories and methods of landscape architecture heritage protection.It studied the landscape architecture heritage from policies and regulations,investment management,talent cultivation,and popular science education.Then,it discussed problems of landscape architecture heritage protection in China:lack of legislation,weak awareness of heritage resources,overdevelopment of heritage resources,and vacancy in management and monitoring of heritage resources.Finally,it came up with recommendations that competent authorities of Chinese government should attach greater importance to heritage management,talent cultivation,and fund input,integrate with advanced management methods of developed countries,and exploring a landscape architecture heritage protection and management mode suitable for national conditions of China at levels of thought,methods,and technology.     

重庆农村新型股份合作社发育动因研究——基于重庆500户农户和100位基层干部的调查数据

为了探索出适合城乡统筹区域的新农村股份合作社,基于重庆市12个县(市、区)的500户农户和100位基层干部的随机抽样调查数据,从制度经济学的角度研究重庆农村新型股份合作社的发育动因。结果表明:(1)农业经济效益低下,城乡居民收入差距大是合作社制度创新的根本原因;(2)作为农业的最直接生产和经营者的农户,认为通过组建或参与农村新型股份合作社,能够给他们带来较高的并且稳定的收益,因此农户便很容易地自愿组成一个个的初级行动团体,共同追逐更多的外部利润;(3)样本区大多数基层干部认为农村新型股份合作社是促进资源整合、提升农业产业化经营水平、加快新农村建设的有效途径。由此可见,无论是初级行动团体还是次级行动团体都对农村新型股份合作社表现出积极的参与意愿,农村新型股份合作社这种制度创新必将发生。     

The Construction Strategy of Small Towns Based on Ecological Concept

Based on the perspective of ecological concept,this study first interpreted the background of ecological civilization construction,and combed the relationship between ecological concept and small town planning.Second,it expounded the ecological problems of natural resources,economic development,landscape system,social humanities and other aspects in the construction of contemporary small towns.According to the study,the construction of small towns based on the ecological concept should establish the concept of "ecology first",practice "multiple compliance",coordinate the relationship with other planning,make reasonable planning and design in the aspects of town scale,functional orientation,structural form,road traffic,landscape style and features,humanistic characteristics,and strengthen the implementation,supervision and management of planning.Finally,summary and outlook was made,hoping that the study will be of reference value and guidance to the planning and construction of small towns.     

"Renaissance Ideology" and Chinese Traditional Architectural Culture

Owing to the special geographic environment and chronic historical accumulation,the Chinese nation has formed the national character mainly based on "renaissance ideology",which has exerted a profound influence on the forming and development of Chinese traditional architecture.By discussing the spatial pattern characteristics of country,cities,courtyards and geomantic omen,the authors indicate their common feature-enclosure,and summarize the spatial pattern of Chinese traditional architecture influenced by "renaissance ideology"-layer upon layer enclosure by bringing the spatial patterns of different layers into a unified framework.At the same time,the construction activity is extended to social culture so as to find out the correlation between the spatial pattern of Chinese traditional architecture and national character.     

The Architecture Design Based on the Landscape Conditions: Taking the Architectural Design of Subsidence Area for Example

The relationship between architecture and people, architecture and city, architecture and nature has always been the soul of architectural design. In the architectural design, study on the relationship between architecture and nature needs "site analysis"(mapping), and "natural environment" tends to affect the design results[1]. In many special areas, the design needs analysis of geology, geomorphology, hydrology, vegetation and other landscape elements. Coal mining subsidence area is the product of the conf licts between human activities and natural environment in the process of industrialization. As the research object, coal mining subsidence area can be a good study object to demonstrate architectural design strategies and methods based on landscape, and fi eld defects of the site may be the origin of architectural space organization: architectural concept, structure, morphology, spatial organization are all from the landscape elements.     

Making Public Space in High-density Environment: Strategy and Methodology of Landscape Urbanism

High concentration of population and other elements brought by high urbanization has pushed the future construction of urban public spaces to be both "compact" and "ecological". Theory and methodology of landscape urbanism provides a new perspective for the construction of public spaces in high-density urban environment. Based on the concept and basic standpoints of landscape urbanism, this paper elaborated its potential value in spatial connection, functional integration and vitality promotion, and also analyzed practical strategies of landscape urbanism from three perspectives of structure, fold and stage by combining with typical cases, so as to provide references for designing urban public spaces in high-density environment.     

Research on Ecological Space Planning Oriented Urban River Landscape Planning

Based on the generalized landscape perspective, regional connotation of urban river landscape is expanded. The area connotation of urban river landscape is expanded based on the generalized landscape perspective. In addition to natural and functional attributes, river landscape should be regarded as a regional space element based on heterogeneous space scale. First, as for research method system, the space research models(including ecological footprint, space planning, and landscape pattern index, etc.) coupled with different angle scales and interdisciplinary theory, are utilized to study different correlations and results formed by urban river landscape elements and other regional space elements from the perspective of the regional ecological space, and the overall development goal of the urban river landscape pattern based on the goals of the regional ecological space planning is obtained. Second, the oriented urban river landscape planning and the "M" type close-tonature design strategy are evaluated through the city function zoning orientation and micro-scale urban river landscape pattern index. The research realizes the compatibility of overall goals in terms of the regional ecology, the development of urban functional areas, and the river landscape planning, without losing micro difference and maneuverability based on the urban river landscape planning and design oriented strategy, which innovates the new approach of urban river landscape planning and design with sustainable and balanced development of regional resources, multi-scale, and multiple objectives.     

Architecture and Geomantic Thought: Site Selection and Geomantic Thought in the Design of the Tomb of Former Chairman Yang Shangkun

During the long history of architectural development,ancient Chinese architects applied the geomantic philosophy to architectural design.Geomantic philosophy is of great value to modern architectural design.in order to make the geomantic thought popular in modern architectural design,traditional geomantic culture was embodied very well in the design and site-selection of the tomb of Yang Shangkun,former President of P.R.China.The idea of geomancy in the tomb design also provides a rich and valuable experience for modern architectural design.The tomb is an example of inherited Chinese traditional culture and application of ancient thought to contemporary uses.     

New Perspective of Architectural Design Based on Immersive Theatre Thinking: A Case Study of Rural Living Room Design in Majia Marsh

The new urbanization provides opportunities for the ecological protection of traditional regional culture. In the context of the integrated development of agriculture, tourism, and cultural industries, this paper integrates the thinking of "immersive theatre" and adopts the design method of multithread dramatic narrative mode to create a number of interactive flow lines in the architecture and focus on the sensory experiences of environment, enabling the traditional regional culture to really touch the audience.
