Five Canadian oat genotypes were grown at six environments in Manitoba to assess the effects of genotype, environment, and genotype‐by‐environment interaction on oat starch properties and end‐product quality. Genotypic variation was significant for total starch, amylose content, starch swelling volume (SSV), Rapid Visco Analyser (RVA) pasting viscosities, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermal properties, and starch gel texture as well as the quality of flakes and cooked oatmeal made by laboratory‐scale methodologies. Environment was the dominant factor contributing to the total variation of starch content, RVA pasting viscosities, SSV, and DSC thermal properties. Most measurements of starch gel and oatmeal texture were not affected by growing environment. Cross‐over analysis revealed that changes in the ranking of genotypes across environments occurred for starch RVA hot paste, breakdown and shear thinning viscosities, work of gel compression, flake hydration capacity, and the proportion of large flakes, indicating that breeding for these traits would require multiple testing sites. Trends were observed between oatmeal texture and several flake and starch gel properties, warranting further study. Results of this study indicated that there is a potential to breed Canadian oat cultivars with improved functional end‐product quality for use in the milling and food manufacturing industries.  相似文献

Sweet potato cultivars respond differently to elevated tropospheric ozone concentrations of ca. 130 mug m (-3), 8 h a day for 4 weeks, which affects their selection for cultivation. In the first cultivar presented here, an adequate leafy vegetable supplier, the ozone load resulted in a shift of biomass to maintain the canopy at the expense of tuber development. Starch content of leaves was reduced, indicating an impairment of quality, but carotenoid content remained stable. The second cultivar may be grown for tuber production. Although the ratio tuber/plant remained stable under ozone, tuber yield and its starch content were significantly reduced. The lower starch content indicated a worse quality for certain industrial processing, but it is desirable for chip production. Elevated tropospheric ozone concentrations also influenced free amino acids and macronutrient contents of tubers, but these modifications were of minor significance for tuber quality in the second cultivar.  相似文献

The effects of cultivar, growing location, and year on physicochemical and cooking characteristics of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris ) were investigated, and the relationship between these characteristics was determined. Twenty dry bean cultivars and breeding lines were grown at two different locations for two consecutive years (2013 and 2014) in southern Manitoba, Canada. Results indicated that cultivar, growing location, and year had significant effects on seed weight, water hydration capacity, and cooking time of beans. Significant cultivar, location, and year variations in protein, starch, and phytic acid contents in beans were observed. Most of the traits were also significantly affected by the interactions of cultivar × location, cultivar × year, and location × year. Seed weight was negatively correlated with crude protein and ash contents but positively correlated with starch content. Cooking time was negatively correlated with protein, ash, and phytic acid contents but positively correlated with firmness. Phytic acid content in beans was positively correlated with ash content. Knowledge gained from this study will be useful to bean breeders in selecting parental lines for crossing and cultivar development in efforts to improve the quality of beans.  相似文献

Potato production from true seed, or true potato seed (TPS) is not a new system for this vegetatively propagated crop. Andean farmers have grown potatoes in the cool highlands from true seed for many centuries. TPS appears today as a promising technology in the warm tropics, where diseases impede the production of pathogen-free potato propagules. However, the identification of suitable genetic resources for potato seed production requires the selection of clones that lack antagonism between tuber growth and seed embryo development. Furthermore, the potential TPS parents need to possess characteristics of a sexually propagated crop that is grown for the harvest of its vegetative part, i.e., the tuber. This new process of domestication requires a change in the selection methods, which starts by assessing the potential of available potato clones for both reproductive characteristics and agronomic traits, particularly those of the tuber. Tetraploid landraces and cultivars of the pathogen-tested collection of the Centro Internacional de la Papa were assessed for reproductive and agronomic characteristics during three consecutive years in San Ramón, a Peruvian location in the warm lowland tropics. The clones showed significant variation for all characteristics recorded. The Shannon–Weaver diversity index (H) was highest for flowering duration (0.617) and intensity (0.600). The lowest H was calculated for bee attraction in this location. The overall H was not significantly affected by the year-to-year variation, but some of the characteristics recorded (e.g. flowers per inflorescence, anther type, style length, plus fruit and berry set) showed distinct H according to the year of assessment. Some of the cultivars with promising TPS traits, as determined by their reproductive characteristics, also had outstanding tuber set, weight and yield. Furthermore, hybrid offspring from the selected clones from the pathogen-tested elite sample, did show high tuber yield with appropriate tuber set and reproductive traits as shown by progeny testing. Hence, the approach followed for identifying parental sources as discussed in this article appears to be appropriate.  相似文献

Starch content of potato tubers in relation to K nutrition and tuber growth In a pot experiment with potato (cv Saturna) K content in tubers increased from 1.0 to 2.6 % of tuber-DM due to increasing rates of K fertilizer. Simultaneously starch in tuber fresh matter decreased from 21 to 15 %. Highest starch content in tuber dry matter was obtained in that K treatment which gave the highest yield in dry tubers. Measuring starch accumulation during tuber growth revealed that already in the flowering stage differences exist in the starch contents of the tuber dry matter between the lowest and highest K treatments, namely 69 % for K1 as compared with 64 % for K5. The rate of starch accumulation between flowering and final harvest, however, was similar in all K treatments. This suggests that K supply affects the storage tissue at an early stage of tuber development probably via different water relations of tubers.  相似文献

【目的】分析马铃薯品种(系)产量和品质在不同栽培条件下与养分吸收及利用的关系,为马铃薯科学施肥提供理论基础。【方法】在宁夏固原和甘肃定西开展马铃薯品种(系)田间试验,宁夏收集了76份品种(系),甘肃收集了83份,马铃薯试验均采用当地水肥管理技术。成熟期测定产量及产量构成因素,取样分析马铃薯品质和氮磷钾养分含量,以及土壤有机质和速效养分含量。【结果】两地马铃薯块茎产量差异不显著。将马铃薯产量分为<30 t/hm2 (低)、30~45 t/hm2 (中)和>45 t/hm2 (高) 3个等级,宁夏种植的76个品种(系)中低产、中产、高产的占比分别为27.6%、34.2%、38.2%,甘肃种植的83个品种(系)中的占比分别为15.7%、49.4%、34.9%。随着不同马铃薯品种(系)产量的不断增加,干物质和淀粉含量呈现增加趋势,而蛋白质含量则呈现降低趋势。无论产量水平高低,每生产1 t马铃薯块茎需吸收N 2.9 kg、P 0.5 kg、K 4.0 kg。产量与氮磷钾养分吸收量呈显著正相关,维生素C和蛋白质含量与氮磷...  相似文献

马铃薯的丰产性、适应性和稳定性是马铃薯推广和应用的重要指标,各种环境因子对不同性状的作用有差异,需要在不同的生态区进行品种(系)的筛选与鉴定。为了筛选出广适、高产、稳产和适宜机械化作业的马铃薯品种(系),本研究通过GGE双标图对马铃薯高代品系和国内主栽品种的产量和植株性状进行分析,同时阐述基因型与环境互作效应对产量性状和植株性状的影响。前期选育的22份高代品系和13份国内主栽品种分别于2020和2021年种植在渭源县、安定区和永昌县三个试点。测量主茎数等8个植株性状和小区产量等9个产量性状,应用联合方差分析进行显著性水平分析,GGE双标图进行适应性、丰产性和稳定性分析以及试点的区分力和代表性评价。应用联合方差分析结果表明,自然株高、绝对株高的基因型效应显著,基因型效应平方和占总变异平方和比为66.63%、56.56%;花序梗长、单株大薯产量的基因型与环境互作效应显著,互作效应平方和占总变异平方和比为27.86%、27.05%;分支数、单株产量的环境效应显著,环境效应平方和占总变异平方和比为55.82%、25.52%。GGE分析结果表明,品种(系)在不同的年份间,产量和稳定性表现总体较为...  相似文献

甘薯淀粉产量及相关性状的遗传多样性和关联度分析   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
甘薯[Ipomoea batatas(L.)Lam.]是加工淀粉和燃料乙醇的重要原料,是目前我国最具开发前景的非粮食类新型能源作物。选育高淀粉产量的能源型甘薯新品种是甘薯育种的重要目标。为了获得准确筛选高淀粉产量育种材料的性状指标,提高甘薯高淀粉产量育种效率,缩短育种周期,本研究利用不同甘薯品种(系)的自然变异,根据淀粉产量、不同生长发育阶段的5个主要农艺性状和3个淀粉合成关键酶活性测定结果,利用相似系数和遗传距离矩阵,以类平均法对国内48份不同淀粉产量甘薯种质资源进行了遗传多样性分析,通过关联度分析研究了淀粉产量与不同时期农艺性状、淀粉合成关键酶活性的相关性。结果表明:48份甘薯种质资源材料在不同时期农艺特征差异较大;不同时期农艺性状的聚类结果中,栽后100 d的农艺性状与淀粉产量关联度最大,淀粉产量与该时期的基部分枝数呈极显著负相关(r=0.428),与干率呈极显著正相关(r=0.423),而与最长蔓长、单株结薯数和单株鲜薯重相关性不显著。48份甘薯种质材料在不同时期的酶活聚类结果差异明显。不同时期的甘薯淀粉合成关键酶活性聚类结果中,栽后50 d酶活聚类与淀粉产量聚类结果关联度最大,淀粉产量与该时期测得的ADPG焦磷酸化酶(ADPG-PPase)活性呈负相关关系(r=0.163),与蔗糖合成酶(SS)活性(r=0.101)、蔗糖磷酸合成酶(SPS)活性(r=0.016)呈正相关,但相关性均未达到显著水平。加之淀粉合成关键酶活性测定步骤繁琐,不适宜作为甘薯高淀粉产量育种早期选择的生理指标。在高淀粉产量育种材料筛选时可于栽后100 d对农艺性状进行综合考察,重点考虑干率较高及分枝数较少的品系。本研究可为甘薯高淀粉产量育种提供一定的理论依据。  相似文献

为了评价高淀粉马铃薯品种的综合品质性状,本研究以甘肃省农业科学院育成的15个马铃薯品种(系)为参试材料,2011-2018年连续8年定点田间试验,测定了块茎产量、营养品质(干物质、淀粉、维生素C、粗蛋白)含量和矿物质元素(钾、钙、铁、锌)含量。结果表明,参试材料的块茎产量和营养品质含量均存在显著的基因型、环境及基因型与环境的互作效应,其中块茎产量、淀粉产量、干物质含量、淀粉含量性状的基因型效应大于环境效应,而营养品质中的维生素C、粗蛋白和还原糖含量的环境效应大于基因型效应。参试材料的块茎产量24 549~50 140 kg·hm-2,淀粉产量4 271~9 298 kg·hm-2,干物质含量21.07%~30.18%,淀粉含量14.63%~21.83%,维生素C含量12.20~18.95 mg·100g-1,粗蛋白含量2.17%~2.71%,还原糖含量0.18%~0.43%,钾含量4 316~5 368 mg·kg-1,钙含量85.10~138.40 mg·kg-1,铁含量10.17~24.50 mg·kg-1,锌含量2.45~3.80 mg·kg-1。大西洋的衍生品种陇薯8号、陇薯9号、陇薯12号、陇薯14号、L0527-2、L08104-12、LZ111和L1149-2淀粉含量均超过18%,其中,L1149-2总体表现优异,其平均块茎产量50 140 kg·hm-2、淀粉产量9 298 kg·hm-2、干物质含量26.75%、淀粉含量19.30%、维生素C含量14.62 mg·100g-1、粗蛋白含量2.52%、还原糖含量0.28%、钾含量5 297 mg·kg-1、钙含量138.40 mg·kg-1、铁含量20.40 mg·kg-1、锌含量3.20 mg·kg-1;而陇薯5号淀粉产量及营养品质较差。本研究为合理利用陇薯系列高淀粉马铃薯品种提供了科学依据,对改良高淀粉马铃薯品种产量和品质具有指导意义。  相似文献

Micronutrient deficiencies in diets, including iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn), are an important public health problem across population in Ethiopia. Potato is a modest source of dietary nutrients. The purpose of this study was to assess the mineral (Fe & Zn) composition of potato germplasm in Ethiopia and grower's willingness to try new potato types. The Fe and Zn contents were assessed in peeled tubers of popular farmer varieties, and newly introduced Andean diploid group Phureja accessions and improved tetraploid clones grown in multi-location trials. Grower's preferences for the new potato types was assessed using a participatory approach. Significant variations in mineral and tuber yield traits exist among the germplasm assessed and broad-sense heritability appears to be high for most traits measured, suggesting that progress through breeding can be made among these materials. However, the slightly negative correlation of tuber yield with Fe and Zn content and user appreciation traits found in this study suggests that progress in improving crops for yield and enhanced Fe and Zn concentrations with end-user acceptable quality will be challenging. The results from this study provide baseline information on Fe and Zn composition of many popular farmer varieties in Ethiopia and end-user preference criteria for evaluating new potato varieties that would help to orient the biofortification breeding to the conditions and preference of farmers.  相似文献

Interspecific somatic hybrids produced by protoplast fusion between two wild Solanum species (S. acaule, acl; S. brevidens, brd) and cultivated potato Solanum tuberosum (tbr) were analyzed in terms of the starch nanometer-range structure and glycoalkaloid (GA) contents. The crystallinity of starch granules, the average size of starch crystallites, and the lamellar distances were obtained from tuber samples using wide-angle and small-angle X-ray scattering methods. These measurements showed that incorporation of wild genomes from either nontuberous (brd) or tuberous (acl) Solanum species caused no significant modifications of the nanostructure of potato starch. In contrast, the GA profiles of the hybrids, which were analyzed by LC-ESI-MS in both tuber and foliage samples, differed considerably from those of cultivated potato. Regardless of the low total tuber GA concentrations (approximately 9 mg/100 g of fresh weight), the somatic hybrids contained GAs not detected in the parental species. A high proportion of spirotype GAs consisting of 5,6-dihydrogenated aglycons, for example, alpha-tomatine and tomatidine bound with solatriose, and chacotriose were found in the hybrids. In conclusion, the foliage of interspecific hybrids contained a higher variation in the structures of GAs than did the tubers.  相似文献

为了建立马铃薯块茎在土薯分离机构和振动筛上发生碰撞时的碰撞模型,该文基于质点对固定面的碰撞动力学理论在自制测定装置上对马铃薯块茎碰撞恢复系数进行了试验测定。对块茎碰撞恢复系数的主要影响因素碰撞材料、下落高度、块茎质量、含水率、跌落方向和马铃薯品种等进行了混合正交试验和单因素试验。混合正交试验结果表明,各因素对马铃薯块茎碰撞恢复系数的影响顺序为:碰撞材料、下落高度、块茎质量、含水率、跌落方向和马铃薯品种,其中碰撞材料、下落高度、块茎质量和含水率影响较为显著。单因素试验结果表明,马铃薯与65Mn钢、橡胶、马铃薯和土块间块茎碰撞恢复系数依次减小,其中新大坪的值分别为0.791 2、0.710 5、0.663 2、0.525 3,陇薯7号的值分别为0.762 7、0.695 2、0.690 4、0.563 1;马铃薯块茎碰撞恢复系数随着下落高度、块茎质量和含水率的增加而减小,回归方程决定系数均大于0.9。研究结果可为马铃薯收获机挖掘及土薯分离装置关键部件的优化设计提供参考。  相似文献

Anthocyanins gain more and more importance as natural colourants. Besides many other plant species, coloured potatoes could serve as a potential source. Therefore, 27 potato cultivars and four breeding clones of different origin were analysed for their anthocyanin contents in fresh weight (fw). On average the highest amounts of anthocyanins were found in the skin (0.65 g kg−1 fw) of potatoes. The corresponding values of samples taken from whole tubers (0.31 kg−1 fw) and flesh (0.22 kg−1 fw) were significantly lower (p<0.03). The analysis revealed considerable differences in the amounts of anthocyanins between the 31 cultivars/breeding clones. Among them ȁ8Peru Purpleȁ9 revealed the highest anthocyanin content in the skin with 2.96 g kg−1 fw. A similar high value was reached by ȁ8Violettfleischigeȁ9 and clone 1.81.202–92 N. Also for the other two types of samples, flesh and whole tubers, these three genotypes exhibited the highest level of anthocyanins. Interestingly, different rates of nitrogen fertilization at 100 and 200 kg ha−1 had no significant effect on the pigment content of potatoes. The same was observed with respect to the year or the location of plant growth. There were also no significant changes in the anthocyanin contents of tubers during storage for 135 days. In dry matter, starch and protein contents the coloured potato cultivars/breeding clones were comparable with traditional cultivars. Further tests have shown that the glycoalkaloids were mainly localized in the skin of coloured potatoes.  相似文献

The objective of the study was to determine the effect of herbicides and biostimulants on the potato tuber content of nitrates. The experimental material consisted of tubers harvested in a field experiment which examined the following factors: three medium early potato cultivars (Bartek, Gawin, Honorata) and five methods of herbicide and biostimulant application (Harrier 295 ZC (linuron?+?chlomazon), Sencor 70 WG (metribuzin), growth regulator Kelpak SL (algae extract from Ecklonia maxima ? auxins and gibberellins), growth regulator Asahi SL (sodium para-nitrophenol, sodium ortho-nitrophenol, sodium 5-nitroguaiacol) and a control unit where weeds were mechanically controlled). The tuber content of nitrates was determined in fresh matter with an ion-selective nitrate electrode and silver–silver chloride reference electrode. Herbicides and biostimulants increased the potato tuber content of nitrates compared with control tubers. However, they did not pose a threat to consumer health. Tubers of plants sprayed with the herbicide Sencor 70 WG (metribuzin) and the biostimulant Asahi SL (sodium para-nitrophenol, sodium ortho-nitrophenol, sodium 5-nitroguaiacol) contained the most nitrates whose accumulation was also affected by cultivars and weather conditions in the study years.  相似文献

In the Japanese warm areas, as a result of intensive and repeated potato cropping, common scab, a soil-borne disease has become a serious problem. The soil moisture level has been shown to be an important factor affecting the incidence of common scab. That is, a high level of soil moisture reduces the severity of common scab. However, in this investigation, although during the spring cropping precipitation was abundant, a large number of tubers showing scab lesions were produced. The results indicate that the soil moisture level may not be an important factor affecting the incidence of potato scab in the humid region.

To identify other factors which may affect scab severity, the relation between sugar content in the peel of potato tuber and the incidence of common scab was investigated. Generally, the amount of reducing sugar in the tuber peel increased gradually with the growth of the tubers, then reached a maximum level two weeks after the start of tuber formation, and thereafter declined. The period corresponding to the highest sugar content in peels coincided with the most susceptible period for scab infection. The content of reducing sugar in the peel of susceptible cultivars was higher than that of the resistant cultivars, throughout the tuber growth, and the critical value of the content was 2.0 mg per 100 g fresh peel. These results suggest that the content of reducing sugar in tuber peel may be an important factor affecting the incidence of common scab.  相似文献

利用MS培养液研究了不同浓度氯化钙对马铃薯试管薯的产量、 质量、 薯内钙含量及生理病害的影响。结果表明,MS培养液中不添加钙时,试管薯的结薯数量、 薯重及大薯率大幅度降低,没有>100 mg 的试管薯,薯表面出现明显的黄褐色粗糙斑块,个别薯块现水浸状腐烂,腐烂率2.21%。薯内干物质、 淀粉、 可溶性糖和蛋白质含量也较正常钙用量下分别降低了36.8%、 41.39%、 10.7%.和.39.43%,丙二醛含量上升。4℃下贮藏6个月,薯皮失水皱缩严重,平均病害率达53.77%;室温下放置3周,发芽率25.53%,芽生长缓慢;MS 培养液中添加不同浓度的氯化钙,茎段结薯数和薯重随钙浓度的增加呈先增加后降低的变化趋势,大薯率和薯皮表面光泽度呈上升趋势,与正常钙水平相比,薯重增加了2.7%~47.86%、 结薯数增加了-11.49%~22.64%、 大薯率14.43%~26.08%。薯内干物质、 淀粉、 可溶性糖和蛋白质含量的变化均随钙浓度的增加呈先上升后下降的趋势,并较正常钙用量下增加了4.43%~8.62%(干物质)、 6.79%~16.49%(淀粉)、 3.89%~6.31%(可溶性糖)和 4.63%~8.29%(蛋白质)。薯内钙含量大幅度上升,平均值为177~267 g/g(最高值为9 mmol/L处理),薯皮光滑无水浸状腐烂。4℃下贮藏6个月,薯皮正常,生理病害率随薯内钙含量升高呈下降趋势,病害率为1%~8.9%,决定系数R2=0.3812,且试管薯芽的萌发和生长能力正常。确定MS培养液中添加 9 mmol/L CaCl2是新大坪品种试管薯数量和质量的最优处理。  相似文献

Sweetpotato (Ipomoea batatas L. (Lam)) is a nutritious food security crop for most tropical households, but its utilisation is very low in Ghana compared to the other root and tuber crops due to lack of end-user-preferred cultivars. Knowledge on the genetic control of important traits such as dry matter, starch and sugar content of sweetpotato storage roots in a breeding population is critical for making breeding progress in developing sweetpotato varieties preferred by farmers and consumers. This study used diallel mating design to elucidate general combining ability and specific combining ability, to determine the gene action controlling storage root dry matter, starch and sugar content in sweetpotato and the heterotic potential of the traits to facilitate the crop’s improvement for increased utilisation. A general model for estimating genetic effects, GEAN II, was used to analyse the data. Genetic variability was seen for dry matter, starch and sugar content of sweetpotato and much of this genetic variation was additive in nature. The study also revealed significant heterosis in sweetpotato which offers opportunity for breeding non-sweet, high dry matter sweetpotato varieties that are preferred by farmers and consumers in Ghana.  相似文献

Understanding attributes of crop varieties and food raw materials underlying desirable characteristics is a significant challenge. Metabolomics technology based on flow infusion electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (FIE-MS) has been used to investigate the chemical composition of potato cultivars associated with quality traits in harvested tubers. Through the combination of metabolite fingerprinting with random forest data modeling, a subset of metabolome signals explanatory of compositional differences between individual genotypes were ranked for importance. Interpretative analysis of highlighted signals based on ranking behavior, intensity correlations, and mathematical relationships of ion masses correctly predicted metabolites associated with flavor and pigmentation traits in potato tubers. GC-MS profiling was used to further validate proposed compositional differences. The potential for the development of a database strategy for large scale, long-term projects requiring comparison of chemical composition in plant breeding, mutant population analysis in functional genomics experiments, or food raw material analysis is described.  相似文献
