The experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of oral administration of probiotic Halomonas sp. B12 (previously isolated from the intestine of Fenneropenaeus chinensis) on the intestinal microflora, immunological parameters, and midgut histological structure of F. chinensis. Shrimp (initial weight: 4.00 ± 0.10 g) were fed diets containing Halomonas sp. B12 at 0 (control), 3.68 × 107 (T1), and 7.18 × 1010 (T2) colony‐forming units per gram for 6 wk, respectively. The results showed that the total bacterial counts significantly increased (P < 0.05) with supplementation of dietary probiotic B12. However, Vibrio spp. counts significantly decreased (P < 0.05) in the intestine of shrimp with increasing dietary probiotic B12. Hemocyte counts in the shrimp fed the diets supplemented with probiotic B12 were significantly higher (P < 0.05) than the control group. Both phenoloxidase (PO) activity in plasma and hemocyte lysate supernatant were higher in the shrimp fed diets supplemented with probiotic B12 compared with the control group. No significant difference was found in PO activity in plasma between the T1 and the control (P > 0.05). PO activity in plasma was higher in T2 than that in T1. Cumulative shrimp mortality after 10‐d white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) challenge test significantly decreased with increasing dietary probiotic B12 (P < 0.05). No significant difference was found between T1 and control in cumulative shrimp mortality after challenge test (P > 0.05). The oral administration of probiotic B12 to F. chinensis was beneficial to protect the integrity of shrimp intestinal mucosal layer. In summary, even though the low dose (T1) had some effects on bacterial counts and immunological parameters, only the high dose (T2) significantly increased the resistance of the shrimp to WSSV.  相似文献

The fish pathogen Aeromonas hydrophila causes gastrointestinal tract infections and hemorrhagic septicemia and represents a widespread risk in aquaculture. This study aimed to determine whether compound probiotics could improve the intestinal barrier, immunity, and meat quality of common carp infected by A. hydrophila by feeding them compound probiotics. Carp were assigned to one of four groups: (1) control (no infection, no probiotics); (2) control?+?probiotic; (3) A. hydrophila infected; and (4) the A. hydrophila?+?probiotic group. At the beginning of the experiment, the carp were injected with either saline (0.86%) or A. hydrophila (4.87?×?107 CFU/mL). After 2 weeks of the feeding regime, results suggested that in A. hydrophila infected carp, dietary probiotics regulated the intestinal microflora as evidenced by a reduced abundance of Proteobacteria and increased amounts of Firmicutes and Fusobacteria in the intestine. In addition, dietary probiotics ameliorated both villus swelling and the decrease in villus height induced by A. hydrophila (P?<?0.05). Moreover, probiotics prevented the A. hydrophila-induced decline of Occludin, Claudin-1, and ZO-1 levels in the intestine (P?<?0.05). The addition of probiotics into the feed also increased acid phosphatase (ACP), alkaline phosphatase (AKP), and lysozyme (LZM) activity in the serum (P?<?0.05), in comparison to the A. hydrophila group. Importantly, when compared to A. hydrophila-infected carp, compound probiotics alleviated the decrease in muscle nutrient quality (P?<?0.05). In summary, we show that dietary compound probiotics can prevent the impact of A. hydrophila infection on the intestinal function and disease resistance, while ensuring carp muscle quality.

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of Bacillus preparations on immunity and antioxidant activities in grass carp. A total of 315 grass carp, with similar initial weight (average weight of fish 45?g), were randomly divided into three groups with three replicates. The control group was fed the basal diet without Bacillus; treatment group 1 was added Bacillus preparation no. 1 with 1?×?108?cfu/m3 per 7?days in culture water and also fed the basal diet; treatment group 2 was fed the basal diet mixed with 0.5?% Bacillus preparation no. 2, and the culture water was added 1?×?108?cfu/m3 Bacillus preparation no. 1 per 7?days. After 4?weeks of culture, 12 grass carp from each replicate were taken randomly for the determination of immune response and oxidization resistance indices. The results showed that compared with control, the level of globulin and IgM of treatment group 2 was significantly increased (P?<?0.05), which was also significantly higher (P?<?0.05) than that of group 1. For the non-specific immunity index, compared with control, the lysozyme activity and complement (C3) content of treatment group 1 significantly increased (P?<?0.05), and the level of myeloperoxidase and C3 of treatment group 2 was significantly higher (P?<?0.05) than that of control, which was also significantly higher (P?<?0.05) than that of group 1. In the serum, compared with the control, the level of total antioxidant activity (T-AOC), antisuperoxide anion free radical (ASAFR) and glutathione (GSH) of two treatment groups was significantly increased (P?<?0.05); GSH content of treatment group 2 was significantly (P?<?0.05) higher than that of treatment group 1 and control. There was no significant difference between T-AOC and ASAFR among the two treatment groups; no significant effect was found on glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and maleic dialdehyde (MDA) among the three groups. In the liver, T-AOC, SOD, ASAFR, GSH-Px and GSH from two treatment groups were significantly higher (P?<?0.05) than those of control; T-AOC, SOD and catalase from treatment group 2 were significantly higher (P?<?0.05) than those of treatment group 1; and MDA of two treatment groups was significantly decreased (P?<?0.05) as compared with the control. The results indicate that Bacillus preparations added into water can increase serum immunoglobulin levels and most of non-specific immune parameters content and enhance the antioxidant ability of grass carp, while adding Bacillus preparation into the water and feed is much better.  相似文献

A feeding trial was conducted for 40 days to delineate the effect of treatment with probiotics as water additives on tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) growth performance and immune response. About 360 juveniles were randomly distributed into four treatment groups, each with three replicates. Different probiotics (T-1, Bacillus subtilis B10; T-2, Bacillus coagulans B16; T-3, Rhodopseudomonas palustris G06) were added to the water of tanks at final concentration of 1 × 107 cfu ml?1 every 2 days, with no probiotic added to control tanks. At the end of the feeding trial, fish treated with B. coagulans B16 (T-2) and R. palustris G06 (T-3) had significantly (P < 0.05) higher final weight, daily weight gain, and specific growth rate compared with those treated with B. subtilis B10 (T-1) and those without probiotics (control). The highest (P < 0.05) content of total serum protein was found in T-2 compared with that in T-1, T-3, and the control. However, albumin concentration and albumin/globulin ratio were not affected by the probiotics treatments. Compared with the control, probiotic supplementation remarkably improved activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase (P < 0.05). T-2 fish exhibited higher average myeloperoxidase activity than the control, T-1, and T-3 groups. Regarding serum lysozyme content in tilapia, assays showed no difference (P > 0.05) among the treatment groups. Furthermore, probiotics treatments remarkably increased respiratory burst activity compared with control, with T-2 showing higher values than T-1 and T-3. This indicated that treatment with probiotics, B. coagulans B16 and R. palustris G06, as water additives could be used to enhance immune and health status, thereby improving growth performance of O. niloticus.  相似文献

The present research evaluated the effects of three probiotics on the growth performance and intestinal digestive enzyme activity in fingerlings of grass carp, Ctenopharyngodon idella. Three treatments (T‐1, T‐2 and T‐3) were fed with diets containing different viable bacteria with a final concentration 106 CFU g?1 feed (Bacillus coagulans, Rhodopseudomonas palustris and Lactobacillus acidophilus, respectively) and the control was fed with basal diet without probiotics. All the diets supplemented with probiotics resulted in better (P < 0.05) final weight, daily weight gain and relative gain rate than control but no significant differences were observed among the treatment groups. The highest protease activity was observed in T‐1. However, T‐2 and T‐3 showed no difference (P > 0.05) in protease and cellulase activities compared with the control. The protease activity was higher in the foreintestine than in the hindintestine (P < 0.05), and the reverse was observed in cellulase activity. As for amylase activity, there was no difference between foreintestine and hindintestine. In conclusion, the three selected probiotics increased the growth performance of grass carp fingerlings. Furthermore, different digestive enzyme activity was observed in different intestine segment.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to study probiotics treatment in the post‐larval diet of Macrobrachium rosenbergii. Three hundred postlarvae (average weight, 114–118 mg±0.11) were divided in five experimental groups each with four replicates. The experiment was conducted for 60 days. Experimental diets were identical in all the aspects except for variation in the probiotics strain. T1 and T2 groups were fed Lactobacillus acidophilus (140×1011 CFU 100 g?1) and L. sporogenes (24×107 CFU 100 g?1) respectively. The T3 group was fed L. sporogenes bioencapsulated in Artemia nauplii. T4 was the control group (without probiotic) whereas T5 was fed Artemia along with control diet. The bacteriological study indicated that the gut microflora of postlarvae are devoid of lactic acid bacteria. The probiotic strains were found to have inhibitory effects against the gram‐negative bacterial flora present in the gut. Growth of the probiotic fed groups was significantly higher (P<0.05) than the control group. Significantly higher growth (P<0.05), per cent weight gain (132.5%), specific growth rate (1.41%), feed efficiency ratio (FER) (0.45), protein efficiency ratio (1.29) and protein gain (161.6%) were recorded in T3 group fed Artemia bioencapsulated L. sporogenes over the control group (P<0.05). Although insignificant (P>0.05), growth‐promoting effects of L. sporogenes were found to be higher than L. acidophillus. Survival of the postlarvae was not affected by probiotics in the diet.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of Enterococcus faecalis on digestive enzyme activities and short‐chain fatty acid production in fish intestine, resistance against Aeromonas hydrophila and humoral immunity response by 3 experiments on Javanes carp (Puntius gonionotus). The experiment 1 revealed that diet supplemented with E. faecalis significantly (P < 0.05) increased protease and lipase activities compared to control fed fish. Moreover, E. faecalis supplementation significantly enhanced the production of propionic and butyric acid in the intestine, while no significant difference (P > 0.05) in acetic acid production was observed. In the challenge study (experiment 2), fish were injected (intraperitoneal) with 107 A. hydrophila per ml and survival was significantly improved when fish were fed diet supplemented with E. faecalis compared to control fish. In experiment 3, dietary E. faecalis affected immune system response as fish fed the probiont and exposed to 106 A. hydrophila per ml displayed significantly elevated antibody levels compared to control fed fish. Fish fed diet supplemented with E. faecalis but not exposed to the pathogen revealed significantly higher antibody level than control fish (P < 0.05). Therefore, E. faecalis can be used as a probiotic in Javanese carp farming.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of dietary mono‐ and multiprobiotic strains of Enterococcus faecalis, Lactobacillus fermentum and Leuconostoc mesenteroides on growth performance, intestinal bacteria and body composition of Javanese carp (Puntius gonionotus). Moreover, the effect of storage temperature on lactic acid bacteria (LAB) viability in the feed was studied. Compared to the control group, significant (< 0.05) effect on weight gain, feed conversion ratio, specific growth rate and protein efficiency ratio of probiotic fed Javanese carp was observed. Inclusion of individual LAB strains in the diet resulted in significantly improved growth performances of Javanese carps compared to fish fed a diet supplemented LAB mixture. The inclusion level of E. faecalis at 107 colony‐forming unit (cfu) g−1 in the diet revealed higher growth performance compared to other treatments. The population levels of LAB in the fish intestine were significantly increased while the levels of Gram‐negative bacteria were significantly decreased compared to the control. No significant variations were observed in the chemical composition of the carcass by probiotics. The viability of LAB in feed was higher when stored at 4 °C compared to 25 °C. It is suggested that E. faecalis has a greater potential for use in improving Javanese carp culture outcomes.  相似文献

To evaluate the possible dietary application of live and heat‐inactivated probiotic Bacillus pumilus SE5 in grouper Epinephelus coioides, juveniles (14.6 ± 0.2 g) were fed either a basal control diet (without probiotic) or the basal diet supplemented with 1.0 × 108 CFU g?1 live (T1) and heat‐inactivated B. pumilus SE5 (T2). The heat‐inactivated probiotic significantly improved the final weight, weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) at day 60 and significantly decreased the feed conversion ratio (FCR) at day 30 and 60, while the viable probiotic significantly decreased the FCR at day 60 (< 0.05). Phagocytic activity, serum complement C3 and IgM levels as well as SOD activity elevated significantly in fish fed the heat‐inactivated probiotic for 60 days (< 0.05). Furthermore, the heat‐inactivated probiotic remarkably up‐regulated expression of TLR2 and pro‐inflammatory cytokines (IL‐8 and IL‐1β) in head kidney (< 0.05), but the viable probiotic failed to do so. These results indicated that heat‐inactivated B. pumilus SE5 can effectively improve the growth performance and immune responses of E. coioides.  相似文献

In this study, Bacillus natto NT was evaluated for use as a probiotic supplement in the feeds on the growth performance and the growth‐related genes' and microRNAs' (miRNAs) expression in the skeletal muscle of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). Grass carps (ave. wt. 43.96 ± 0.27 g) were fed diets supplemented with 1.87 × 109 (Bn1), 3.73 × 109 (Bn2), 5.60 × 109 (Bn3), 7.47 × 109 (Bn4) and 9.33 × 109 (Bn5) B. natto NT cells per 100 g feed for 56 days. The control group (BnC) was not supplemented with the B. natto NT. The fish of Bn3, Bn4 and Bn5 groups displayed better growth performance and lower feed conversion ratio (FCR) than the other groups (< 0.05). Compared with the fish of BnC group, miR‐1a, miR‐181a, miR‐23a and miR‐206 expressions increased (< 0.05), and the myostatin and myocyte enhancer factor C (MEF2C) mRNAs were down‐regulated (< 0.05) in the fish of Bn4 and Bn5 groups. The specific growth rate analysis and apparent expressional regulation of the growth‐related miRNAs and genes stimulated by Bnatto suggest the potential application of Bnatto in improving the growth performance on the grass carps.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation of a probiotic bacterium, Bacillus subtilis, on the growth, immune response and antioxidant activities of shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). Shrimps with an average initial weight of 2.11±0.17 g were randomly assigned to four groups with three replicates. The control group was fed a basal diet, and three treated groups were fed diets supplemented with B. subtilis at doses of 1 × 104, 5 × 104 and 10 × 104 colony‐forming unit (CFU) g?1 feed respectively. After 40 days of culture, 10 shrimps from each replicate were taken randomly for the determination of immune response and oxidization resistance indices. The results showed that the shrimps fed with B. subtilis at a dose of 1 × 104, 5 × 104 CFU g?1 feed showed significantly better growth than that of the control diet. The phenoloxidase activities showed a tendency to increase with an increased dose of B. subtilis in diets but there was no significant difference among the three treated groups. In addition, phenoloxidase activities were found to be significantly higher (P<0.05) in the groups treated with B. subtilis than that of the control group. Shrimps treated with 5 × 104 CFU g?1 feed probiotic bacterium showed the highest lysozyme activity and it was significantly higher (P<0.05) than the other groups. However, there was no significant difference in acid phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase activity across all the groups. The total antioxidant capacity, superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities in the probiotic‐treated groups were significantly increased (P<0.05) as compared with the control groups. Both maleic dialdehyde concentration and superoxide anion activities in the probiotic‐treated groups were significantly lower (P<0.05) than those of the control. The probiotic did not affect the nitric oxide synthase and the catalase activity in any of the control and treated groups. These results indicated that the probiotic B. subtilis could significantly promote the growth rate of shrimp by increasing the immune function and antioxidant capacity. The most effective dose of B. subtilis in the diet was 5 × 104 CFU g?1 feed.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to compare rice straw mat and kanchi (bamboo sticks) as substrates in periphyton‐based polyculture systems. The experiment had three treatments: (a) no substrate (control), (b) rice straw as a substrate (3 × 2.7 kg pond?1) and (c) kanchi as a substrate (390 kanchi pond?1). Fingerlings (n=40) of rohu, Labeo rohita (24.5±0.5 g); mrigal, Cirrhinus mrigala (25.1±0.6 g); catla, Catla catla (25.8±0.5 g); common carp, Cyprinus carpio (27.6±0.6 g), and silver carp, Hypophthalmichthys molitrix (30.4±0.9 g) were stocked at a 3:2:2:2:1 ratio and cultured for 90 days. There were no differences in the number of plankton, periphyton and macro‐zoobenthos among the treatments. The total plate count of bacteria was higher in the rice straw treatment (41 320 million cfu m?2) than that in the kanchi treatment (11 780 million cfu m?2). Growth and the final mean weight of rohu, catla and common carp were higher in the substrate treatments than those in the control. Rice straw and kanchi treatment, respectively, resulted in 38% and 47% higher combined total weight gain over control. Gross margin analysis showed that rice straw treatment resulted in more profit than the control and kanchi treatment. Therefore, rice straw has the potential to be used to increase production in the low‐input rural aquaculture.  相似文献

Effects of Bacillus cereus BC‐01, Lactobacillus acidophilus LAG01, Clostridium butyricum CBG01 and their combinations as supplementation on the growth performance, digestive enzyme activities and serum non‐specific immunity of hybrid grouper (Epinephelus lanceolatus ♂×E. fuscoguttatus ♀) were assessed. Seven different diets, that is one control diet (basal feed without any probiotics, CT) and six treatment diets containing single B. cereus (Bs), L. acidophilus (Ls) and C. butyricum (Cs) at 1.0 × 10cfu/kg feed, and also their combinations in equal proportion at 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 × 109 cfu/kg feed (BLC1, BLC2 and BLC3) were prepared respectively. After 60‐day feeding trial, the final weight, specific growth rate, food consumption, food conversion efficiency and apparent digestibility coefficient of fish in Ls and BLC3 were significantly higher compared with the control (< .05). The activities of pepsin and trypsin in the intestine of fish for Ls and BLC3 were significantly higher relative to the control (< .05). Relative to controls, significantly enhanced amylase and lipase activities in proximal intestine except for Cs and BLC1 and lipase activities in distal intestine except for Cs were observed (< .05). Meanwhile, activities of superoxide dismutase in the serum of fish for all treatments, lysozyme and catalase in Ls and BLC3, and glutathione peroxidase except for Cs were significantly enhanced (< .05). Based on the above, dietary supplementation of single L. acidophilus at 1.0 × 109 cfu/kg or combination of three strains at 3.0 × 109 cfu/kg for hybrid grouper is recommended.  相似文献

A 90‐day experiment was conducted by rearing 1020 prawn juveniles (0.54 ± 0.03 g) in water supplemented with three different concentrations of probiotic bacteria viz. T1 (107 cfu L?1), T2 (108 cfu L?1), T3 (109 cfu L?1) and the control (C) (unsupplemented water), to evaluate probiotic effect of Lactobacillus plantarum. In the present study, the growth parameters (WG%, SGR) and feed utilization parameters (FCR, PER) significantly improved (P < 0.05) in T3. The growth and feed utilization parameters though improved marginally in T1 and T2, the difference was not significant (P > 0.05) compared to the control. The gastro‐intestinal Lactobacillus sp. count increased significantly (P < 0.05) in all the treatment groups, whereas the decrease in harmful bacteria was significant (P < 0.05) in T3 compared to the control. Similarly, the Lactobacillus sp. count in culture water increased significantly (P < 0.05) in all the experimental groups, whereas the decrease in harmful bacteria was significant (P < 0.05) in T2 and T3. The immune parameters (THC, PO and RB activity) and clearance efficiency significantly improved (P < 0.05) in T3 with concurrent decrease (P < 0.05) in cumulative mortality against Aeromonas hydrophila challenge. However, water quality did not improved (P > 0.05) in any of the treatment groups. The results indicate that Lactobacillus plantarum at a minimum concentration of 109 cfu L?1 could be used as water additive to confer its probiotic effect in prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii. Moreover, future studies with higher probiotic concentrations should be conducted for its efficient commercial scale field application.  相似文献

To improve shell pigmentation and growth performance of Pacific abalone, five extruded diets were prepared by supplementing a formulated control diet with 3% each of three species of algae (Pacific dulse, Porphyra yezoensis, Spirulina) and a pigment extract from the abalone shells (0.02%). Each of the five diets and a commercial feed were randomly assigned to three containers each stocked with 1000 juvenile Pacific abalone (2 g per individual) in a flow‐through seawater system for a 5‐mo feeding trial. Test results showed: (1) all the supplements significantly (P < 0.05) increased percentages of dark‐brown shelled abalone in the test treatments, relative to the control treatment; (2) the abalone fed the experimental diets achieved significantly (P < 0.05) greater final weight, shell‐length growth rates, and higher meat protein contents than those fed the commercial feed (P < 0.05); and (3) the abalone fed the Spirulina‐supplemented diet achieved the best overall growth, pigmentation performances, and feed conversion ratio; and the Pacific dulse supplement generated the highest protein content in abalone meat product (P < 0.05) among the tested diets. These results demonstrate the potential of locally made feed, which can generate desirable characteristics in abalone under aquaculture conditions.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of dietary probiotics on reproductive performance, growth, haematological and biochemical parameters of female rainbow trout broodstock. A total of 60 broodstocks with an average initial weight of 2,267.4 ± 54.9 g were divided into four groups and three replicates in raceway ponds. Fish were fed with diets containing 0 (control), 1 × 109 (P1), 2 × 109 (P2) and 4 × 109 (P3) CFU probiotic per kg diet twice a day for 8 weeks before spawning season. Results revealed that higher levels of dietary probiotics (P3) enhanced protein efficiency ratio and decreased feed conversion ratio (p < .05). There were no significant differences in haematological and other growth parameters among different treatments. According to the results, probiotic‐fed treatments had the lowest levels of cholesterol (237.7 ± 4.3 mg/dl) and the highest levels of total protein (11.3 ± 0.3 g/dl) and albumin (6.9 ± 0.3 g/dl), so that differences were found between P3 and control groups in all cases (p < .05). Based on the observations from reproductive parameters, the highest egg diameter, working and relative fecundities, fertilization and hatching rates, eyed eggs survival and alevins survival rates up to the absorption of the yolk sac were observed in P3 treatment (p < .05). Moreover, eyeing, hatching and yolk sac absorbing stages in P3 treatment were earlier than those in other treatments (p < .05). The results of present study demonstrated that probiotic supplementation improved reproductive performance and some growth and biochemical parameters in female rainbow trout broodstock and the best performance was observed in fish fed 4 × 109 CFU probiotic per kg diet. Due to an increase in egg production and egg size in probiotic‐fed treatments, this feed additive can be used as a suitable ingredient to increase high‐quality egg production in rainbow trout breeders.  相似文献

This experiment was conducted to study the effect of dietary supplementation of probiotic on performance and intestinal microflora of Chinese soft‐shelled turtle. Healthy Chinese soft‐shelled turtles (6000 pieces with average weight of 5 g) were selected and randomly divided into two groups: control and treatment with three replicates each. The control was fed on normal basal diet, whereas treatment was fed on basal diet supplemented with 1 × 108 cfu.g?1 Bacillus subtilis preparation. The results showed that the final mean weight of treatment (265.84 ± 3.48 g) was significantly higher (< 0.05) than that of control (240.45 ± 4.32 g). There was significant difference (< 0.05) in FCR, and DGs were obtained in probiotics fed group as compared to control. The level of sucrase, maltase, amylase, lipase and ATPase of treatment was significantly higher (< 0.05) than that of control. Pyrosequencing showed that the dietary supplementation of probiotic Bacillus strain decreased microbial diversity. Phylum Firmicutes was dominant in both groups. Compared with the control, Firmicutes was increased, while others were decreased in treatment group. The results indicated that dietary supplementation of probiotic can improve growth performance, digestibility and intestinal microflora in Chinese soft‐shelled turtle.  相似文献

The influence of three different initial stocking densities (low stocking density [LSD] = 1.5 kg/m2; medium stocking density [MSD] = 3 kg/m2; and high stocking density [HSD] = 6 kg/m2) in flow‐through systems was evaluated on growth and welfare in beluga, Huso huso, and ship sturgeon, Acipenser nudiventris, juveniles for 2 mo. Fish were kept in 18 concrete square tanks (2.0 × 1.0 × 1.2 m3) at 22.3 ± 0.4 C and under a natural photoperiod. In both species, the growth performance in terms of final body weight, weight gain, specific growth rate, and feed intake significantly decreased with increasing stocking density (P < 0.05). In both species, the percent of neutrophils increased after 60 d of trial (P < 0.05). Moreover, hematocrit and white blood cell counts increased after 60 d of trial in ship sturgeon (P < 0.05). Plasma immunoglobulin significantly decreased with increasing stocking density in both species. Plasma insulin‐like growth factor I decreased with increasing stocking density in beluga; however, it was not affected in ship sturgeon. Overall, these results showed that the LSD group in both species demonstrated more homogeneous and higher growth rate than the MSD and HSD groups.  相似文献

A 95‐day feeding trial was conducted to determine the effects of n‐3 highly unsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 HUFA) on the growth, antioxidation and lipid metabolism in grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus). Two isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets were formulated with either lard oil (LO) or fish oil (FO) as the main lipid source. The results showed that the intraperitoneal fat (IPF) ratio was significantly lower (P < 0.05) in FO group. The concentration of n‐3 HUFA in muscle, hepatopancreas and IPF was significantly higher in FO group (P < 0.05). The serum low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) content was significantly lower (P < 0.05), and glucose (GLU) content was significantly higher (P < 0.05) in FO group. The serum total superoxide dismutase (T‐SOD) activity was significantly higher (P < 0.05) in FO group, consistent with the serum malondialdehyde (MDA) content. The gene expression of IPF fatty acid synthase (FAS), acetyl‐CoA carboxylase (ACC), sterol regulatory element‐binding protein (SREBP‐1) and peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor γ (PPARγ) was significantly lower (P < 0.05) and that of peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor α (PPARα) was significantly higher (P < 0.05) in FO group compared with LO group.
