Changes at the rural/urban interface are presenting new challenges for many mushroom farms, who increasingly find themselves the subject of public complaints from nonfarming neighbors. Identifying the type and extent of neighbors concerns is important for farmers and local officials to respond appropriately. This study examined neighbors' perceptions of mushroom farms in Chester County, Pennsylvania, the nation's most productive mushroom producing area. Telephone interviews with 601 neighbors found about 23 percent of neighbors reported having a concern. Odors were the most common concern, held by 14 percent of respondents (and being 36 percent of all concerns). Neighbors were less likely to have concerns if they were aware of the mushroom farm before moving to the area, and more likely to have a concern if the farm changed operation after they moved. (Ed. In the United States, more farms are composting than municipalities, commercial/institutional establishments, and other private sector groups combined. To obtain an overview of agricultural composting in the United States, industry, government, and university representatives from the top 10 beef and dairy cattle, poultry, and swine producing states were contacted between January and April of 1995. These states represent at least 70 percent of the nation's production of these commodities (except for beef cattle at 52 percent). The representatives provided information about the number of farms composting, the materials composted, composting methods, how the compost is used, and motivating and impeding factors for farms to compost. In addition, information was gathered concerning composting crop residues. In this case, specific applications of crop residue composting were identified and individuals knowledgeable about the applications were contacted for background information.

Note the estimated numbers of composting operations presented here represent a best attempt to quantify the composting activity taking place on various types of farms. In many cases, the numbers are rough estimates, based on the assessments of the representatives contacted in each state. Also, they only include the composting operations in the top 10 producing states. A considerable amount of composting occurs outside of these states. Therefore, Tables 1 and 2 underestimate the number of farms that compost.  相似文献

针对规模化肉牛场粪污的收集与处理问题,以干清粪工艺为研究对象,总结归纳了规模化肉牛场粪污收集量的计算公式,并以1万头肉牛养殖场为例计算了粪污的产生和收集量,在此基础上选取了堆肥技术处理牛粪,进行了牛粪堆肥处理工艺设计。结果表明:干清粪工艺下规模化肉牛场粪污收集量可由公式直接算出,粪污收集率系数为0.83。养殖规模为1万头的肉牛养殖场,每天的粪尿收集量为150 t,含水率为82%。日处理210 t原料(牛粪150 t+辅料60 t,含水率60%),可产生含水率35%的堆肥产品93.04 t;堆肥项目主要土建工程占地面积为17 738 m2,采用连续动态好氧堆肥处理工艺和配套设备后,实现了整个系统的自动化运行。  相似文献

Improvement of the process of mushroom composting is of importance in order to provide an optimal growing medium needed for the mushroom. Since composting produces a food source for the mushroom, the compositional changes of mushroom compost occurring during the growth cycle of the button mushroom, Agaricus bisporus, were studied. Samples were collected during spawning, casing and the following four flushes. Samples were analyzed for their elemental composition, carbohydrates, FTIR, 13C-NMR, pyrolysis-GC/MS and tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) thermochemolysis-GC/MS. The carbohydrate analysis revealed a decrease in the total amount of about 40% of the identified monosaccharides during mushroom growth. The 13C-NMR data also confirm that polysaccharides are the main fraction degraded (or utilized by the mushrooms) during the cropping period. These findings were also confirmed by changes in the absorbance of functional groups observed in the FTIR spectra. Pyrolysis data revealed chromatographic peaks related to polysaccharides-, proteins- and lignin-derived compounds. Both pyrolysis and TMAH thermochemolysis data show degradation of lignin structures during the growth period. Lignin alteration primarily involved a preferential degradation of syringyl units and oxidation of side chains of guaiacyl moieties. This study suggests that the polysaccharide fraction of the mushroom substrate is the main organic fraction utilized during the process. In addition, alterations of lignin structures have occurred although its relative content usually increases during mushroom cropping.  相似文献

膨松剂对厨余垃圾堆肥CH4、N2O和NH3排放的影响   总被引:6,自引:5,他引:1  
厨余垃圾有别于混合生活垃圾,具有高有机质含量和高含水率等特点,单独堆肥会产生大量CH4、N2O、NH3和渗滤液,为减少厨余垃圾堆肥过程污染物的排放,该文以居民小区产生的经大类粗分后的厨余垃圾为研究对象,以菌糠为膨松剂,设置15%、25%、35% 3个添加质量比(湿基)的堆肥处理,以纯厨余垃圾单独堆肥为对照处理,研究菌糠作为膨松剂对厨余垃圾堆肥过程中CH4、N2O、NH3和渗滤液排放的影响及其最佳添加比例。结果表明,堆肥过程中,添加菌糠可以完全避免厨余垃圾堆肥过程中渗滤液的产生;堆肥结束时,添加15%和25%菌糠的处理堆肥达到腐熟标准,但添加35%的菌糠使堆肥高温期缩短,不利于有机质分解;与对照处理相比,添加15%、25%和35%比例的菌糠均可以减少堆肥过程中CH4和NH3的累计排放量,且减排量与添加比例正相关,但只有添加15%菌糠的堆肥处理明显降低了N2O的排放量;添加质量比为15%和25%菌糠的堆肥处理,CH4和N2O排放总量比厨余垃圾单独堆肥分别减少45.8%、19.6%,而添加质量比为35%的菌糠使CH4和N2O排放总量为厨余垃圾单独堆肥的1.14倍(每t物料,干基)。综上,菌糠作为食用菌种植废弃物,可用作厨余垃圾堆肥膨松剂,在适宜的添加比例条件下,能够在避免堆肥过程中渗滤液产生的同时,减少CH4、N2O和NH3的排放量。研究结果可为厨余垃圾堆肥过程温室气体减排、氮素损失控制和工艺改进提供理论依据和试验基础。  相似文献

Samples from conventional and environmentally controlled (EC) composts taken at various stages of composting and mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) growth were analyzed for changes in 80 percent ethanol and water extracts, monosaccharides in acid hydrolysates of polysaccharides, lignin concentrations and lignin structural features. The relative lignin content of all composts as measured by the acetyl bromide procedure increased, both during composting and mushroom growth. On the assumption that the absolute amount of lignin remains unaltered during composting and mushroom growth, the relative changes to the polysaccharide concentrations were calculated. Thus, during composting, 70, 53 and 58 percent of the initial wall polysaccharides for conventional, “cold” and “hot” EC, respectively, were consumed by compost microorganisms. During spawn running and fruiting, about 15 percent of wall polysaccharides were utilized from all types of composts. Thus, considerable amounts (17–31 percent) of polysaccharide remained at the end of mushroom production. During composting, there were changes in the degree of condensation and in the extent of oxidation of the lignins in all cases, but the rate and extent of these changes was dependent on the different composting regimes. During mushroom growth, further changes occurred, again with different patterns for the different compost types.  相似文献

分别使用玉米秸秆与菌糠作为餐厨垃圾的堆肥调理剂,进行堆肥1次发酵对比试验,旨在考察菌糠作为餐厨垃圾堆肥调理剂的可行性。通过对2种调理剂与餐厨垃圾堆肥过程中理化性质及腐熟度变化的分析,表明餐厨垃圾好氧堆肥时,菌糠是一种优于玉米秸秆的良好调理剂,餐厨垃圾与菌糠混合堆肥时升温速度快、高温期持续时间长,含水率与有机质分别下降19.6%和20.2%。同时,其混合堆料在堆肥过程中散发臭气较少,1次堆肥处理后发芽指数较高(55.6%),基本实现腐熟。  相似文献

为摸清东北地区畜禽粪污处理技术与资源化利用模式应用现状,该研究采用问卷调研与现场评估相结合的方式,对黑龙江、吉林和辽宁3省272个规模化养殖场进行了调研,分析了养殖畜种与存栏量、粪污产生量、粪污处理技术、粪污处理设施设备以及粪肥还田参数等数据,总结了东北地区畜禽粪污处理技术应用现状和资源化利用模式特点。结果表明:东北地区主要粪污收集工艺为干清粪,占比达94.35%。固体粪便以堆沤肥工艺为主,占所调研养殖场的86.93%,各畜种粪便存储设施面积符合畜禽规模化养殖场粪污资源化利用设施建设规范要求。液体粪污主要处理方式为粪水贮存,占所调研养殖场的68.18%;奶牛养殖场粪水贮存设施小于建设规范要求。东北地区粪肥还田主要种植作物为玉米,占所有种植作物的78.13%,现有配套土地面积普遍低于畜禽粪污土地承载力测算需求面积。固体粪肥主要施肥方式为人工施肥,占比达88.00%;液体粪肥主要施肥方式为漫灌和喷灌,占比分别为54.17%和37.50%。整体来看,东北地区粪污处理与资源化利用主要技术模式为“干清粪+粪便堆沤+粪水贮存”。研究结果可为东北地区粪污处理和资源化利用模式推广和政策制定提供参考。  相似文献

There is an increased interest in composting manure on small horse farms (1-5 horses). It is known that simple backyard, food waste composters do not efficiently reduce pathogens due to their small scale. However, it was not clear if small-scale manure composting on horse farms could ensure pathogen reduction during all seasons. Furthermore, because of potential human health concerns, the release of Aspergillus fumigatus on small horse farms was of interest. The objective of this study was to evaluate pathogen reduction in a simple shed composter and the release of Aspergillus fumigatus emissions from fall to spring under typical farm operational conditions. Horse manure mixed with wood shavings (bedding) was composted for 4-8 weeks in the fall, winter, early spring and late spring. Fecal streptococci and eggs of strongyles, which are a major recognized health concern for horses, were used as pathogen indicator organisms. Temperatures increased in all composting piles during all seasons, but tended to be higher in warmer weather. After 4 weeks, the fecal streptococci reduction was about 10- to 100-fold and, after 8 weeks, about 100- to 1000-fold. There was some effect of season on fecal streptococci levels, with the higher composting temperatures appearing to provide greater reductions. Strongyle eggs in this study were very low and were reduced over time. Levels of viable A. fumigatus spores during turning ranged from 12-2084 CFU m?3, while background levels ranged between 6 - 300 CFU m?3. Overall, this study indicates that composting horse manure mixed with wood shavings reduces pathogens. A. fumigatus levels are elevated during turning, but the levels are lower than those found at sewage sludge/municipal solid waste composting facilities or inside barns.  相似文献

选取稻草、油菜秸秆和食用菌渣作为猪粪堆肥的有机辅料,研究三种堆肥体系中氨气挥发释放规律及其影响因素。结果表明,经过65 d的堆腐,稻草-猪粪、油菜秸秆-猪粪和菌渣-猪粪堆肥氨气挥发量分别为5.084、6.483和3.013 g/kg,是对照(纯猪粪)处理(7.836g/kg)的64.88%、82.74%和38.45%。从氨气的释放量和释放速率看,菌渣是一种较好的有机辅料。从氨气释放的时间变化特征看,稻草对猪粪堆肥氨气排放高峰期影响最为明显,主要表现为氨气前期猛烈释放且持续时间短,是猪粪快速腐熟技术优选的高效有机辅料。堆腐完成后,三种有机辅料均能减少水溶性NH4+-N的累积,增加水溶性NO3--N的含量,引起pH和EC值下降,提高堆肥全氮含量,促进堆肥有机物和粗纤维的降解,且以稻草和菌渣处理效果最为显著。  相似文献

风干预处理对堆肥腐熟度及臭气排放量的影响   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:1  
该研究以风干猪粪堆肥为处理,以新鲜猪粪堆肥为对照,在秸秆调理相同C/N基础上,对两个处理腐熟度和臭气排放进行比较分析。从温度、p H值、电导率和发芽率来看,利用新鲜猪粪和风干猪粪堆肥所得的产品均能达到腐熟和无害化标准;在硫化氢、羰基硫、二硫化碳、甲硫醚、乙硫醚、二甲二硫、甲硫醇和乙硫醇几种含硫臭气中,甲硫醚和二甲二硫占96%以上;风干猪粪堆肥比新鲜猪粪堆肥少排放71.09%的氨气,66.11%的甲硫醚和9.66%的二甲二硫。在不考虑风干环节存在的问题条件下,与新鲜猪粪堆肥相比,风干猪粪堆肥堆肥时间短,在堆肥品质提高的基础上,堆肥产品产量增加60%。通过降低水分和体积风干猪粪运输成本降低1/3,且对环境影响小,是远距离资源化处理畜禽粪便的较好途径。  相似文献

Saccaromonospora viridis is a thermophilic actinomycetes organism which is found in mushroom compost, as well as being a causal agent of mushroom worker's lung (MWL) and other hypersensitivity pneumonitis conditions, including farmer's lung. Phenotypically, it is difficult to distinguish the seven species described for this genus based solely on chemtaxonomic characterization, therefore it was the aim of this study to examine partial 16S rDNA PCR amplification and direct sequencing, as an improved molecular means of identification of Saccharomonospora viridis, associated with MWL. The approach adopted in this study was to identify hypervariable regions within the 16S rRNA gene, which could be employed as signature sequences of the seven individual species within this genus and to employ highly conserved flanking primers to allow initial PCR amplification, prior to direct DNA sequencing of the 16S rDNA amplicon, in a partial 16S rDNA-sequence typing technique. Four universal 16S rDNA primer combinations [P11P/P13P, PSL/PSR, XB1(SV)/PSR and XB1(SV)/P13P] were compared for their ability to identify an unknown thermophilic Saccharomonospora organism from MWL. All PCR primer combinations coupled with direct sequencing allowed for the successful identification of the MWL isolate as S. viridis, demonstrating that universal 16S rDNA PCR primer pairs examined, including the P11P/P13P primer pair, flank regions within the 16S rRNA gene, of sufficient hypervariability to be able to reliably differentiate S. viridis from the other species within this genus. This approach may therefore be useful in the identification of Saccharomonospora spp. associated with composting, as well as with allergic alveolitis or pneumonitis associated occupational exposure in agricultural and horticultural environments, including mushroom production.  相似文献

添加菌糠对鸡粪-烟末堆肥腐熟度及污染气体排放的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为探索鸡粪-烟末混合堆肥体系合适的菌糠投入量,减轻堆肥过程中污染气体的排放,通过35 d的堆肥试验,设置3个菌糠投入量[0(CK)、5%、10%],研究鸡粪-烟末堆肥条件下添加菌糠对堆肥腐熟度和污染气体排放的影响。结果表明,堆肥处理堆体温度均能在55℃持续8 d以上,达无害化标准。与CK相比,添加5%、10%菌糠处理堆肥产品对作物生长无毒害作用,腐熟度得到有效改善,但均未达到腐熟标准;添加5%菌糠处理总有机碳(TOC)损失降低了2.39个百分点,总氮(TN)损失降低了8.92个百分点;添加10%菌糠处理TOC损失增加了0.27个百分点,但TN损失降低了11.89个百分点。综合考虑堆肥腐熟度、碳氮损失和环境效应,添加菌糠作为膨松剂能够提升堆肥腐熟度并减少污染气体排放,更有利于农业废弃物肥料化的可持续发展。  相似文献

分别以木屑、药渣、菇渣、砻糠灰作为猪粪堆肥的调理剂,研究其在堆肥过程中温度、含水率、pH、EC和主要营养元素N、P、K的动态变化。结果表明,在整个堆制过程中,4个处理的堆温变化明显呈现出升温期、高温期和降温期3个阶段,其中,木屑处理堆体升温最快,且高温持续时间最长,砻糠灰处理高温持续时间最短;与初始值相比,堆肥后每个处理pH均有所上升,其中菇渣处理上升幅度最大,达0.9个单位;堆制过程中,4个处理有机质总体呈现下降的规律;堆肥后药渣处理的TN和TP含量最高;堆肥后砻糠灰处理的TK含量最高;堆肥后4个处理的pH和EC值都在腐熟堆肥的适宜范围之内,从N+P2O5+K2O总养分和保氮角度来看,应选药渣作调理剂,从提高堆肥TK含量来看,应选砻糠灰作调理剂。  相似文献

Safe management of animal and plant waste is one of the world's most important environmental challenges. Composting has been proposed as a useful technique for beneficially recycling wastes. This study showed that significant temporal changes in the nutrient availability occurred during the composting of cow manure with poplar leaf litter within 120 days. In particular, total C in the final compost was directly related to the addition of tree litter and inversely related to the time of composting, whereas extractable P and NO3 increased with increasing amounts of tree litter and ammonium showed the opposite trend. During the later stages of the composting process higher concentrations of water soluble K, Ca, Mg, and Na were observed. The major benefit observed was that heavy metal concentrations initially present in the manure were significantly reduced during composting. Heavy metals in the final compost decreased in the order: Fe > Mn > Zn > Cu > Ni > Cd. The increased availability of plant nutrients following composting coupled with the lower extractability of heavy metals indicates that composting may be a sustainable option for agricultural waste recycling and increased productivity.  相似文献

基于电子鼻和GIS的大型生活垃圾堆肥厂恶臭污染源测定   总被引:4,自引:4,他引:0  
堆肥能够在有效地处理有机生活垃圾的同时生产肥料产品,但堆肥过程中产生的恶臭气体是影响环境的重要因素,严重影响了该项技术的推广应用。为确定堆肥厂恶臭来源和强度,进而为进一步治理提供参考。笔者通过先期调查对堆肥厂存在的恶臭污染释放点进行了初步确定,利用GPS(global position system)定位技术进行网格化布点。在为期30 d的调查过程中,通过电子鼻检测手段分别对堆肥厂厂区和周边环境的恶臭污染状况进行检测。在获得大量现场检测数据的基础上选择GIS(geographic information system)技术中的张力样条法对调查区域进行插值运算,依据生成的数值绘制该区域恶臭污染的等强度曲线。通过作图能够直观地了解恶臭污染分布及浓度梯度下降趋势。对厂区的调查结果作图表明在堆肥厂厂区主要存在着2个主要的恶臭污染释放点源,一个位于发酵车间前段渗滤液抽排外运出口,电子鼻检测数值显示2465,另一个位于与生物滤池附近,电子鼻检测数值显示2913,通过折算臭气浓度分别为840和2191。其中发酵车间附近渗滤液抽排外运出口的取样点邻近与填埋场划定的厂界,其数值远远超过恶臭污染排放标准(GB14554-1993)规定的无组织排放厂界臭气浓度值。2个污染释放源的恶臭强度均达到5级水平。通过对周边环境的更大范围内的恶臭状况检测与比较分析,可以确定堆肥厂的恶臭污染是影响周边环境的首要恶臭因素。  相似文献

  【目的】  探究添加酸解氨基酸 (AA) 对不同植物源废弃物堆肥进程、氮素损失阻控、堆肥品质和产品效果的影响。  【方法】  分别向3种含碳量不同的植物源废弃物 (中药渣、木薯渣和蘑菇渣) 中添加5%、10%和15% (体积质量比) 的酸解氨基酸,以不添加酸解氨基酸处理作为对照,监测堆肥过程中的温度和理化指标。堆肥结束后,以辣椒和茄子作为供试作物进行盆栽和大田试验。盆栽试验以不施肥和施化肥为对照,试验处理包括9个堆肥产品及其添加促生菌 (解淀粉芽孢杆菌SQR9) 制备的生物有机肥产品,共24个,调查了不同处理辣椒和茄子的生物量和生理指标。田间试验以不施肥和施化肥为对照,以盆栽效果最佳的堆肥产品及其制备的生物有机肥单施、两个产品分别与化肥配合,共14个处理,调查了辣椒和茄子的生长状况。  【结果】  添加酸解氨基酸延长了中药渣和木薯渣堆肥的高温期持续时间,而蘑菇渣堆肥的高温期持续时间随酸解氨基酸添加量的增加而减少。酸解氨基酸加入后,3种原料堆体的pH均有所下降,且整体上酸解氨基酸添加量越多,pH下降越显著。酸解氨基酸明显促进了3种原料堆肥中纤维素、半纤维素和总碳的分解,且促进效果和氮磷钾养分积累量随着酸解氨基酸添加量的增加而提高。此外,酸解氨基酸加入后由于引入H+,使堆体的电导率有小幅上升。盆栽试验表明,3种有机物料堆肥均以添加10% AA制成的有机肥最佳,且能显著提高辣椒植株的鲜重、干重、株高、茎粗和叶绿素含量,添加促生菌后进一步提高了堆肥的效果。以10% AA处理的有机肥及其生物有机肥进行大田试验,中药渣有机肥中,生物有机肥处理为辣椒田间处理最佳,生物有机肥加化肥处理为茄子田间处理最佳;木薯渣有机肥处理中,生物有机肥处理在辣椒和茄子田间试验中均为最佳处理;蘑菇渣有机肥处理,生物有机肥加化肥处理在辣椒和茄子大田试验中各项指标均为最优;表明10% AA处理的有机肥配合功能菌株施用能促进作物生长、提高作物产量,整体效果显著优于空白和化肥处理。  【结论】  添加酸解氨基酸能够降低堆肥pH,减少堆肥过程中的氮素损失,延长堆肥高温期的持续时间,提高有机碳降解效率及氮磷钾相对含量;该堆肥与功能菌株配伍制成的生物有机肥,与等养分化肥处理相比,可以显著提高作物的生物量和产量。  相似文献

以某规模化养牛场为例,应用生命周期评价方法,对畜禽粪便两种不同处理方式进行生命周期污染物排放清单分析,在此基础上进行了生命周期环境影响评价。结果表明,畜禽粪便处理过程中主要的环境影响类型是全球变暖,其次是环境酸化和富营养化。其中好氧堆肥工艺的环境酸化和富营养化潜力大于厌氧发酵处理工艺,厌氧发酵工艺全球变暖潜力大于好氧堆肥。综合比较,厌氧发酵的环境影响优于好氧堆肥,其环境影响综合指数分别为0.011 2、0.024 3,该养殖场宜采用厌氧发酵工艺处理畜禽粪便。  相似文献

针对食用菌培养基废弃物(菌糠)的资源浪费与环境污染,以及商业碳材料制备复杂等问题,该研究提出选取了不同出菇次数的菌糠作为原材料,通过简单的高温碳化方法,制备了一类低成本、微观结构各异的生物质多孔碳,经KOH高温活化调控产物孔径后,作为碳骨架材料应用于锂硫电池正极中,探究出菇次数对其电化学性能的影响。结果表明,出菇1次菌时,菌糠内营养物质部分分解产生孔隙,且滋生大量菌丝,经过KOH辅助活化碳化后获得具有发达三维孔道的海绵状碳骨架(AMRC-Ⅰ),其比表面积显著增大(1 591.06 m2/g),介孔比例提高(88.03 %),有利于提高电化学活性物质利用率,表现出较高的初始放电比容量(1 111.31 mAh/g)和稳定的循环寿命(100次循环后保持355.99 mAh/g的可逆容量)。该研究表明出菇次数可以调控菌糠基碳骨架的微观结构,进而影响其作为锂硫电池正极基体时的电化学性能,为菌糠废弃物的高价值利用提供了新思路。  相似文献
