| Abstract: | Based on the theory of breed-keeping and the practice in the conse-rvation of Hu-sheep in Dongsan (Easten Mountain) of Wu County of Jiangsu Province, the present paper, in contact with the consideration of the problems how to keep the breeds in China, evaluates the following items: breeds required to keep; selection of the place and limits for the keeping of the breeds; selection, composition and quantities of the original flocks; selecting methods and breeding systems; strategies and managements and so on in the area. |
