| Abstract: | Advances in the studies of the biocontrol of mosquitoes are reviewed.Emphasis is placed upon the use of fishes among the predators, Bacillusthuringiensis H-14 and B. sphaericus among the microbial agents, and theniermithids among the parasites. In China, some new achievements in thisfield are mentioned, such as pisciculture in paddy fields, the isolation ofa new potential strain of B. sphaericus, and the culture of a new mermithidRomanomermis jingdeensis. |
