Abstract: | Plant extracts have been used against nematodes mainly in the third-world countries. The possibility of using leaves of olive trees for reducing populations of nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) in the soil was investigated in the present work. The root-knot incidence in tomato roots was reduced as well as the presence of nematodes in the soil. The methanol extract of the leaves inhibited hatching of the eggs almost completely. |
