Experimental Study on Transplanting Grow-up Orange Trees in Three Gorges Reservior Area

The survival rate of grow-up orange trees reached over 98% no matter when transplanting in spring or in autumn. The trees can tecover to or surplus the level before transplanting in the same autumn (transplanted in spring ) or in the next autumn (transplanted in autumn ). The orange trees transplanted in autumn, starched with root improvement powder and with more earth grew better than trees transplanted in spring, not starched with root improvement powder and with less earth, whether from nutrient growth or from genital growth. Orchard set up with grow-up orange trees had obvious advantage than that set up with young orange trees, the pure income of the transplanted orange orchard in the first & years was 1. 36 times than that of young orange orchard in the same period. All related departments and farmers in" three gorges" reservior areas should pay full attention to the transplanting work.
