Approach to Industrilization Development of Soil and Water Conservation from Utilization of Common Seabuckthron

Exploitation and utilization of common seabuckthron resources is an important measure to accelerate harnessment of"three-north" soil loss areas. At present, the total common seabuckthron area has reached 1300 thousand ha, 20 base counties for planting common seabuckthron have been set up. There are more than 200factories and plants which Process and utilize common seabuckthron with over 200 kinds of products. From the way of common seabuckthron industry,the experience for soil and water conservation industrilization is as follow: bringing the trade advantages into play on basis of local resources; paying more attention to input and output with aim to the market; selecting dominant industry and setting up basis factories;coordinating" thousands of households"with " broad market" to realize enterprise m.snagement;paying more attention to economic, ecologic and social benefits and increasing technological content to strengthen industrilization with high and new technique.
