Brief Account about the Sugar Industry in Southwest China in Tang Dynasty

The sugar production(mainly honey and cane sugar)of Southwest China has a long history and had made prominent progress in Tang Dynasty.By analyzing the sugar's species,producing process and producing area etc.,this paper delves deeply into the developing history of the sugar industry in Southwest China in Tang Dynasty.The sugar industry had social and economical influence on local society:it had stimulated catering industry,made commercial market booming and promoted the production of commodities.
