| Abstract: | Rubber plantations are one of the most successful and typical man-planted eco-forests. For a long time, the studies on nutrient circulation under rubber plantations are not systematic due to their regional limit and their own special characters. The recent advances of studies on nutrient circulation of rubber plantation ecosystem are reviewed in ecological, physiological, and eco-physiological aspects. The problems of nutrient circulation existing in tropical natural rubber plantation ecosystem in China are also discussed. It is pinpointed that the balance between physiology and ecology of nutrient circulation in rubber plantations is the key for the future study. |
