| Abstract: | Wound healing describes the host mechanisms involved in the process of restoring the continuity of tissues after injury. Wound healing progresses through a continuum of overlapping stages characterized by macroscopic, microscopic, and biochemical events. An understanding of the relation between these events can enhance clinicians' skills in wound management. |
