The Development Strategy of Millet Industry in Fumeng County

Fumeng County is an important grain production base in Liaoning, and millet has become an important refuge crop against the local barren drought. This paper examines the characters of the cultivated land in Fumeng County and its millet planting and production situation and the advantages it enjoyed. The author analyzes the existing problems in the development of millet industry and puts forward countermeasures from the perspectives of introduction and selection of new varieties, cultivation technology optimization, introduction of deep processing industry, and improving marketing system, so as to promote the millet industrialization development in Fumeng County.
