| Abstract: | Considerable advances have been made over the last decade in the efficacy of the anthelmintics available for treatment of helminthiases in dogs, cats and horses. With the advent of new drugs, it has also come to be appreciated that the effectiveness of previously-used compounds was not as great as had been thought. Because of the large number of compounds now available the choice of drug has become confused and this paper is intended to classify the efficacy of the currently-available anthelmintic drugs and to indicate the possible hazards in their use. |
