Abstract: | Abstract Goldfish Carassius auratus L., larvae were raised on a diet of yeast, rice flour, vitamins and a lipid source consisting of 10% of either canola oil (CAN) or cod liver oil (COD) or a mixture of 5% of each (MIX). Survival of larvae raised on CAN or MIX diets was comparable to that of larvae raised on COD diets. In longer-term experiments, growth was superior and development more rapid in larvae receiving the COD diet. |
