| Abstract: | Leaves of corn (Zea Mays L. ) were treated by different growth regu- lators, "Ye-Mian-bao", potassium dihydrogen phosphate, "Enong", fetilizer containing trace elements and distilled water as control at booting stage. Under water stress at flowering stage, leaves of corn plants were injured sesriously. It was showed that water potential and relative water content lowered, permeability of plasmolemma increased, SOD activity lowered, MDA content increased and fatty acid composition of membrane lipid in leaves changed. All of these changes in physiological and biochemical process resulted in obvious grain yield decrease. However, the leaves of plants which were treated by growth regulators suffered from drought injury as compared with the control treatment and their grain yield was high, too. |
