中果型西瓜新品种"甬蜜7号"的选育

甬蜜7号是以自交系YX-3为母本、以自交系X17为父本杂交选育而成的早熟、中果型西瓜新品种。其春季设施栽培果实发育期约为36 d,全生育期约为98 d;果实近圆形、剖面好、单果质量7.00 kg,果面有蓝绿色覆宽齿条、光滑、有蜡粉,果皮厚度中,瓤色粉红,汁液多,瓤质松脆,纤维少,口感好,中心糖度为12.36%,边缘糖度为8.14%;春季大棚栽培可采收2批左右,每667 m2第1批西瓜可采收约1 919 kg。适合浙江及其相似生态区域的春季设施大棚栽培。

Breeding of a New Medium-size Watermelon Cultivar "Yongmi No.7"

Abstract: "Yongmi No.7" was bred by crossing the inbred line "YX-3" as female parent and the inbred line "X17" as male parent, which was a medium-size watermelon F1 hybrid cultivar with early maturity. It showed that the fruit development period of greenhouse cultivation in spring was about 36 days and the whole growth period was about 98 days. The fruit was nearly round with good profile and 7.00 kg of single fruit weight, whose smooth surface was covered by blue-green widely rack and waxy powder. The fruit had medium thick peel, pink pulp, juicy, crisp and less fiber, whose center sugar content was 12.36% and the edge sugar content was 8.14%. About 2 batches of watermelon could be harvested in the greenhouse in spring, and the first batch of watermelon could be harvested about 1 919 kg per 667 m2. It was suitable for greenhouse cultivation in spring in Zhejiang and the similar ecological regions.
