| Abstract: | Osteomyelitis of the cervical and thoracic vertebrae and ribs was diagnosed in a mature German Shepherd dog. Klebsiella pneumoniae and Clostridium sp. were isolated from a rib biopsy. Treatment with an extended course of chloramphenicol resulted in recovery, both clinically and radiographically. |
