| Abstract: | Bar gene is widely used in plant genetic engineering breeding as a herbicide resistant gene, and in genetic transformation as a marker gene. The action mechanism of bar gene, its inheritance and its influence on agronomic characteristics in its transgenic rice were reviewed. The applications of transgenic rice plants with bar gene in utilization of rice heterosis were also discussed. |
