| Abstract: | By using digital method of remote sensing and geographical information system techniques,TM images have been interpreted to establish the database of grassland coverage of Gansu province and the times of TM image are mainly in 1996.The database includes TM image database,graphical database (scale 1:100000) and its attributing database.Through the study and analysis of grassland databases,the following points can be concluded:In Gansu province there is as much as 13863284hm2 grassland in the middle period of 1990's.There is 2503842hm2 of high coverage grassland occupying 18.06% of the whole grassland,5572765hm2 of moderate coverage grassland occupying 40.20% and 5786677hm2 of low coverage grassland occupying 41.74%. |
