Study On Correlation Between Different Corpus Luteum Level and Pregnancy Rate of Embryo Transfer in Buffalo

【Objective】The objective of this study is to investigate the correlation between the different corpus luteum level and pregnancy rate during the embryo transfer in buffalo and to afford data about improving buffalo pregnancy rate.【Method】During the embryo transferred in buffalo,the ovaries of the receptors were scanned by ultrasound to determine the presence or not of the corpus luteum and to classify them according their size.The corpus luteum with 1.5 cm and more,0.8~1.5 cm,0.8cm or less in diameter were classified respectively as A,B and C grade.The progesterone level of the receptors was also determined in embryo transfer day.Pregnancy determination was performed on the receptors by ultrasound scanning,45 days after the embryo transfer for a comprehensive analysis of the correlation between the size of corpus luteum,the progesterone level and the embryo transfer pregnancy rate.【Result】 In a total of 234 transplant recipients Buffaloes,the pregnancy rate in A,B and C groups were 27.27%(12/44),19.23%(15/78) and 22.73%(5/22),respectively.And the control group was 20.00%(18/90).【Conclusion】In the process of embryo transfer in buffalo,there was no important correlation between the corpus luteum size and the pregnancy rate.
