Abstract: | Emergence and plant performance were equivalent when peanut seed was treated with either a standard dust or with mixtures of liquid (suspension concentrate) formulations of fungicides applied at rates required to control soil- and seed-borne fungi. Liquid formulations do not pose the health and mechanical problems associated with dusts, so their use should be encouraged and adopted. A suitable treatment consists of a combination of captan 300g/l, dicloran 300g/l, an oil extender and rhodamine dye in acetic acid at 188, 247, 341 and 4 · 6 ml respectively per 100 kg of seed. |
