Abstract:To make advances in wheat molecular marker-assisted breeding, it is important to identify microsatellite markers associated with agronomical traits. In this study, eight agronomic traits and 80 microsatellites were used to evaluate a population with derivatives of Nanda2419. Population structure and linkage disequilibrium (LD) of loci were analyzed for the population, and then the association analysis between SSR loci and main agronomic traits including grain yield, spikes per square meter and grain number per spike, were performed by using TASSEL software MLM (Mixed linear model) program. The result showed followings: (1) Genetic structure analysis showed that 71 accessions were composed of six subpopulations. (2) SSR data analysis revealed that the different degrees of LD were detected not only among linked markers but also among unlinked ones. The D genome had lower proportion of markers in significant LD (8.9%) than A (15.3%) and B (13.8%) genomes, even though it had the same amount of makers coverage. But they were the highest degrees of LD for D genome. (3) There are 20 SSR loci associated with 8 agronomic traits were screened out. Among those, 4 marker loci were found to associate with the same trait and 10 SSR loci were located on the regions which were mapped by family-based linkage mapping procedure of previous authors. A number of loci associated with traits in the present paper are consistent with previous studies. There were 13 SSR maker loci associated with two or more traits simultaneously.
