Abstract: | fifty-eight German landrace pigs were dissected and in 48 of these the relationship between thymus and the skeleton was determined. The 48 pigs formed four age groups: 12 Prenatal, 12 perinatal, 12 postnatal, and 12 slaughter-age animals. In 22 Pigs the blood vessels were injected with Neoprene, Tensol cement, Plastoid, or India Ink-Gelatin to study the vasscularization of the thymus. The result form the basis for the complete experimental removal fo the pig's thymus. |
