| Abstract: | Inheritance of resistance in the wheat cultivar‘Arjun’(HD 2009) against leaf rust pathotype 77–1 revealed that its durable resistance is attributable to a novel dominant adult plant resistance (APR) gene. Lr13, another gene reported in the cultivar played no role. This new gene is established as different from Lr34, the only effective APR gene from Triticum aestivum known for durability. |
