Abstract: | Metoclopramide is used for the management of post operative ileus in horses for its gastrointestinal prokinetic effects. Adverse extrapyramidal signs have been reported following its use in horses as well as in man. This report describes the clinical signs exhibited during an adverse reaction suspected to be associated with subcutaneous administration of 0.25 mg/kg bwt metoclopramide at 6 h intervals. |
