Abstract: | Disseminated histoplasmosis was diagnosed in a 10-year-old dog that had chronic diarrhea, weight loss, fever, and anemia. The diagnosis was based on detection of Histoplasma organisms in circulating neutrophils, monocytes, and eosinophils. The dog had severe histoplasmal fungemia, which may have been caused by treatment with prednisolone. |
