Research Progress on the Gray Leaf Spot of Maize

Gray leaf spot of maize is a devastating worldwide disease especially in recent years which results in great loss to maize production. The present updated review focused on the etiology, overwintering, infection of the pathogens, occurrence and prevalence of this disease, and the various factors which affected the development of this disease. Based on this, the possible research hotspots in further and the integrated measures to control the disease were also discussed. It could provide a reference derived for the aunrate prevalence the best prevention time, predict and forecast in time and effectively guide the prevention and treatment of this disease.
