元数据DC与MARC的关系及在数字图书馆中的应用

元数据是一种关于数据的数据。DC和MARC是在图书馆应用较为广泛的两种元数据。它们之间既有联系也有区别。元数据是数字图书馆建设的关键技术之一，是数字图书馆用以进行知识组织和资源发现的工具，从MARC和DC的概念入手，分析了两种元数据的结构、特点，对二者进行了比较，研究了两者可能的映射转换。认为21世纪图书馆编目标准将会是DC与MARC并存的局面。
