Progress on Transgenic Techniques in Improvement of Animal Production Performance

Animal transgenic technology is a challenging technology developed on the basis of gene engineering,cellular engineering and embryo engineering.The genetic composition could be changed,the animal productivity and product quality could be improved,and the biological pharmaceuticals and new species of animals could be obtained according to human desire,if the transgenic technologies were used reasonably.However,there were many technologies being explored and problems without answering,the animal transgenic technology should be treated carefully.The research progress and problems on animal transgenic technology were reviewed and some suggestions were put forward in this paper to get people’s great attention.
