摘    要:棉酚是一种存在于棉酚腺体中的倍半萜烯类化合物。由于它的抗虫性及毒性,在棉花育种中颇受重视。近年来,对棉酚腺体、棉酚的研究较多,已经发现和克隆了与棉酚生物合成相关的基因,初步阐明了棉酚合成代谢的分子调控机制。有关棉酚的深入研究将有助于育种家培育种子低酚而植株高酚的棉花新品种。

Abstract:Gossypol is a kind of compounds of sesquiterperne, which generally exists in the gossypol gland. This trait is paid more attentions in the cotton breeding because of its insect resistance and toxicity for human and animals. In the recent years, there are many researches on gossypol gland and gossypol reported, and some genes related to gossypol biosynthesis have been found and cloned. The molecular mechanism about gossypol biosynthesis become more and more clear, which would help the breeder for developing the cotton of low-gossypol seed and high-gossypol plants.
