Opportunities and Challenges for the Construction and Development of Chemical Engineering Specialty in Tarim University in New Period

Depending on the superiority mineral resources and the fast development of chemical industry in southern Xinjiang,Chemical engineering and technology specialty of Tarim University has been rapid development in the western development. This paper discusses the opportunities and challenges for the construction and development of chemical engineering specialty in Tarim University,and puts forward teaching reform thinking of the construction and development of chemical engineering specialty in target,curriculum,ability and interest. Chemical engineers who can really solve practical engineering problems will be trained for southern Xinjiang,which can build region superiority characteristic specialty.
