Abstract: | Two weimaraner pups manifested the tetrad of clinical signs typical of spinal dysraphism: hopping gait; crouched stance; hmdlimb abduction and poor hindpaw proprioception. Histopatho-logical examination revealed spinal cord anomalies, asymmetry of dorsal grey matter and syringomyelia, consistent with spinal dysraphism in one case. There was a poor correlation between the severity of the clinical signs and the histopathological lesions. |
