摘    要:生长、含水量变化和水分张力变化都能引起树木直径的变化,树木直径变化表现为长期的不可逆生长和短期的昼夜变化.因为木质部、韧皮部和树皮的不同功能,它们膨胀和收缩的速度也不相同.木质部直径的变化与木质部液流相关,而韧皮部和树皮直径的变化不仅和木质部液流相关,还与韧皮部储存水以及木质部与韧皮部间的水分交换有关.

Abstract:Tree stem diameter changes due to both growth and changes in water content and water tension.So the change of stem diameter was observed as an irreversible increase in long term and a diurnal cycle in short term.According to different functions of xylem,phloem and bark,the diameter may swell and shrink at different rates,xylem diameter changes were directly linked with transpiration(sap flow in xylem);on the other hand,phleom and bark diameter changes may be not only related with sap flow but also with water storage in phloem and water exchange between xylem and phloem.This review focuses on the new understanding of the diameter changes of stem,sap flow,water storage and their relationship.
