Practical considerations in the control of bioavailability

The nature of the deposits of conventional pesticide formulations affect their bioavailability and loss. Modification of these formulations and special formulations, in particular microencapsulation, are discussed together with examples. The case for testing of controlled release formulations as part of a biological programme is examined.
