Limitations on the Protection of Creditor Under Security Right on Ships

It is very important to establish the system of security right on ships to protect the maritime interests of the creditors. This paper summarizes the characteristics of maritime lien,mortgage on vessel and possessory lien on vesse1,and points out their limitations on the protection of creditors. Aimed to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the creditors,the paper puts forward some suggestions as to law amendment,judicial interpretation and agreement in contract.
