Abstract:The effect and feasibility of applying ectomycorrhized fungi on air sowing seedlings of Chinese pine in dry and half-dry regions by inoculaling the pure culture of ectomycorrhized fungi have been studied. The results showed that the seedling's height, growen stem, lateral root nember, dry weight are obviourly increased. The rate of seedling establishment in the seed coating test areas is 2.5 time that of naked seed areas. The mycorrhized percentage atteined to 72 percent to 3 per- sent. Acorcding to the growing indices of man-made direct sowing seed- lings of Chinese pine indoors and out of doors. Three kinds of solid media were selected for cover clothes: expensible moist soil, talcum powder, carboxyl methylcellulose sodium (Na).
