Abstract: | The effect of trimming claws at an age of one day on the growth, development, livability, and production of laying chickens housed in cages is studied. It is established that trimming the claws of the middle and posterior toes compared to the control considerably reduces the age of sexual maturity of poultry and increases livability of the flock, egg production, and egg mass yield per hen with decrease of feed consumption per unit product. |
