| Abstract: | Yuanheng S,derived from the cross between RGD-7 S as the female and a high-quality and disease-resistant intermediate breeding material from the F4 generation of Yixiang 1 B//U04/Yixiang 1 B,in which U04 contains blast resistance gene Pi25 and Yixiang 1 B is a high-quality maintainer line,is a dual-purpose genic male sterile line in rice developed through fertility screening under both environments of Jianou,Fujian with high altitude,long daylength and low temperature and Sanya,Hainan with short daylength and low temperature,blast resistance identification and pedigree selection for seven generations over four years.With the characteristics of excellent comprehensive agronomic traits,low critical sterility-inducing temperature,blast resistance,good grain quality,high outcrossing rate,easy multiplication and hybrid seed production,high F1 seed germination rate and good combining ability,it was technically identified in January,2019 and subsequently released for commercial production in May,2019 by Anhui and Fujian Crop Variety Appraisal Committees,respectively. |
