| Abstract: | This paper presents a general overview of the advances in mapping impervious surfaces via remote sensing technologies,with an emphasis of summarizing the rationales,methods and implications of impervious surfaces mapping,in an attempt to provide further insights on theoretical and methodological foundations for our subsequent heat environmental studies in the context of medium or large-scale metropolitans. |
