Abstract: | The prevalence of clinical malignant catarrhal fever (MCF) is low in the Netherlands, and at a farm level the disease is usually restricted to a single animal. This casereport describes an outbreak of MCF that killed 18 animals (39% of the cattle on the farm). The probable source of infection were 10 hand-reared lambs that were on the farm for a few months. |
